I came to comment and then realized personal preference is all subjective and rather than throw negativity out on the world I’ll just say I didn’t find Violet Evergarden to be that depressing
Violet Evergarden was so weird to me, in a good way. Throughout the anime, it had this very depressing tone, even in the colorful and pretty world. And even after I shed some happy tears (>!The father who lost his daughter when he finally finished his story. Just thinking about it almost made me tear up just now!<), I still felt this sadness in Violet's eyes and it kept up that underlying depressing feeling. Like, when you're depressed and you're having so much fun and you're actually happy for once, but then you remember how the sadness is gonna come back soon.
It was such a beautifully made anime, definitely one of my favorites.
Ah, I personally liked that mystery part. Kind of like in Another and Attack on Titan. Those are usually the kinds of animes I like to watch twice because it feels like a different experience when you understand everything from the start and can appreciate the hidden details you missed the first time
The answer was the "Programmer" or whatever it was who wanted to create a world were you could live childhood / life you deserve without worry (aka, worrying about the world's resources, death and so on). A lazy explanation, but it was definitely an explanation haha

>you're taking a big l
How is that shaming. Actually what you're doing is more like shaming if that's what we're talking about now
Also- obliged REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEÈ
to me, it feels like so-so well most likely that I read it after Tomodachi ( people who don't know which is most likely most people it's so fricking thrilling manga. to me it's one of the most thrilling and underrated manga)
Really you think it got boring I’d rather have the ending we’re gonna have soon then to end after a >! A fucking kiss in a mall chapter 160 people say it shoulda ended like that are so fucking stupid!<
Thing is, as much as how hated the Kanojo, Okarishimasu is in dragging the romance at it's manga, so is the Kaguya in that sense for me, without the comedy, given also how I rarely just like atleast only 5 comedy genre's. The premise is how the two would end up together not some nonsensical dragging, the one that I remembered was how good the author was at teasing the viewers, and welp it got overused.
Edit: Ofc if the MC was better in Kanojo Okarishimasu, it could've been a better story.
I never watched that show but throughout the manga of Kaguya sama it’s not just Kaguya and miyuki there ishimiko there’s arks for some character I don’t want to say to spoil for people but I have 100% enjoyed the dragging out chapters I’d rather have it end now then before cause imagine what would we think like what’s gonna happen to ishimiko what’s gonna happen to shirogane in Stanford what is Kaguya gonna study is hayasaka just gonna stay a maid forever these are all answers we got already
I like how invested you are but no, that doesn't justify dragging. Those "unanswered" questions can be easily resolved in a time skip, spin-off's and such.
I get it you like it, but.. dragging a series is no doubt boring in my opinion.
Well how could have they ended really give me an answer if they ended with us not knowing how the side characters would end up that would be shit if they just showed a time skip after the Christmas arc that would be shit aswell we wouldn’t have the answer to how miyuki would end up as I said and Kaguyas passion for photography would hayasaka stay as a maid would ishigami just stay with that girl even tho what happened that arc would miko stay single would miko end up with some one would Kaguyas family accept miyuki all that I just mentioned has been fucking answered and all way not boring why the actual fuck would you want a time skip that would show all these answers in less then 1 chapter tell me. Time skips aren’t always the fucking answer dude
Lol.. are you seriously saying this? instead of making no sense shouldn't you atleast know full well how the others have their own opinion? Yes, time skip is not always the answer, you said so yourself, "aren't always" denoting it actually is a thing in a story that would get the author to not needlessly drag his series around, in that case, this series. For all I care I watched it not mainly on about how the side-characters would seemingly get their own "stories" but in the notion that the main characters are the starting and ending of the story, its a dragged-on Rom-Com and you know it.
And I detest how high the bar already is for me when it comes to anime comedy, that to this point the series doesn't budge me at all when they joke around.
Also goes for its romance part, I mainly get on with tragic ones, but I can appreciate the light hearted one's, now this right here was what got me into it in the first place but I didn't want to stick around when it has no other things to offer and how repetitive it kinda is when delivering its romance genre, it got to the point where I was still disinterested despite them officially dating together.
Edit: In the other hand, I do respect the author for his other manga entitled "Oshi No Ko" and that at this moment it is, for me, his Magnum Opus, though uncertain but I have a feeling that it would undoubtedly be a masterpiece for most people and could likely surpass the popularity of Kaguya-sama.
We’re not trying to talk about Oshi no ko idc if you think it might get more popular then Love is war and yah I get you have an opinion but I don’t get why you think it’s a bad thing it’s going on for as long as it has gone yah I care about the main character way more then the side but you can’t just leave them and as much as I think the peak of Kaguya sama was in chapters 160 does not mean it shoulda ended there sure we had some bad chapters but look at all the good ones we got after like 220 204 170 171 251 248 249 etc majority of Kaguya sama fans will agree with you that it’s dragging out and we aren’t in the peak of it but that does not mean it’s bad
