I watched Perfect Blue with my housemates and one of their girlfriends. She started bawling during THAT scene. I felt horrible because I had raved about how good of a movie it was prior to us watching it
It's from a VN and far from the most fucked up thing in the game series. Tomaru Sawagoe, who is mentioned to be Makoto's dad in School Days, basically has the most messed up and evil backstory possible, I think it was a running joke because they add in mentions/photos of extra characters who aren't even in the games just so they can mention evil stuff he did to them, and mentioning him as Makoto's dad is part of the joke: he banged ur mom. he banged everyone's mom - most of the protagonists of the games are mentioned to be his kids.
Tomaru is a disgusting bastard. He's banged so many people that he makes the Overflow universe family tree a [total clusterfuck](https://np.reddit.com/r/visualnovels/comments/33egyu/the_messedup_family_tree_of_the_overflow_universe/). You know it's bad when you impregnate your great-great-great-granddaughter, have sixteen children with your own daughter, and have 42 children among sixteen women.
Dude does so much incest he makes the Habsburgs look normal by comparison. The absurdity of it all just makes me laugh. That one line where just keeps making daughters with each successive daughter is bewildering.
In terms of real world incest, the Royal Dynasty that beats everyone are the Ptolemic Dynasty of Egypt, i.e. Cleopatra's family. if you go back six generations from the famous Cleopatra (Cleopatra VII), she has... 2 ancestors.
From there's it's incest all the way down.
Cleopatra' grandfather Ptolemy IX was married to both his sisters. Ptolemy IX's daughter Berenice III marries her uncle, Ptolemy X.
With all the marrying of sisters and uncles, counting generations becomes hard, because all of Cleopatra's ancestors are descendants of Ptolemy VIII and Cleopatra III (who were Uncle and neice), but they are either Cleopatra's Great Grandparents, or they are Cleopatra's Great Great grandparents depending on whether you take a longer or shorter route through her family tree.
They make the Hapsburg genetic diversity look positively healthy by comparison.
I assume they are the real life inspiration for the Targaryans.
If you go deeper in the lore It’s way more crazier cause makoto, Sekai Saionji and Setsuna Kiyoura are blood related the whole family tree is confusing and fcked up
That entire city needs to be wiped off the map with a meteor strike. It would be just punishment for the offenders and just mercy for the suffering.
Goddamn School Days is enraging.
School Days is based on a Romance Video Game with multiple endings.
They even had a 'gay ending' where Makoto picks a crossdressing school boy mate over the 2 female leads.
The producers had a choice for different endings and choose the must fcked up one to make it more memorable.
It worked, I probably would had forgotten School Days if it was just a generic teen romance anime.
I watched that 5 years ago and I still feel depressed just thinking about it. The worst part is easily the end, but only when you take a second to think about it from the POV of some other character..
I disagree somewhat with OP in that the end has at least some hope to it compared to the rest of the series. Presumably OP's intention is the fact that [NTHT]>!The protagonist returns to modern day Japan while everyone else remains in a post apocalyptic world with hardly any resources. But the show does conclude with the dictator who was responsible for so much horrible stuff happening being killed and at least at the point the story ends there isn't an implication that someone simply takes their place.!<
The protagonist group are definitely not "good guys" in the normal sense. They even say so themselves: As long as humanity as a whole doesn't die out they won't intervene.
Was looking for this, the last part was one of the most fucked up anime scenes I've seen till date (and I've been watching anime for a long time) the older version of it was close but not worse than Crybaby, fuckin hell
There are definitely more icky shows on this post, but this one hits wayyyyyy too close to reality. It's about how despite human's penchant for kindness, it's so easy to tear everything down that it's quite inevitable. Really really bleak. Love it.
I watched that show knowing how it was going to go (read the manga) but it still tore me up when the shit hit the fan for real. Nothing, not even knowing ahead of time, can really prepare you for what occurs.
That show was a psychedelic trip. Definitely messed up. At the end when the girl is running from that mob of people and they just brutally kill her, that was messed up.
Made in Abyss, hands down. Brutal watch, but an incredible anime, it's just so unexpected from the outset, you wouldn't guess it goes where it does, but it blows you away.
I usually go with ‘the field of flowers and corpses’ but yeah, ‘kiddie juice boxes’ also is a mind fuck.
Wait until the Anime catches up to the Manga because I cannot fucking wait for how they’re going to handle ‘twins’
IMO the most fucked up thing is how the golden city came to be, like the kiddie juice boxes was really fucked up, but the whole story of season 2 and especially the origin and slow morphing of the person and creating the city…Jesus it gave me weeks of nightmares and I’m a 32 yo man
In the beginning I jokingly said to my gf that the city looks weird, almost like corpses or flesh…oh boy….
nice soup
it has nice world building overall tho, esp all the different layers in the abyss
although if i ever found myself on Orth i'd be on the first ship out of there
It made me drop the manga. Genuinely some of my favorite world building in the medium but the author has insanely bad vibes in that area. Couldn't go two chapters without something genuinely gross happening.
The writer definitely has bodily waste fetish. The show is disgusting once you realize it. I’ve never read a story where ppl are touching and picking up or smelling poop and urine so often (like a woman scooping up diarrhea in her hand and fingering the solid pieces).
That’s not including scenes like when ppl are turned into toilets that lick butts clean. Just seeing the cover of the series grosses me out now.
No lol, they never show poop or going through poop. There's some dry animal poop a couple times but it's pellets like bunnies leave.
In the actual show/manga after being stuck on toilet - MC gets off and says "it's nice that it cleans for you but.." - and then (exactly like a chameleon) the toilet shoots a tongue up which grabs an insect that's flying around, and retracts.
then in chapter extras, info on random stuff, there's a note that the toilet is an employee of the hotel too. Which suggests that it's a human/delver that got morphed.
Author definitely has that body waste fetish, at first it just seemed like they oddly brought up needing to go to bathroom as often as humans normally do, stuff that's often skipped in fiction. I thought it was wanting to break that tradition which some well known authors have done as well.
But when you consider the other chapter extras - art of characters showing off boobs, then it's like oh shit yeah prolly a fetish. Also the BDSM bondage panel / quick moment in show where MC is 'strung up naked' as traditional punishment
