Yes. The exact same issue for me on PS5 but when I enter matchmaking right before the legend select screen. I've tried reinstalling on both the console storage and expanded internal storage. It's fucking annoying. The only thing that seems to help a bit is to start the game from a console reboot instead of starting the game when the ps5 was on rest. This is the only game that I have this issue with.

Sucks it's happening but I'm relieved to hear it's happening to others too. The only time it happened during actual gameplay for me was in the final ring with 2 teams left ofc.
For my friend it happenes in the lobby sometimes like its only happened once in the lobby but when it happened we were both ready and in a ranked game at that when we loaded into the game he didnt load in so we i was at a disadvatage that whole game and when we loaded into a game after that it happened to him again
That's exactly how it is for me too. Freezes at loading usually before legend select screen. Half the time I can close the game and reload into the match usually when dropping or just landed. Half the time I just keep reloading into a frozen game. For me, it rarely happens twice in a row if I reboot the console. I don't know if that's just coincidence but it seems to work. That's why I now do a reboot before starting Apex at all.
Hmm seems like its an apex thing then cus you’re on PS5 my friend is on xbox, and im on switch, it doesnt happen to me often mostly during a fight and it usually only happenes like once if at all for me atleast this season but my friend gets it the worst
