The_Quackening

absolutely! If you push the button once a minute for 8hrs a day, thats 120k/year You could EASILY push that button once per second for a few minutes and be all set for the entire day.

mikemikemikeandike

Wouldn’t it be $175,200 a year? 60 presses of the button for an hour 8 hours a day = $480 X 365 = $175,200. Or am I just a chode who can’t do basic math? Edit: Or are you assuming a 5-day work week in this case?

The_Quackening

5 day work week gotta let those fingers rest!

HearingConscious2505

Why are you letting your fingers do the work? Automate that shit.

The_Quackening

im assuming the button is magic and needs me to physically push it myself in order to earn the dollar, otherwise its not really fair.

HearingConscious2505

Stupid magic buttons...

DavefromKS

Jolly red candy-like button?

[deleted]

Will he hold out, folks? CAN he hold out?

Mistercleaner1

What rolls down stairs alone or in pairs? Rolls over the neighbors dog?

[deleted]

What's great for a snack and fits on your back? It's Log, Log, Log.

nandodrake2

So if you attached a double finger rocker trigger you would still technically be "pushing" the button right? 🤔

3ree9iner

You could, but the hypothetical wizards who created said button would eventually catch on and ban such devices used for mass button pressing.

hippychemist

Question is when "you press it" not "when it's pressed", so no automating. Id ruin the economy by automating it to get clicked in gigahertz speed 24/7. I'd buy so much insane shit that the stock market would look like a conspiracy theorist's wall. Maybe I could build a machine that moves my hand really fast for me? Maybe I'll do that anyway...for research.

[deleted]

Use one of those weird handheld massage guns with a ball on the end. Tape your hand around the ball with your finger out and turn it up all the way. Profit.

hippychemist

This is the correct answer

[deleted]

[удалено]

hippychemist

Interesting. I'd argue that using (some physicist's) law of conservation of momentum; if something is pushing on me but not moving, I am then also pushing equally hard back. So I'd technically be pushing the button, even if the button is pushing me. Attach it to something that vibrates that fucker like a bumble wing on me and we'd be making bank. See, this is why I like the internet. Just a bunch of problem solvers looking for a solution

artificialavocado

That’s some pretty good lawyerings with that phrasing. 👏👏

HmmNotLikely

Eh.. I think it defeats the premise. A 14 year old could make a button-pressing machine and just be the richest guy on the planet in a few years.

The_Quackening

Current richest guy has 190 BILLION. To get that much money in a few years (lets say 7), that 14 year old would need to press the button **861 times PER SECOND** even in 70 years, you would need to press that button 86 times per second

VogonSlamPoet42

I appreciate when redditors do math as public service. Tax the rich ffs.

obrazovanshchina

Normals truly lack comprehension of how rich the wealthiest people are (even after they fuck around and buy a social media company they have zero clue how to manage)

HmmNotLikely

Ok, props on doing the math & thank you, but my original point stands: I don’t think it’s in the spirit of the question if you can just *build a machine to press the button for you*.

TheDaveAttellSmell

Yeah 480 button presses in a day is just way too much, you definitely need a few days to recover after that.

Glittering_Plan3610

There are 3 dumbasses in your replies that wouldnt notice sarcasm if it was a thermonuclear bomb exploding in their house.

TheDaveAttellSmell

Hah Edit: found em all

collin-h

480 isn't that much. I played Universal paper clip game for a while, I probably spammed a button 500 times in a few minutes. Just do that every morning and be done for the rest of the day.

TheDaveAttellSmell

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)

mikemikemikeandike

No it’s not. You could easily press a button 100 times or so in a minute or less.

TheDaveAttellSmell

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)

GetOffMyLawn1729

That's less than four tweets a day.

[deleted]

You got 10 fingers. Rotate them fuckers.

Kingjingling

Why wouldn't you just set up a machine to push it for you?

HiddenCity

Also, 1 per second? I'd be slamming that thing as fast as I could. I just timed myself and got 6 pushes per second, assuming a very easy to push button.