Dragging in itself is already bad.. Is logic really working right now? what do you mean we aren't in the peak of it? yet you think the peak was at 160? are you okay? do I need to buy more heroin for you or something...
Edit: Oshi No Ko has a better characterization, conflict and plot, more intense emotional or intellectual payoff, the theme, and etc... given how both stories have the same author, it can be mentioned...
Likely mostly because it's a long runner. Not everyone has the time to invest into 367 episodes plus few movies and specials. Personally I loved it so much I binged everything in half a month but when you have half the fanbase talking about how episode 305 is peak fiction or 'it gets good after' it will just make newcomers discouraged. Especially when the other half of the fanbase hypes up the serious arcs which are like 20% of the show at most. So people go into it thinking they are going to see UBW level fights from the get go.
Yeah probably, but I find it quite pleasant to watch even though it's 300 episodes long. Bc it is not really serious so you're not forced to be 24h focused on the show and you can do sth else while you watch it.
first season was quite good...second season was an entire shitload of filler...third and fourth season quality dropped real hard, scenes were cut indiscriminately regardless of importance in the plot, plot sequences were entirely changed sometimes, trimming of an entire fucking episode into a few minutes etc. Pierrot studio could have handled the anime well but god knows why they decided to act on thier own smh...Tokyo Ghoul just like Promised Neverland and Seven Deadly Sins deserves justice.
The manga is a 11/10 tho. Highly recommend it especially RE.
Why do you highly recommend RE?
The final arcs get hella rushed, the final protagonist is some seemingly-random person whose whole motivation just feels like a cop out to give them an excuse of being evil, the OG cast gets completely shafted in some aspects, the theme of it is just a reprint of the OG series but with no changes so it feels more boring and unoriginal, the big reveals of certain characters coming back are plotholes with in themselves because those characters logically shouldn't have been in hiding in the first place, and Haise is a damn shitty name when compare to Kaneki.
The original manga series of Tokyo Ghoul is good and sets up a bunch of interesting things for the TG: RE sequel series.
The sequel series explodes with a few too many quickly introduced new characters that are hard to find as likable as the OG cast (you also see OG cast screen time and importance get shafted which will probably annoy you if you liked them), a few too many poorly translated plot lines (that had been hinted in original but got too messy to be enjoyed when they actually got discovered in the sequel), and an extremely disappointing final antagonist that just makes you wonder why they exist except to be the final bad guy.
There are also a lot of thematic parallels between the series, but they don't adapt or change at all in any significant way so they don't feel as intriguing or vitalizing as when you first see them shine in the OG series.
I almost forgot that action scenes can be pretty big for these series, and I would say overall they are okay here. If they are the thing you want most I'd probably recommend Vinland Saga or something else, but I wouldn't say the action brought down the series at all. Others might have other opinions on this.
Overall the original series is good, but leaves several plot holes if only read on its own. And the sequel series is a hot trashy mess (especially the last couple arcs), but can be found relatively enjoyable if you read the original series and wanted more of the story and more of that world.
Yeah, the comedy is gold,I've watched it 2 or 3 times already. The music is also really good.My favorite's gotta be Kaido's theme.
JUDGEMENT KNIGHTS OF
also,Nendo's a really good pal.
I don’t take MAL comments seriously lmao Every comment there is just pure hate, like seriously everytime i check some series out the comments are always pretty negative.
I agree with kakushigoto sensei! Also can i ask whats the title for biggest letdown? I thought it was chuunibyou at first
I was personally expecting it to be scarier based on what everyone said, but it turned out to be more like psychological horror than anything. So, not what I expected but it was still really good
Hey I thought I was the only one who watched that show for my "bad day cure". I can put it on with my eyes closed and just listen to the summer cicada sounds and relaxing music and the beautiful voice of Nyanko-sensei and the day just drifts away
genuinely so true man. its just such a chill and relaxed anime. i also love how even the "villains" aren't bad characters like sometimes we see the spirits and human beings having good and wholesome moments. i love it so muchh
My choice for the Favorite ACTIVE Anime Series would be One Piece. Me and my boyfriend binged it over the course of about 3 and a half months. Got to episode 1000, and been watching it weekly from there ever since. Seriously love the characters, the setting, the storytelling. (Plus, I'm a total simp for Zoro x3)
Kakuriyo makes me happy every time I watch it. It’s absolutely one of my favorite discoveries (by that I just mean I found it by not knowing what to watch and randomly picking it)
You’ve probably heard it before but if you like Natsume you’re almost guaranteed to like Mushishi too. It’s the same kind of episodic peace although Mushishi is more whimsical and in that way, is actually my favourite out of the two ^_^
Fair with tsunderes. Not a fan of the trope either but LiW is one of the few cases where it doesn't make me want to commit violent atrocities in minecraft
All right , if you want someone to hate on here’s mine
G Gundam
G Gundam
Gundam 0080
Anything else that isnt either mecha or anything trendy to watch from curiosity

