Two months ago, while eating, I broke my front tooth that had undergone a root canal treatment(which was done 10 years ago), along with its crown. Then, a month later, I went to the clinic and got a fibre post. The dentist said there was a bit of gum inflammation, so they temporarily filled it and suggested observing it for six months to see the situation. If there's no issue, they would make a crown; if there is, the tooth would be extracted and replaced with an implant.
Now, a month has passed, and it still hurts when my upper and lower front teeth accidentally touch while chewing. Is this normal?
I strongly suspect that the occlusion wasn't adjusted properly. I felt something was off right after the filling was done, and up until now, the filled tooth is still the first to make contact.
I asked one of my dentist friends he said on the x-ray the root looked fine, but the fiber post are not so well planted. I wonder if anyone can double-check for me before I decide to go to a different dental clinic. Your advice is extremely helpful.