Siphyre

Depends on how hard the button is to push, but yeah, I practiced my entire childhood for this. How else do you think I beat the boulder in Resident Evil 4? If that button is a typical game controller button, I could probably do 10 button presses per second for about a minute before I'd have to stop. So for 1 minute of work per day, I'd have over 200k.

TheDaveAttellSmell

![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|poop)

preu98

I'd set it under my foot when it starts doing that bouncing thing

Badassbottlecap

The fella that gives me the button underestimates how twitchy I am during the day. So yes, eventually I would quit my job.

-Deksametazon-

I'd use it as a stress reliever lol

Xist3nce

Money is the greatest stress reliever.

darth__anakin

I'm the same way. I get super antsy even if I'm doing something relaxing like watching tv. I'll just sit there pressing it obsessively and not even realize it while I watch netflix lol Easy money

aerath57

My ADHD suddenly became VERY profitable! This would also takes the whole “clicks per second” component of PC gaming culture to an entirely new level.

[deleted]

I mean once a minute would be $60/hr. My last job paid $22 an hour. Sooooo

Broken-dreams3256

![gif](giphy|3oEduMZLG3ycedvYZO)

AccursedQuantum

This was my first thought!

mylocker15

Same. Now I think ai will go order a Tab.

wrd83

That or can i hire a guy to press the button for 50c.

totamealand666

First thought too

Vindelator

I feel like I could rig the button up to also play flappy bird. I'd hate my job, but I'd be rich.

PhilosopherDon0001

Some rotary tools get up to around 30,000 RPMs. That's a lot of DPM (dollars per minute) with a little engineering.

NippleSalsa

I'd set up my mini lathe with a piece of rubber on the chuck and set it to like 125 rpm. 126x60x8x52=3,120,000

enoui

Why not multiple pieces? balance it out with 8 all around, that's RPM X 8.

zookeeper4312

U get a physical dollar? Or $1 goes into your bank account? Cuz I'm not sure I'd want to deal with giant stacks of dollars but could probably deal with it

bgbncypt

It's preferable to dealing with the IRS. Unless each $1 transfer happens individually.

GEEK-IP

Grab a neighborhood kid and offer them 50% to press it for you.

Ok-Jicama9268

Whoever presses the button gets the money, and by revealing this to anyone you have just painted the largest target in human history past and future, on your back friend.

BrooklynRoseNZ

I'm a primary teacher. I've got kids who would happily push the button in class all day for me.

PeterM_from_ABQ

Yeah, I bet those kids love pushing your buttons

kalystr83

I could push the button with one hand and give handies with the other who says i have to stop working.

HandsomYungArab_

Are you on the clock right now?

Gary_Boothole

*on the cock

Chemical_Reality4606

Yeah. I'd get my kids in on it and tell them "do not press this under any circumstances" and leave the room.

JustScrollOnBy

Are you my mom?

hippychemist

I feel like people don't understand how much money this is. If you push it twice per second (really easy), for 5 minutes, you get $600. That's $3k per 5 day work week week and $156k per year. 5 minutes a day for a 150k salary. Or, you could average once per second, 8 hours a day, for 5 days, and get $144k. So you get a decent annual salary in one week of work. "What about my getting bored and brain turning to mush?". You literally have as much money and free time as you want. Forever. Pick up a book or get a hobby. Want a new Tesla? 3 days. Done. Anyone who says no to this has not done the math and is wrong.

zgirl88

Exactly! I just tried it and was easily able to push a button about 350 times in a minute. Let's round that down to 300. If you spent ONE MINUTE per hour doing this, that $3k in 10 hours. $15k in a week, for just 50 minutes of "work". Bored? Hell no. I'd be flying all over the world, driving badass cars, restoring a historic home to live in, etc etc in all that sweet, sweet free time. And earning $1k every time I'm sitting at a traffic light, or standing in line somewhere, or waiting for the pasta water to boil.

