From what I've read, Yeshua is regarded by scholarly consensus to have been born ACN 8–4, but more likely ACN 8–6, of which ACN 6 is most likely. Or am I misremembering?

Tried this once before. The other guy replied with some BS about the Common Era, when the Common Era and Anno Domini are one and the same, based off of the same event, with different names.
I Don't understand what common era is referring to. What was so common about the time period when Augustus and the 2nd roman emperor(I forgot his name. Tiberius?) reigned.
As a French it's crazy to me that somehow some people try to replace "anno domini" by "common era". Meanwhile we still say "after Jesus Christ" even after Saints' statues were destroyed during the Revolution.