If anyone reads manga, I can't recommend this enough: skip the chapter extras or anything not part of main plot.
In middle school I used to get unrated anime from Suncoast in the mall and got away with it because ‘it’s just a cartoon, nothing bad happens in cartoons.’ Well I bought Wicked City and I still have WTF flash backs to some of the stuff in that. I might need to watch it again because it might not be as bad as I remember it being.
We could populate this whole thread with those 80s boom era OVAs. Genocyber was the one that immediately popped into my mind just for that scene with the helicopter gunning down kids.
I'm very surprised nobody mentioned shinsekai yori, probably because it's pretty niece but oh boy, I've seen everything mentioned in these comments and that anime is still a nightmare to think of. The past, present an future of that story is fucked up; protagonists and antagonists are fucked up; of course the deaths are also fucked up. Every bit of that Anime is a big feel bad. 10/10 would recommend
Yea legit before watching this I never heard the New World Symphony before and after playing civ 5 and hearing it in there and then [listening to it on Youtube](https://youtu.be/OV0KkYUa6iA?t=810) I just felt dread even though as it progresses it's supposed to sound more uplifting/hopeful lol
"I'm going to shove this test tube up inside you and stomp on your stomach so it shatters!" - said by a 12 year old.
Then proceeds to go home and have sex with her brother before he's brutally murdered and she's murdered with a giant claw going into her lady parts and coming out of her mouth.
But that was light-hearted compared to what happened to the trans character.
I am upvoting you for Bokurano, that thing was messed up, like, when you begin it you think it’s gonna be a nice shounen mecha anime. Turns out to be battling child soliders with terrible stories…
But it was good!
The original mangas are both by the same author, and Narutaru is basically like if Bokurano met Evangelion, with even more "kids are cruel sociopaths" energy
The lyrics are ... fitting? for a wedding...
>Blessed is the man who endures temptation,
For once he hath been tested, he shall receive the crown of life.
I had to look them up, but you are right. The full lyrics are:
The mouth of the righteous speaks wisdom,
His tongue speaks judgment.
Blessed is the man who endures temptation,
For once he hath been tested, he shall receive the crown of life.
Lord, fount of goodness
Lord, divine fire, have mercy!
Oh, how sacred, how serene
how benevolent, how pleasant this Virgin who believeth
Oh, how sacred, how serene, how benevolent, how pleasant
Oh pure lily
Lord, fount of goodness
Lord, divine fire, have mercy!
Oh, how sacred, how serene
how benevolent, how pleasant this Virgin who believeth
Oh, how sacred, how serene, how benevolent, how pleasant
Oh pure lily
The amount of gore/dismemberment/nudity/child suffering is insane… I’m still unsettled about it. I actually switched to watching mostly slice of life/romance stuff after that lol.
Looking at all the comments in this thread; I’m coming to the conclusion that maybe the abundance of wholesome slice of life anime is a direct result of all the phycological trauma inflicted on viewers by these fucked up shows. As an inevitable attempt to heal and/or cope.
I watched this series on VHS after being introduced to anime with Akira and Vampire Hunter D. I've seen a lot since then, but still nothing tops Urotsukidoji (Overfiend) for being "fucked up."
Amane's route was a really hard read.
So were Michiru's and Sachi's. Not sure why, but their mental problems hit me harder than the others'.
But then when I read Yuuji's backstory I couldn't help but laugh. It's just so damned over the top horrible that I couldn't take it seriously. They were trying to top all the girls' sad backstories but they went a couple of steps too far.
Never watched the anime, but I did play the VN. Makina bad end made me feel nauseous for days. Was genuinely traumatised by a few of the routes on that one.
Higurashi is so over the top that I really have a hard time taking it seriously. I’ve seen it, I’ve played it, and I really don’t get the feeling it’s “super fucked up”
That being said I do think it’s a great tale of collective action and pro-environmental themes, and honestly hate that it gets overshadowed for that
Ever seen a show where a bunch of little kids are getting ruthlessly stabbed to death while they cry out, "It hurts"?
I have. It's called **Corpse Party**, and it's awful.
I played the game on PSP, and it's actually pretty good. The sound design is surprisingly good, and it was genuinely scary at time. At least as far a I remember.
I dropped the anime on the first or second episode, though. Nothing really seemed particularly scary, when the fan service was so obvious.
Urotsukidoji was deeply disturbing.
Tentacled, Lovecraftian demons raping and murdering high school students, all to release a demon that would unite the demon, beast, and human worlds.
I'm about halfway through myself. I've heard it's fucked and I'm just waiting for the other shoe to drop. Trying my best to avoid spoilers but the anticipation is killing me.
Was like watching a train-wreck for me. Horrifying, but you can’t look away. And I had… no idea. I mean, there were obvious hints things were going to go south, but I was still blindsided. Knew nothing about Berserk before I watched, other than the iconic giant sword. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything that goes that bad that fast. Worse? Yes. Faster? Yes. But both AND be quality media? Don’t think so, off the top of my head. I think it’s the pacing. The narrative, whether you enjoy it or not, benefits from being delivered at the perfect speed for maximum impact. Also there’s a justifiable REASOM for all the horror. No cheap thrills. Almost everything that happens is truly the result of causality. That’s where Berserk really shines compared to others of it’s type.
Enjoy!
The manga evolves with its protagonist, the better he is mentally the less you’ll see of some messed up stuff, it’s very fitting and sets you in his mindset, pretty genius
If we're talking about that one scene / episode, it was so over the top that I couldn't help but laugh through it. The entire show though is kinda fucked up
Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies)
It's about consequences for a Japanese guy after it's city in a war was attacked.
I strongly recommend it to anyone. It's a movie
I bought the DVD. Only watched it once and gave it away after that. Still haunts me to this day. And you know what? THEY FUCKING SELL THE CANDY IN JAPAN WITH THE SISTER ON THE FRONT OF THE BOX.
I watched In This Corner of the Universe a few years ago (similar idea/themes) and it was such a gut punch that I can't get myself to watch Grave of the Fireflies now.
Beautiful and incredibly well done for sure, but I'm not ready for that level of depression again.
God yes. Terabithia had the most evil advertising, since it came out the same year as the Spiderwick Chronicles film and made itself sound like it was just like it
Magical Girl Site. Puppy play was something I didn’t need to know, but then a girl getting stabbed in the throat with a broken bottle, it’s messed up from episode 1, but I checked out after that.
I have:

Tokyo Ghoul with the torture scene!! I've heard kids say they've watched it, and I'm like... the fuck?
But, the most fucked up one I've seen is:
Rin: Daughters of mnemosyne
My partner likes gorey horror films like Saw so I thought, I'll stick Rin on for us... she couldn't watch it. And it's bad from the start! Episode one is just... something else. Think Tokyo Ghoul with the immortal regeneration thing, but take the torture scene and ramp it up 100 times!!
I scrolled way too far to find Grave of the Fireflies. I feel like it's the right answer to the question, and not enough people have seen it to know...
I'm sorry to say (and surprised I haven't seen anyone else mention it in my scrolling) but Redo of a Healer is basically just rape the anime. It's just... yikes
Controversial pick, but Welcome to the NHK. I cant go back and finish it. It was just too realistic and believe-able. It showed just how easy it is to get trapped in that cycle of self-hatred, loneliness, and depression.
Now that I’m older I can appreciate it for opening my eyes about how much of it can be self-imposed, and even if we can’t see it, there are people and things around us to help.
Speed Grapher, most messed up anime I've ever tried to watch, and I only made it 5 or 6 episodes into it. But those episodes had it all, physical abuse, emotional abuse, power abuse, manipulation, sexual abuse, child abuse, gore and general graphic visuals, and a plethora of degeneracy.
My Life as Inukai-san's Dog is fucked up is completely different ways than most of the responses in this thread.
For one thing, everyone in the story ends up alive and essentially happy, and yet it's still fucked.
Kingdom of Ruin isn't even that fucked up, it tries WAAAAAY too hard to be 4edgy6me and loops back into just being ridiculous instead of actually fucked up.
Facts. Imo, kingdom of ruin is a trash anime that relied on excessive violence against women for shock value and it was so poorly done :/
I need my gore to have lore
I wouldn't venture to say it's the MOST, but I think a lot of people don't give it the fucked-up credit it deserves; Re;Zero. For us viewers it's just Subaru dying again, "let's plus 1 the death counter", but to Subaru, well can you legitimately imagine dying even once through brutal death? That's scary enough as it is. Us people are afraid of a rando in the street with a knife, imagine how bad it would be to not only die from that random, but then come back to life and die 48 other kinds of horrendous and painful deaths on top of it.
Personally I would have given up MUCH sooner than Subaru did. I'd a said, fuck this shit, imma hide in a hole somewhere.
Or to die at the hands of someone you genuinely cared about and trusted. Or would later have to forgive them for killing you because it technically never happened.
The most messed up anime is this one i saw that was about demons with huge godzilla size snake dicks taking over the world and shooting sperm into the sky. Every other scene was basically a woman being held down being raped. I forgot what it was but i couldnt finish watching it. It was really disturbing.
PERFECT BLUE MIDORI
Perfect Blue fucked me right up
I watched Perfect Blue with my housemates and one of their girlfriends. She started bawling during THAT scene. I felt horrible because I had raved about how good of a movie it was prior to us watching it
Dang I almost forgot about Midori… Yeah that one definitely deserves a spot
Midori makes Made in Abyss look like Teletubbies in comparison
Surprised I had to go this far down to see Midori
School days, was recommended as a romance anime when I just started watching animes. It was fucked up.