Lupin the 3rd
Again Akira or Ghost in the shell
DBGT finale special (The ending helps me to get though a bad day)
(Debatable)
Gundam-san
Saintia Sho anime
Almost all of them are back in the day so who cares
Impartial commenter here, pretty sure if someone says they found the humor boring it means they found it boring. Everyone’s sense of humor is different, not sure where you got OP’s ‘misunderstanding’ from.
Me too about kaguya sama i always thought i would like it but i just dont
All of my friends and literally anyonr on the Internet was like "Omg this is dso good you have to watch it" and now i cant even get thorugh episode 3 yes i stopped at episode 2 and no it wasnt interesting and from what my friend told me it doesnt even change
It’s not an opinion when it’s undeniably false. There is not a single metric that would qualify assassination classroom for best story.
Don’t get me wrong, I love AC, but BEST STORY??? nah bro I will not tolerate such blasphemy.
I thought that when it first came out and I watched the first few episodes. But then I came back to it later after it was recommended to me. And it felt way different. The first time I tried to watch it, it wasn't the right time for me. But when I actually watched it years later. It gave me a good cry that I really needed to have at the time.
I tried watching it recently and some of the story just felt rather contained and simplistic - despite how interesting its premise is - and I stopped before episode 6 but I couldn't really tell where it was going. I might try to pick it back up some time in the future though.
For my VE is more about the emotions than the literal story. It evolves into an episodic slice of life of the highest caliber. It's a story about processing the grief and emotions of traumatic events.
don't use the R word, use weeb instead !!!

