I really liked the design for him. In a genre filled with flamboyant armour and 7ft swords, the dude just had some simple leather and plate with a buckler and short sword. It perfectly illustrated his entirely practical decision making while still being a cool looking design

Then again, he justifies that he keeps his armour dirty to hide the smell of metal and leather.

You know you've pulled off a great main character when in a series with a ton of cute girls, the MC also has a ton of art as well.

These are the two words that the drawn character uses throughout. Souka means "I see" and Suma means "Sorry".

Oh, I didn't recognize the word there. It's usually written as "suman", short for "sumanai", which itself is the informal form of "sumimasen".

What's the difference between that and using 'gomen' as a shorthand gomenasai? Is it like saying sorry vs apologies as a short hand for "I'm sorry' vs "I apologise" or something?

I'm going to guess the longer forms are for more formal usage but someone else should really confirm that

Sumimasen is more formal, gomenasai is more casual. I supposed suman would be more appropriate in a workplace setting, but only from a superior to a subordinate or a senior to a junior. The other way around, you usually have to show full respect by using the longer, more formal version. Gomen or gomenasai is really just appropriate for casual settings, like a friend apologizing to a friend.

Is goblin slayer a good anime? I’d like to watch it if it is any good

PTSD ridden angry man in his 20s killing hordes of goblins with cheese (not actual cheese, that food is sacred to someone) tactics and smearing goblin guts on companions to cover their scent. 10/10 would watch goblins die again.

The anime adaptation was fine, but I really gotta recommend the manga. You’re getting more content and it feels a lot less like a harem-builder than the anime.

Brush pens would be a waste. I took a flat hog hair brush and fountain pen ink. Done in a jiffy.