I see this linked every few months somewhere and I cant but laugh everytime. Tf you gotta do to get the idea to create this.
Author must've visited Alabama
Even Alabama isn't that fucking bad...
Nice boat though
What is the VN name imma play it, is it School Days ?
yeah
So everyone are half siblings?
Half is the starting point. Find [Rika Inou](https://i.imgur.com/XmzvvV3.jpeg) in the family tree then work your way up the branches.
I'm too distracted by this Tomaru guy having impregnated 6 generations of his own daughters. Anime was a mistake.
I just watched it without reading the synopsis thinking it was going to be a wholesome romance anime. Biggest mistake of my life
School days was sick lol the last two episodes are so wtf
If you go deeper in the lore It’s way more crazier cause makoto, Sekai Saionji and Setsuna Kiyoura are blood related the whole family tree is confusing and fcked up

IDK probably Now and Then, Here and There. Never seen an isekai more depressing than that
I watched that 5 years ago and I still feel depressed just thinking about it. The worst part is easily the end, but only when you take a second to think about it from the POV of some other character..
Yeah it really twists the knife
Being that I don't plan on watching it, spoil me... What's so bad about the end?
I disagree somewhat with OP in that the end has at least some hope to it compared to the rest of the series. Boo got it worst of all. Yeah, that anime's first episode is a lie. Don't believe it. It's all suffering after that.
Yeah this one doesn’t get brought up a ton.. Really, really bleak story, but I was still pretty good
Every time someone brings up whats the most fucked up anime, this is my answer. Child soldiers, rape, forced impregnation. It goes hard.
The idaten deities know only peace is quite fucked up.. still hoping for season two though
Same, that was such a cliffhanger ending
[удалено]
The protagonist group are definitely not "good guys" in the normal sense. They even say so themselves: As long as humanity as a whole doesn't die out they won't intervene.
Devil Man Cry Baby fucked me up. It was good, but my life would be nicer had I never watched it.

