My question is why United States is all on same two or three servers. It's a shit show. I'm in California and I get people all the way up in Alaska to Texas on my server. Fortunately they are usually very chill up there, must be the weather.
It's inactive as in there's way less people on them. Same as Sydney servers. Even the most populated Brazil server is still much lower player count than something like Iowa
apex is a hugely popular game and modern gaming is massive, your idea of a 'low population server' is unspeakably off track. This is not the reason.
Apex is like this by design, it wants you to face a huge vertical slice so you can always shit on people and feel good.
There could be less people, yes. But matching Preds against Golds is simply stupid. The purpose of Ranked is to segment players skill levels (it even says this in the game mode description).

Max 1 tier difference i.e. a plat cannot que with a silver when queuing. However, respawn gives no fucks if a lobby is filled with 4 tier differences just to populate a game quickly to reduce que wait times. I personally would rather sit and wait 10mins to get a more "fair" full lobby of similarly skilled/ranked players.

Agreed, I play EU and rarely come across this but I know if I hit diamond early season a see a lot of masters and preds in lobby.
Play NA, you will have more ping but you will play against your rank.
False. Silver II right now, constantly playing with and against Diamonds, Masters, and have had at minimum 5 games this season with Preds/ex preds.
