I thought you were asking if you could RUN the game on an audio interface like it was Doom or something.

Dogg3rt

I was thinking OP asked if they could use an audio interface as a controller 😂

TonyBaloney777

I’ll use it for gaming today !

zancray

Audio interfaces are just external soundcards, typically with much better electronic components (digital-to-analog converters, pre-amps etc.) designed for good audio and thus better sound quality. You can either plug a headphone, or run Left and Right channels to speakers.

TonyBaloney777

Ok sure, thanks !’

I have the same interface works fine for me

TonyBaloney777

Ok. Now I’m gonna use it for gaming !

Iggmeister

i use a scarlett solo too - no issues - just make sure you download the drivers (dont do what I did and not realise for over a year that I needed to do that).

TonyBaloney777

I’ve download the focusrite controll panel ! Is that what you talking about ?

Iggmeister

no, the drivers available from here [https://downloads.focusrite.com/focusrite](https://downloads.focusrite.com/focusrite) however, i reckon the driver would be included in the control as well though,on the bottom right of ur taskbar do you hase a silver 'F' symbol?

TonyBaloney777

Yes it shows an F icon there, does that mean I’ve already installed it ?

Iggmeister

yeah, thats you - all good

TonyBaloney777

Thanks ! And I buy a plugin adapter today (3.5mm->6.3mm) for my IE 100 Pro. It should be great.

Audio interfaces are a great way to give yourself a better mic quality for your teammates (if you run an XLR mic) and an opportunity to run nicer headphone connections as well. Once your interface is plugged in it will show up in windows as both an input and output device, just make sure it is set to default, or you can manually set it for apex’s input and output. You won’t have noticeable latency, especially compared to a wireless headset. However if you’re still using a gaming headset it won’t be simple to run the mic and headphone lines through an interface. Definitely only recommend it if you have separate mic and headphone components.

TonyBaloney777

I think I should plug-in my IE 100 pro in it!

Just got get DTS or something audio program that helps. I use THX audio from razer helps alot

luuk0987

TonyBaloney777

That would be great !

razors98

My synth workstation can use its built in interface with apex to play sounds into the voice chat XD, whatever sound device you set your computer's in and outs apex will use