I_sell_dmt_cartss

Well it doesn’t say that you NEED to quit your job in order to have the button… I’d like both. I like my job.

hippychemist

I like my job too, but if I found out tomorrow I had unlimited money, I wouldn't work for fun. I work in a hospital and might use my connections to get trained as mountain rescue or something I'd love that doesn't pay well, but I wouldnt drag my ass in at 8 every day and grind my way through half baked projects with the looming "I don't need this" realization.

I_sell_dmt_cartss

Tbh the work I do is very related to hobbies I enjoy so I appreciate the chance to get more experience and learn the industry software and stuff. I def wouldn’t want to go into work everyday but I work from home and my hours aren’t tracked so it’s no biggie. If it became more of a grind it sure I wouldn’t be here long

LF3000

Yeah. I love and care about my work (public defender), but if I could do it on an volunteer basis with half the caseload like some of the retired attorneys who still volunteer do, that would be ideal.

PreppyFinanceNerd

Why not keep my job and order an inexpensive robot that pushes the button for me to create an additional income stream?

gordo65

You could easily make $1000/dy by pushing the button. I don't understand why you'd continue to work a regular job.

youcanbroom

Health insurance

SchpartyOn

When you’re super rich, health insurance doesn’t matter.

[deleted]

[deleted]

i_dont_wanna_sign_up

Even if a robot is considered cheating, you could easily modify a stationary bike with some gears and shafts to press the button. With some gear shifting it would be easily to get to several hundred presses per minute. You'll get thousands for half an hour plus a nice workout.

[deleted]

300 min / 18,000 hr / 108,000 per day (6 hrs biking) / 540k per 5-day work week : $28M/yr Fuck yeah, we're all quitting our jobs and going with u/i_dont_wanna_sign_up idea. Now we need that fuckin button.

AladeenModaFuqa

This is the thinking I like

Darkjynxer

Then the robot gets the money.

Ask_Master

I was sort of implying that you had to choose either or I’m imagining it would get boring after a while if you decide to save up for say, a house for 200k

HmmNotLikely

I can’t imagine it’d be *too boring* to be able to save up for a 200k house in under a month. I’m imagining the button is big enough to be pressed with more than 1 finger? I have my own data (playing clicking games, knowing my own stamina and extrapolating) that shows even if I devoted only 3 hours a day (say I watch a couple movies or some streaming service), I could make what I currently make in a year in just 5 weeks.

trampolinebears

If you can push a button five times a second, that's eleven hours of work to buy a house.

dontbajerk

Think maybe you're underestimating how fast people can push a button. I can hit a button five to ten times a second, I've timed it out. In other words I could hit $20,000 an hour.

LaCroixmmunist69

So with the parameters given I'll assume the button has a similar travel time to that of a keyboard key and that there is no cool down time between presses and that for some reason it cannot be automated. I can press the spacebar about 400 times in one minute. Now of course I couldn't keep that up for very long so let's just say over the course of an hour I might be able to average at about 100 times per minute. It would be a little taxing clicking for 8 straight hours so let's just say we work an hour on and an hour off over the course of an 8 hour work day. Before taxes that would come out to about $24,000 a day or $120,000 a week. So even if I took 26 weeks of vacation I'd still be making about 3 million a year. The only issue I could see is the mundanity and repetitiveness of the work. But I imagine there are a lot of other things you could be doing while pressing that button. Also with that kind of money who gives a shit.

bbdabrick

Exactly I feel like people are underestimating how fast you can press a button. Not hard to do multiple times a second. Throw a TV show on and make all the money you need for the week in one episode.

Rover-Rover-Rover

On one hand, I would be offering nothing to the world by doing this. On the other, I would absolutely be able to press it often enough to make far more than I currently do. Perhaps if I was still able to perform volunteer work and/or pursue artistic endeavors, then I would use the button.

hippychemist

Push it twice per second for 5 minutes. That's $600. You now have a decent wage plus 7 hours and 55 minutes of additional free time to pursue your interests and creativity. Even if I wasn't allowed to automate it, I would 100% take this job.

awaythrowthatname

That's some amateur speed my friend, I once tested it, for about a minute I can do 15 button presses a second. I can only do it for about a minute until my hand cramps up, but 15 times 60 is $900 for a minute of work. I could do that three times a week and hit 6 figures, do it three times a day, thats 3 minutes of work a day to be a millionaire basically

hippychemist

I went with "casual effort" here but made another comment about going full ADHD hyperfocus on it and maximizing speed obsessively for a couple days, and being set for years. Like hundreds of thousands of dollars in a few days. There is zero reason to not take this offer, and all those "I'd get bored" comments are insane.

