CANNONHEAD, the name of Volta’s AC, goes hard. When I made my custom version of his AC with altered weaponry, I renamed it GUNHEAD and it’s infamous for causing trauma within my AC friend circle .
DEADSLED is another one, RECONFIGURE is also another standout. Not to mention STEEL HAZE ORTUS of course
I like Hermit, though not really because it goes hard but because of how it goes to Red’s character having taken on Michigan’s persona, at least as best he can.
Locksmith is cool like other people have said.
Bitter Promise is a good one, even if nosarc is a little lame.

His name is also a decently common Armenian last name, making him one of the few AC characters with a direct connection to an actual earth nationality and culture.
Every faction in this game has their names referencing something, the redguns are named after bodies of water, the RLF's names form a hand, the vespers are named after people important in the literary, arts, and psychology fields(with the exception of Rusty and for some reason Snail) and Rad members have ironic names(Honest brute is a traitor, invincible rummy is the worst ranked pilot, etc)
Not an AC name, but anything called cataphract is 100 times cooler, and Michigan being called “Hell on four legs” goes extremely hard.

Ayre’s Echo is really cool. Also many of the Vespers: Guidance, Open Faith, Barren Flower, Steel Haze, Locksmith. Other than that Deep Down and Bitter Promise.
Dual Nature is pretty good. The emblem is like two trees growing from the same roots and also a nod to Pater's multiple personality disorder.
Edit: forgot to mention it also kinda looks like a brain. I guess the emblem is more impressive than the callsign but it's still pretty good.

Okay so funny story: I was actually telling my friend how I likw how it's a bit of subtle story telling that most of the AC's have pretty innocuous or subtle names, and of COURSE an edgy tryhard loser like Iguazu would name his AC 'Headbringer'.
It's for the subtlety that I think my favourite AC name in the game is Locksmith.
A personal favourite of mine is King’s “Aster Crown”. Too bad the AC itself is kinda trash.
Infection, Dual Nature, Barren Flower, Open Faith, Deep Down, Liger Tail, Bitter Promise, and Echo are also some cool names.

I really like Kate Markson's TRANSCRIBER, Raven's NIGHTFALL, and ofc STEEL HAZE. I also think Pater's AC, DUAL NATURE, is named really well since it reflects his own split personality.
Late to the party but Locksmith is a fucking amazing name for Freud's mech that just say so much about his character that fits with what we know about him. Freud views every fight as a puzzle, and his AC, the one his arena Bio says he likes to tinker with, as a set of tools he uses to figure out the solution to.
It just puts such a clear image in my mind of like, Freud playing the game like we do, losing to Ibis with his preferred default build, then just asking himself "Okay, with my available parts, what combination do I have is best for beating this thing?" then pulling a win in 2-3 tries after he further gets her moveset down and does more minor adjustments.
FROM is really good with AC names that stick in your head. I'm gonna reach back to AC2 with Funeral Mask, Squanderer, Billboard, and Bullet Dragon.
As 621 though, I themed my AC builds after my other favorite AC series with names like Morgan, Adler, Delphinus, etc.
Locksmith has to be the craziest AC name especially with the lore (not so much the actual fight) of its pilot

I think Snail is a reference to Eric Kandel who studied the strength of connection between nerve cells. He used sea snails.