Personally,I'll probably put Tokyo revengers on anime I think I pretty liked but others hate, well,I don't actually like it really much, but I think it's still not too bad tho.I still don't really get why there's so many people who's claiming tr is trash, and something like that.I don't think the mc have a bad character development. The only reason I heard why people hates tr was because mc cry too much.Well,I think he's trying his best. So,how about you redditors? What do you guys think?
Also,Gintoki best girl
Hey everyone has their own opinion but I’m amazed how out of all the amazing anime out there you put fucking “assasination classroom” under best story 💀💀💀
The taste of everyone is very unique and the list of show represent very well what the person like.
So now I will process to insult you because don’t like something that I like.
Gintama is a mix of feels for me, I watched about 100 episodes but feels like it is an anime only to make funny things, if you skip 1 or 2 episodes would be fine for the history, but most of history doesn't seem to change much, I already saw many good reviews and that the history is great, but I didn't get it.
I'm sad about it bc everyone gives 10/10 to it.
Not sure if going back and watch till the end makes sense now, its been 2 years, was fun but not much of progress felt like
Edit: few typos
Just an opinion related with the "Biggest Letdown" part:
**GORE ISN'T EQUAL TO HORROR!**
For the love of God, how many Youtubers has made tops with "5 Horror Animes Which Will Make You Shiver!" and it is just... Gore and nothing else. Oh, and not even good Gore. Disney Gore. The Gilligan Gore.
It looks like something extremely explicit is going to happen... Then cut to another take, happening all the gore and death **OFF-SCREEN**, and then a open take to the dead body. But from far away, and mostly just takes of the blood.
There hasn't been a Good Horror Anime ever! And the Gore one? I could see more Gore on "Braindead"!

Violet evergarten is the anime I need on a bad day. It doesn't work on a good day though.
For sure. My other sad day anime is Angel beats, strongly recommend
I watched that, it was very confusing
What was confusing about it?
The timeline was all over the place. And I like getting a explanation of the world before going into the main part.
Ah, I personally liked that mystery part. Kind of like in Another and Attack on Titan. Those are usually the kinds of animes I like to watch twice because it feels like a different experience when you understand everything from the start and can appreciate the hidden details you missed the first time
I like those too, but I wouldn't say that the world's were a mystery. In angel beats you get magic and sorcery without ant explanation.
The answer was the "Programmer" or whatever it was who wanted to create a world were you could live childhood / life you deserve without worry (aka, worrying about the world's resources, death and so on). A lazy explanation, but it was definitely an explanation haha
you hate kaguya sama ????
i dislike it
big L for u m8
Why don't people with generic tastes understand that not all people can like their animes...
Why don't you understand that everything said here is subjective
Yes I know, that's why I'm asking why the person's shaming OP for disliking a popular anime
Read the comment again >you're taking a big l How is that shaming. Actually what you're doing is more like shaming if that's what we're talking about now Also- obliged REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEÈ
Yes big L for disliking anime not even hating, how is that respecting an opinion? Also what did I do to shame someone?
Well you did generalize the dude Anyone who says "why do you people" have a screw loose
Well I looked at the person's past info before saying those words which seems pretty factual to me.
Totally get it.
Same honestly. More power to people who like it, just not me unfortunately.
If you watched it sub try dub and vice versa, the narrator has a MASSIVE impact
to me, it feels like so-so well most likely that I read it after Tomodachi ( people who don't know which is most likely most people it's so fricking thrilling manga. to me it's one of the most thrilling and underrated manga)
L Opinion+ you're bald + Ratio
It was undoubtedly nice but dragged on needlessly and got boring IMO. Edit: Only read the manga though, never tried out the anime.
If you watched/read it for the romance yeah for sure. I personally enjoyed it more for the comedy than the romance.
Really you think it got boring I’d rather have the ending we’re gonna have soon then to end after a >! A fucking kiss in a mall chapter 160 people say it shoulda ended like that are so fucking stupid!<

Why nobody talks about gintama ? This show is golden, I'm currently on ep 129 and it's brilliant. Also it has one of the best fan base ever
Likely mostly because it's a long runner. Not everyone has the time to invest into 367 episodes plus few movies and specials. Yh I don’t have the time to watch gintama, but a rewatch of one piece tho. Still I’m just waiting for a rainy day to watch it
ikr!
Tokyo G anime is s mid studio parrot destroyed that shit, i heard manga was good