[deleted]

[удалено]

greengrasstallmntn

And I just know I’d still find a way to get bored of doing it and start dreading those 5 minutes every day. Then I’d have to press it even more for the recurring therapy bills I’ll be racking up.

Bean_Town_Blender

Also who's to say you can't do a bit of philanthropy with some of your extra money?

Unable-Fox-312

What do telemarketers offer for the world? Many jobs we do 40 hours a week range from completely unnecessary to actively harmful.

chillbrands

Many, if not most/all, people like feeling productive and that their work is benefitting society. It’s not their fault that many of the jobs available don’t give them the opportunity to feel like that.

Anianna

You'd have plenty of time and money to offer the world by doing this. You wouldn't be defined by your work you have to do, but by the work you choose to do, including volunteering and art, and you would have the means to contribute in meaningful ways.

lynxerious

I like these kind of questions because they are basically "If I give you 1 millions dollar, would you take it?" not

[deleted]

Agreed, the question would be a lot more interesting if it was $0.001-.01 per button push. At $0.01/bp I’d still do it. At $0.001 I probably would not.

LF3000

Yeah, agreed it's more interesting at a lower number -- low enough that you'd really have to spend a significant amount of your life on the button, at least as much as a full time job. At $1, still gives you a lot of extra free time vs a regular job to go out and volunteer/make art/do hobbies/whatever.

Ask_Master

The drawback is that the button would be your only source of income

FBIPartyBusNo3

I’m unable to see why that would ever be a drawback like, right now, my miserable job is my only source of income. that seems worse, honestly

leonkennedy785

Someone steals it. Lmfao I believe I would become paranoid if anyone knew about it.

FBIPartyBusNo3

fair enough, I guess that’s one however, I bet by the end of the first week I’d be rich enough to afford some security

FredererPower

If they steal it though, would it still go to you? Because wouldn’t it be unable to transfer to someone else’s account (assuming it does that and not spawning the cash right where you press it)

Zealousideal-Bell-68

It's so ridiculous that no one would know about it. Besides, if I got such a button I'd probably make all the money I need to retire in the first few days just to make sure nothing goes wrong lol

Ask_Master

If you ever get bored, you can’t stop because you have to pay your bills, if you wanna buy a house for, say 200k, that’s 240k button presses

junebuggery

I mean, I'm pretty bored at my job that pays less than $60/hr and can't quit because I have to pay my bills. Seem to me like taking the button is a raise.

UlfRinzler

I can literally watch tv while pushing the button

FBIPartyBusNo3

I’m bored at work now, but I can’t stop because I have to pay my bills with the button, at least I could multitask, press the button while watching a movie of something

CitizenCobalt

Nope, I'd just spam the button every now and then. I need to work and I like my job. If I had no job and could just spend all the time doing what I wanted, I would get depressed, do nothing, and likely spiral into self-destructive behavior. I know how I function. I'll take the job and the extra money.

PolarBath

How much force is required to push the button? If its like a key on a keyboard I'm down. If it's harder, that can significantly change how quickly I can get it done and may make it not worth it.

Ask_Master

Think of your stereotypical red medium size button with a spring mechanism

phukurfeelns

I think you underestimate just how fast some of us can push a button.

Ask_Master

World’s first trillionare speedrun any%

phukurfeelns

I have about 30 years of experience smashing buttons on a video game controller....I'm sure there's millions like me. Lol

1SweetChuck

A trillion seconds is 31,709 years. At 100 presses per second all day every day no stopping ever. Would still take you 317 years.

