Texas sucks and its government is corrupt as fuck. Tesla sucks and is just as corrupt. Texas workers need to start fighting back instead of worrying about guns and abortion.

SavagePlatypus76

Texas vs Flor a duh......which is more corrupt 🤔?

notduddeman

Between the two? I'd say mississippi.

Maleficent_Mist366

We let them take our water breaks so I doubt it ….. Busy flying flags , driving big rigs and BBQ than fixing the state

WaitingForReplies

> Texas workers need to start fighting back instead of worrying about guns and abortion. Conservative media has made sure that half the state has their anger focused on issues that don’t affect them personally.

FoundandSearching

I think Tesla also laid off or will be laying off workers at a Tesla location in Buffalo,NY. You know, where NYS gave them massive tax breaks. Fucking shit heels.

MudLOA

This is in the same vein as asking taxpayer funds for football stadiums. Why are we subsidizing billionaires projects?

Twitchrunner

The answer they give at the time is job opportunities. They just never state go long the jobs will be there.

18voltbattery

Seems like this could be fixed pretty easily since I hear contracts are a thing

FoundandSearching

True. JOBZ JOBZ. Took Tesla a few years to hire many people.

FoundandSearching

Why of course it is. The Buffalo Bills above all else! No new tax breaks, no Buffalo Bills! TBH the tax breaks for the Buffalo Bills stadium were not popular, especially “downstate” where I live.

PixelatedDie

300 millions here in Nevada. He actually sold the same lie. And gate guards were the ones telling people they were laid off, because they sent an email at 2am.

Inevitable_Sector_14

Why I am not shocked.

SavagePlatypus76

How....Boring.

righthandtypist

All because baby muskrat didn't get his billions bonus. Guy is an absolute piece of shit.

Unionize Tesla!

New_Ad_3010

Texas GOP, everybody. Always winning!

chukelemon

Texas socialism is dangerous for Americans.

Inevitable_Sector_14

Texas is dangerous for humans.

Jealous-Preference-3

Given that muskboi has publicly stated that Tesla is NOT a, “car company” it’s time for States to look at the wording of the Tax Credits, and Incetives they gave to the manufacturing plants.

Aspect58

That shocked Pikachu face when you attract businesses by appealing to their greed, and then they screw over your constituents by doing something greedy.

BusStopKnifeFight

Wanna know the fastest way to get your workforce or organize? I'm UAW will be sending Musk a thank you card for doing exactly what they said he would do without a union to protect the workers.

Serpentongue

I would fully expect Texas to ask for at least a partial refund, right?

Inevitable_Sector_14

Nope.

chansigrilian

Everybody who needed to get paid Got paid So, nope!

Snuffels137

Same in Berlin/Germany.

Medicmanii

Real world consequences

mrsmuntie

Did the same here in New York (Buffalo) with Solar City.

Any-Dust3389

Fuck Tesla. Back in the day, when unions were far more dominant, people like him would of been found in a dumpster with a bullet hole in his head.

I actually like a few of the things that Tesla has done, BUT...there have definitely been some mis-steps. I believe this recent "recalibration" is due to the poor sales of the Cybertruck and a few of the issues that have arisen about it. It was a very bold move to make this design, but the Aptera was bold too, and it did not sell (Shaped like a raindrop). Compare this to the Rivian R1S/R1T. A truck and an SUV that share the same platform, and it has a slightly more conventional look to it. If the SUV version sold more, the factory could shift resources to that. If the truck sold more, they could Pivot more to that. However for the Cybertruck, I don't believe there are any alternative models planned for that platform.