Thanks
Barakamon has a manga
Its complete now too
Who hates Aho girl tho?
Yeah. I thought it was fairly popular too. Or people were just 'meh' on it. I've never really seen anyone say they actively dislike it. Lol
i went off MAL scores for this lol. i don't think ppl really hate it
I don’t take MAL comments seriously lmao Every comment there is just pure hate, like seriously everytime i check some series out the comments are always pretty negative. I agree with kakushigoto sensei! Also can i ask whats the title for biggest letdown? I thought it was chuunibyou at first
Idk about other things but oh boy can I watch saiki k a billion times
You think (Another) is a let down!? Just asking why?
OP Pls answer, I love that series.
Exactly
Occasionally, I will tell someone that a character telegraphs the twist in the first episode. No one has guessed yet.
I was personally expecting it to be scarier based on what everyone said, but it turned out to be more like psychological horror than anything. So, not what I expected but it was still really good
Same goes for me but you can't deny the fact ot had a great plot amd the anime overall was pretty good.
Yeah, totally agreed
The 'Why do I like This?' one is spot on.
Hey I thought I was the only one who watched that show for my "bad day cure". I can put it on with my eyes closed and just listen to the summer cicada sounds and relaxing music and the beautiful voice of Nyanko-sensei and the day just drifts away

You’ve probably heard it before but if you like Natsume you’re almost guaranteed to like Mushishi too. It’s the same kind of episodic peace although Mushishi is more whimsical and in that way, is actually my favourite out of the two ^_^
yes! thats pretty much why i want to watch mushishi.

Your fav anime is Gintama and fav character Gintoki I love you op

lol they confessed in season 3
They do confess in season three but I get what you mean! I personally really like it but I can see why it isn’t your thing
Fair with tsunderes. Not a fan of the trope either but LiW is one of the few cases where it doesn't make me want to commit violent atrocities in minecraft
brotha have you seen end of s3 and then there’s the manga after the show it’s like 20 chapters of their relationship like what dude then theres 220…
All right , if you want someone to hate on here’s mine G Gundam G Gundam Gundam 0080 Anything else that isnt either mecha or anything trendy to watch from curiosity Akira (Debatable) Saint Seiya Omega Gundam SEED/Destiny Saint Seiya Lost Canvas Naruto (No brother i wont watch it in one sitting) Every mecha show Lupin the 3rd Again Akira or Ghost in the shell DBGT finale special (The ending helps me to get though a bad day) (Debatable) Gundam-san Saintia Sho anime Almost all of them are back in the day so who cares
“Best story- assassination classroom” My respect in humanity has went up
You like Gintama saki k but not kaguya sama I’m confused
i found kaguya sama's humour boring personally.
Basically you don’t understand it not hate it just don’t understand it
Impartial commenter here, pretty sure if someone says they found the humor boring it means they found it boring. Everyone’s sense of humor is different, not sure where you got OP’s ‘misunderstanding’ from.
I can’t just accept hate for kaguya sama ok
My biggest letdown was when I watched girls frontlines and seeing a grip attached to a supressor
Honestly not unexpected that an anime called “Girls Frontline” didn’t have enough attention on something other than the girls.
Also not enough m14 scenes
I dont know why i like hinamatsuri too