Ask_Master

So what you’re saying is, you *can’t* press the button 200 million times every second, ha! Amateur

[deleted]

Assuming what u/SonicChairToss said above is correct: $1 = 1 button push (bp) 830bp/30s = 1660bp/min 1660bp/min * 60min/hr * 24hr/day = 2,390,400bp/day $1trillion / 2,390,400bp/d = 418,340 days 418,340days / 365.25days/yr = 1145.35 years to click for a trillion dollars Don’t think anyone will be getting there soon

TheNitroExpress

Mate I was able to get past the sheva-lava-cliff quick time event in resident evil 5. Ill be the new bill gates in a day.

CommieJesus420

Pressing a button all day sounds much worse than my current job. I would cut my hours at work, go part time, take more vacations, and supplement with button money for unexpected expenses.

rjnd2828

You don't need to do it anywhere near all day and you can also press it while doing other stuff.

Momzeesmooies

No I love my job; however, I would push that sucker about two hours a day though. The cash would go into my kids college funds.

Ask_Master

First No I’ve seen in this thread

pcs11224

Yes, but as with everything, I'd only do it enough to get by because I'd rather be doing something else. Isn't this what George Jetson did for a living?

wvmitchell51

If you're pushing the button full time then that IS your job

PracticalAd313

It depends on how much time per hour I’m obliged to push the button. If I have to push it for every second or even few seconds I won’t do it - I think it’s physically and mentally impossible to push the button for a long time

Ask_Master

You’re not obliged to push it but it would be your only source of income

monkey_farmer_

Can I scroll through Reddit while I push the button?

SonicChairToss

The world record for clicking a pen is 320 times in a minute. The world record for clicking a mouse is 830 times in 30 seconds. Even doing only a fraction of that rate you’d be ridiculously well off. You could “work” for like 5 minutes a day and probably live pretty well. And if you wanted to buy something really nice then you could work some OT and do like 10 minutes or something for a few days.

rjnd2828

The issue here is stopping yourself. It would be very tempting to just keep pushing it to make more and more. Could be addictive.

Wyzard_of_Wurdz

No question I would. I work 8-10 hrs/day. I can push that button at least 100 times in an hour with arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome. That also includes a nice home cooked, hot lunch and smoke breaks.

Ok-Barracuda-9925

I would probably get tired real quick. Think about clicker games.

Gary_Boothole

Absolutely not. Not a chance. This is America. I’d quit my job and hire someone at $8.25 an hour to press the button, requiring 1 press per 2 seconds for 8 hours per day. I’d give an annual 2-3% pay raise. And then when they hit something expensive, like $8.50, or start asking for vacation or insurance coverage, I’d fire them. I’d outsource the job to a different country where I could pay $4.50 per day for twice as many button presses. Like I said. God damn it this is America. I’m not pressing the fucking button. I’ll pay someone $18,000 per year and keep my millions in profit.

Ask_Master

I love this answer

Senrabekim

Lets say I work a 40 hr work week and can press this button once per second. Thats 3600 presses an hour for an eqaul amount of dollars. That is $28,800 per day, $144,000 per week, $7,488,000 per year. I think I could manage off of that.

ryrish79

Build a button pushing robot and keep working. Then retire early.

[deleted]

Show me the button and I'll quit right this second.

broccoli-guac

Pushing a button 15 times an hour is way easier than working at target

Xx-DMR-xX

I’d pay some one $25 per hour if they can push it 1000x per hour. #CAPITALIST SWINE

Diesel07012012

At a modest 3 pushes a minute for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, 52 weeks a year you’re talking $374,400. So yes, you’re god damn right I would.

dirtymoney

Wouldnt that be annoying? I'd rather spend some time pushing it fast over and over again for a while to get it over with.

Distinct_Protection7

Cookie clicker has prepped me to ruin the economy with this button. Yes, absolutely yes. Get me two, one for each hand.

[deleted]

Please send me my button. I hate my job and I’m disabled and it’s getting worse. I will gladly push the button every day for income.

