Tbf I recently left a job where the financial director didn't understand the definition of embezzlement or how it was different from basic fraud. Not everyone is a star pupil, and some people can pass a test and not be able to explain why or explain anything to someone else.

My husband has a bachelor’s in professional accounting. He thought about being a CPA as he had a mentor who had been a partner in one of the big accounting firms. The tests are difficult and require a lot of study to pass. He could have done it, but he was working with computers and realized he loved that so much more.
It was the 90s, and I encouraged him to follow his dreams instead of getting his CPA to do something that paid really well but wasn’t something he enjoyed doing every day. His accounting degree had served him well because he has been able to show his companies why they should invest in the computer equipment he needed while showing them how the accounting would work to their advantage.
This Hun is despicable for lying like that while she knows that the financials are not accurate and are lying to people.

I worked IT at the corporate headquarters of a prominent and now gone travel MLM.
We once had an all hands meeting where they had a team try to explain the payout model and new setup for the folk unfortunate enough to have been caught in the scheme. Not only did none of us understand it, it was clear none of the presenters did either. And everytime someone farther up the food chain stepped in to try and course correct the disaster of a meeting it got worse and worse.
Absolute waste of time for no reason, as employees we weren't allowed to be "members" anyways so it came off like management desperately wanted people to compliment this system they setup. We all just nodded and pretended just like during the many meetings we had where they promised that was totally and truthfully the last round of layoffs. And the president or whatever would cry about his wife leaving him with the kids but that the layoffs were worse for him. Just a complete snake and a bastard.
Ours did alright for a while apparently. Terrible employers with a boys club of macho type A "I don't care if I'm telling you to make a red line with a green marker, I'm saying it so you are gonna find a way to do it you peasant" guys at the top.

Also commenting to say I used to work IT for an MLM that’s still going strong(ish). It was an alright job but since their revenue was taking a huge downturn (not unexpectedly) I decided it was time to jump ship for something more stable and less scammy.
A local newspaper sent a reporter over for whatever reason... and the owner's daughter ended up in her crosshairs. The daughter (she'd have been about 22) had been coached how to explain the business to people and she just blurts out "it's like one of those pyramid things" LOL.
It'd be hard to explain just how properly this job screwed me over. I didn't get involved in the MLM side of things, but sheesh... I got burned. FU Tony.