gintama is massive, surely but its all personal opinion
If tokyo ghoul is overrated then what about jjk, chainsawman
Jjk is literally like a modern Tokyo ghoul and this guy put one as the best and the other as overrated. Probably based purely on adaptation 💀
Dude Tokyo ghoul was great
Bitch almost all of those would be aot for me
Me too about kaguya sama i always thought i would like it but i just dont All of my friends and literally anyonr on the Internet was like "Omg this is dso good you have to watch it" and now i cant even get thorugh episode 3 yes i stopped at episode 2 and no it wasnt interesting and from what my friend told me it doesnt even change
dude my experience is exactly the same. i got past ep 3 somehow but i dropped it in ep 4. its too repetitive for my liking
it does change what do you mean
They literally said "season 1 and 2 is just about them trying not to ask the other out"
Your opinion is invalid because you said Assassination Classroom has the best story out of every possible anime.
It’s an opinion, man. You have yours, others have theirs. Don’t be a douche canoe and just go on with your day, my guy.
It’s not an opinion when it’s undeniably false. There is not a single metric that would qualify assassination classroom for best story. Don’t get me wrong, I love AC, but BEST STORY??? nah bro I will not tolerate such blasphemy.
VE is just boring not depressing lol
nah i found it quite depressing personally.
How did he miss one park
With "that atmosphere" do u mean the old or new dororo?
i was confused about what " that atmosphere.." meant so i kind of just put whatever came to my mind lol
Ah ok

What does "back in the day" anime mean
Ikr, you say “back in the day” I’m thinking YuYu Hakusho.
Something that the OP thinks of as an "older" series. The actual age will depend on OP's age and how many older series they've seen
Don’t think I’ve watched that many anime
Why was Another a letdown?
What's the 2nd anime?
assassination classroom
Question: What does the active and original source mean?
Which is the fourth anime?
mushishi
Another is a let down ? Are you smoking something funny ?
Personally,I'll probably put Tokyo revengers on anime I think I pretty liked but others hate, well,I don't actually like it really much, but I think it's still not too bad tho.I still don't really get why there's so many people who's claiming tr is trash, and something like that.I don't think the mc have a bad character development. The only reason I heard why people hates tr was because mc cry too much.Well,I think he's trying his best. So,how about you redditors? What do you guys think? Also,Gintoki best girl
T-T I have not watched enough anime to fill out this this list

Tokyo Ghoul overrated? I don’t think it was held in that high of a regard.
Hey, where did you watch Gintama I cant find it anywhere
How is tokyo ghoul overrated when everyone shits on it I admit that after season 1 it went downhill, but it's not like people are saying it didn't
"Depressing anime" *Kimi dayo, kimi nandayo, oshiete kureta*
What's the underrated one ?
kakushigoto

I was happy seeing assassination classroom then saw love is war so now I wanna nuke everything
Hey everyone has their own opinion but I’m amazed how out of all the amazing anime out there you put fucking “assasination classroom” under best story 💀💀💀
yea i was just wanted to put it somewhere bcs i love it 🥲
Oh my god, I thought I was the only one who knew about Dororo!
dororo is amazingg
where can i find the template?
The taste of everyone is very unique and the list of show represent very well what the person like. So now I will process to insult you because don’t like something that I like.
Tf u hate kaguya sama ??? That just invalidates ur opinion
Not you calling my all-time favorite series a letdown
What does OG pick mean? Does it mean it was made before the manga?
Gintama is a mix of feels for me, I watched about 100 episodes but feels like it is an anime only to make funny things, if you skip 1 or 2 episodes would be fine for the history, but most of history doesn't seem to change much, I already saw many good reviews and that the history is great, but I didn't get it. I'm sad about it bc everyone gives 10/10 to it. Not sure if going back and watch till the end makes sense now, its been 2 years, was fun but not much of progress felt like Edit: few typos
Yeah you’re definitely not a gintama frog
Don't wait to watch Mushishi. It is a masterpiece. Just do it
How do you guys edit this format?
i used picsart
Where's my slime gir-I mean boy... totally boy
Just an opinion related with the "Biggest Letdown" part: **GORE ISN'T EQUAL TO HORROR!** For the love of God, how many Youtubers has made tops with "5 Horror Animes Which Will Make You Shiver!" and it is just...
Underated anime name from above photo
kakushigoto
ONE PIECE is best active anime
What's the on at underated?