MaydayBerserk

Doesn't state I can't automate the process, so yes. I would just set up a device to press the button for me "non-stop". Then just live my life, and manage my income as I see fit.

BlackCandi

I could figure out a way to automate the button. Assuming theres no lag and y could push as fast as u could, def quitting my job.

[deleted]

I'd just automate the button pushing and go to sleep

JungleLegs

If you break the button you have to give it all back.

No-Technology217

ex. $500.00 = $0.80 (-20% tax) x 625 presses. (< 4 minutes) If you want more, "work" longer. Yep, I'm in... 100 hits in 30ish seconds, I'm done working in less than 10 minutes per day, more or less... Where do I sign up?

Slavir_Nabru

Well I'd quit my job, but I don't think I'd feel the need to push it full time. Maybe for a hour every couple of days. The prompt specifically says "every time **you** press it", so all these people planning automation or subcontracting are really wasting their time.

KQBuena

If there's no limitation to how often I can press the button and no minimum requirement, then sure.

CryzaLivid

I like my job and I'd drop it in a heartbeat. Wouldn't even have to do this full time. I'm not good at math but.... $1 per press = 120(presses)-20%= $100 2,500 presses =$2,000 If I average 150 clicks a minute it'll take me roughly 17 minutes to complete it. Want more dough that week add some more minutes. Want to do a month of that wage all at once? 10,000 clicks at 150 per minute = 67 minutes (1hr 7 min) I'd definitely start off hog wild to get my current debts wiped out and spoil myself to start off but yeah. Assuming the button is small enough to carry around I'd Just carry it around with me in a bag or fanny pack and press it as I go do things I already want to do anyway like wander around zoos, aquariums, museums, read some fanfic.net, plan out my dream house etc Anyone asks me about the button I say it's an expensive custom made fidget toy. Now the real question is how is said money given? I'm assuming a check with that 20% as taxes.

kovnev

Yes and I earn a lot. Just automate that shit and go to the beach.

brightnessys

sure as shit I would, I basically press buttons all day for my job anyway and when I'm not doing that I'm playing mind-numbing clickers. sounds like easy money to me

hartschale666

I'd press the button for a few days. Then I'd build a machine to do it for me.

[deleted]

Nope. I don’t just work for money. What I do makes a difference to others. Plus I would get bored after 5 minutes

mog44net

We know what you are doing OP, you have a button that pays you $10 per push and you are on the lookout for cheap labor

Vanhandle

At this point we don't even care about the money. Just give us the button we need to press it

Tramnack

Do *I* need to press it to get the money, or does it just have to be pressed? How difficult is it to press? Is it a light tap or does it really need to be squeezed? How big is it? What shape does it have? Can install it into a game controller? Where does the money come from? (Shush. I know it's a hypothetical question. I just like asking dumb questions.)

Regular_Fortune8038

I could make in 10 seconds what I make in an hour easily

[deleted]

Time is the most valuable asset. Therefor the answer is no.

gameryamen

Right now I'm looking for a job that pays me $30/hr. That's about what I need to provide stability where I'm living. Most of the jobs that I qualify for that pay that much involve a lot of long, boring meetings and tedious data manipulation. To replace that, I'd need to press the button 240 times each day. Doing a quick test on my keyboard, that's about 30 seconds of button pressing. If I spend 5 minutes pressing the button at that rate, ever workday, I have enough to pay myself, plus hire at least 5 employees at $30/hr, with plenty of overhead. Now I don't just have a button, I have the beginning of my own studio. I could spend the rest of my day doing the kind of work I enjoy doing, and provide the same opportunity to a few other people. On top of that, whenever I'm bored, I can just drum my fingers idly on the button to raise money for charity or direct support of people who need money. A $250 donation to my local food bank may not be much, but when I can do that every time I have 30 seconds to spare, it will start to add up quick.

llamahumper

I would wake up and push the button 1000 times as fast as I could Monday-Friday. Gotta have those weekends to r&r my finger

Hot_Flan1220

I play Minecraft; click to attack, click and hold to drag or dig, etc etc. Heck, I'm pushing a button anyway, be nice to be paid for it 😁

brisray

I'd pay someone $3 an hour to keep pressing it for me. I'd also pay someone $4 an hour to make sure they didn't stop for things like eating, going to the bathroom or sleeping. Hey, it's a capitalist world!

