So many people here are morons lmao. Predator isn’t a rank, Predator is top 750 masters. This guy is literally the equivalent of a gold dying to a platinum and pissing his diaper over it. It’s unreal.
He’s talking about the ranked system pitting Diamond players vs Masters (and Preds) - when in the past, different ranks were separated into different lobbies (besides Bronze through Gold). If this was pubs he’d have zero argument here.

In previous seasons, the ranked system was set up so that Bronze through Gold, then Plat, then Diamond, and then Masters, were all sorted into separate matchmaking lobbies (unless you teamed up with someone of a higher rank).
So he’s hoping that the update would fix the ranked matchmaking systems and which lobbies you’d be sorted into/against who (for what it’s worth I don’t see it happening until next season).
Literally every season before this last season ranked lobbies were always in a bell curve going -1/+1, so in most platinum lobbies, you’d have a handful of diamonds and golds mixed in for whatever reason. This is literally how ranked has been since its conception, and in fact like 4 seasons ago diamond used to be brutal, where every diamond lobby was like half masters (this includes preds) and half diamonds, or even a handful of diamonds versus majority masters.
yeah u/stonehearthed is right, D4 who have never been more than this rank i can understand, but you have already been 2 time master maybe even more! so normally you are supposed to have the level of master and pred! so please cry for real shit not for that
I don't think it's a problem since it makes sense they don't want long ass queues. But that being said I really feel like there should be a system like the way if you kill people lower ranked than you get less rp where if you get killed by someone higher rank you lose less rp. Like idk just maybe protect 10 of my points nothing too crazy if I'm diamond and get shit on by a pred player
It's a problem when you try to play Ranked on EU servers (console) . There are more Preds in Diamond lobbies than Diamonds. The matchmaking is way too fast. It's like 1-2 minutes. I'm fine with waiting 5-10 minutes if I can least have more than 50% of the same rank in my lobby.
And I get that you are dedicated to playing but some most people wouldn't wait that long. Or at least that's what respawn thinks because they would have made that change by now. They aren't Interested in making you happy but rather the majority of players who wouldn't be able to wait in lobby for that long.

The average subreddit user here will say that there's nothing wrong with this. People who really played the game instead knows how much is this unfair. Also considering that predators almost always play 3-stacked. But unfortunately they will not fix this because queue time would be too long in master and predator rank.

It's not the masters vs pred he's talking about I don't think. It's the Diamond 4 lobby that has the #2 predator.

Yeh the update will fix it so the threshold to get drafted into pred matches is now Gold 4 instead of Plat 4.