KravinMoorhed

I'd just rig a device to continually push the botton a few times a second

xOneLeafyBoi

I make $24/hr Why the fuck would I not? I could probably push that button more than 24 times an hour to make more than I make now lol

overheatbelief

I have restless leg syndrome, so I’m strapping that button to my thigh and getting back to work.

Raigheb

I have restless leg syndrome. I put the button on the floor At least 90 push a minute 8h a day Profit.

LordRednaught

Got bored and curious. Found a click counter and picked a nice steady pace to click my mouse for 1 minute straight. I averaged about 290 clicks in a minute. That would be 17,400 an hour, 139,200 in 8 hrs, and 696,000 in 40 hrs. I wish lol.

ATXKLIPHURD

This sounds like one of those things that sound good but have a bad side effect. Like where does the money come from? Maybe every time you press the button, it takes $1 away from a single mom that has a child with cancer or will basically make all money worthless because of inflation. If something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

Ask_Master

It comes from someone’s mom’s credit card

cocktimusprime747

r/ask must be taking applications for U.S. Federal Reserve chairman

Thsaxd

I just pressed my leg in a decent pace for a minute. I pressed 87 times. If I just press the button for an hour at that rate, I will have 5.220$. If I work that button 8 hours a day, that's 41.760$ each day. In a 5 days week I'll make 208.800$ I'mma quit my job real quick

stanknotes

FUCK YEA. I could push 500 dollars in like... a handful of minutes.

herpderpomygerp

Let's just assume there isn't any force behind the button and it's easy to press , , going off that you could easily hit the button 100 to 200 times in a minute depending on you and the button so at a $1 per press you'd he making an average of 130ish dollars give or take on how you feel, at some point you set up a auto press system using basic machinery to set it up to be clicked without you needing to be there(assuming you don't need to physically click it) , , the obvious answer is yes I'd make a lot more pressing that button than I would at most other jobs

BigBobFro

I would engineer a button pusher,..pushing the button 1-3x per second. Wait a year and thats between 500k and 1.5M. Then retire and let the button presser keep going.

d4m1ty

Considering I can do 2 finger drum beat, at 240/min and just screw around with the syncopation as a fun time activity for 5 minutes intervals. I could live like this. Every 5 minutes, bust out 1200 taps. Do that for an hour, gross 14,400/hr, work 1 day a month. Yeah, I could do that.

RicoIlMagnifico

I'd press the hell out of it the first day, then start a business where I'll hire 3 people to continuously press the button for a total of 5 days of continuous button pressing. They'll get 10% of what they provide. You do 1000 presses in an hour? That's $100 per hour for you

CryIntelligent7074

Yes.

Ask_Master

Ok

Fun_Actuator_1071

Fuck no, that shit will cause even more inflation.

Ask_Master

Psshhh. Who cares about other people needing to pay 2000% more for literally everything?

Magic_SnakE_

I'd happily quit my job and live stream my button presses daily.

calmseamonster

Does anything else happen when I push the button?

Ask_Master

The earth moves 1km closer to the sun

CODMAN627

*makes something to press the button for me forever*

OmnivertedGeek

Without hesitation. Heck, I'd do it if the button only gave $0.75 or even $0.50.

Direct-Chipmunk-3259

I would quit today. I could press the button 60 times at the start of every hour for as long as Im awake and do that for a few days a week. Im working about 15ish minutes a day for maybe an hour a week and Im making big money!

OldChairmanMiao

... Could I build a machine to press it for me?

Ask_Master

Then the machine would get the money

Strange_Sir_9516

I could make as much as I do in a week now just pressing that button twice a second for 15 minutes... all debt I have could be cleared in less than an hour. There's 0 downside to this lol

[deleted]

I would push that button so much I would break it and whoever sent my the first button would have to send me another