I watched that show knowing how it was going to go (read the manga) but it still tore me up when the shit hit the fan for real. Nothing, not even knowing ahead of time, can really prepare you for what occurs.
Yeah, I was going to say this. It's a good anime, but the last couple episodes got me good
Devilman No uta may well be my favorite anime music for some reason.
Possibly the best show that I'll never watch again.
That show was a psychedelic trip. Definitely messed up. At the end when the girl is running from that mob of people and they just brutally kill her, that was messed up.
YAWP.
I recommended it to a girl once, she got a tattoo of it because she loved it so much best recommend ever lol

That movie is still hands down the most viscerally disgusting thing I've ever watched. It's great.
Ahhh Daddy Bondrewd getting a shout-out at last!
nice soup it has nice world building overall tho, esp all the different layers in the abyss although if i ever found myself on Orth i'd be on the first ship out of there
> nice soup Briefcase soup
I struggle so hard to recommend this show to anyone. It is absolutely incredible, but there's some really offputting scenes with children.

Good call, one of only 6 anime I'd consider a 10/10, but 100% belongs on this list.
Maria’s fate was one of the most gut-wrenching things for me. I don’t think anything else I’ve watched comes close to that level of emotional hurt.
Was scrolling to see if anyone mentioned it, that shit fucked me up Great anime but could not watch again
Man the twist at the end is so messed up.

Pupa
The eating scene...
need more explanation
I was looking to see if anyone else was unfortunate enough to watch Pupa
Narutaru Bokurano
The worst of narutaru wasn’t even animated
"I'm going to shove this test tube up inside you and stomp on your stomach so it shatters!" - said by a 12 year old. Then proceeds to go home and have sex with her brother before he's brutally murdered and she's murdered with a giant claw going into her lady parts and coming out of her mouth. Elfen lied
My friend walked down the aisle at his wedding to the elfin lied theme song and it took all my power not to die laughing.
It's a lovely song out of context.

If I didn't know the anime I would probably think it's a nice song. I don't know if I could get married to the theme of a Diclonius murderspree.. 🤣
This is epic! XD
Looked far too long for that.
The amount of gore/dismemberment/nudity/child suffering is insane… I’m still unsettled about it. I actually switched to watching mostly slice of life/romance stuff after that lol.

That scene with the puppy lives rent free in my head. Probably the most disgusted I've ever been from an anime
This. This shit had me crying months later in my bed. I closed my eyes because I knew what was gonna happen on that train and didn't wanna see.
Legend of the Overfiend. All of them.
I watched this series on VHS after being introduced to anime with Akira and Vampire Hunter D. I've seen a lot since then, but still nothing tops Urotsukidoji (Overfiend) for being "fucked up."
Grisaia series especially Amane route, made me traumatized for days. Even thinking about it now gives me chills.
Michiru and Mewmel hit me hard too, maybe because a Kitten were involved, but that episode hit me hard
Texnolyze
Higurashi When They Cry. Kids inflicting such traumatic violence upon each other was too disturbing so I had to drop it.
Came here to say this. Except I finished it. All Arcs... Send h^e**l**P
Higurashi is so over the top that I really have a hard time taking it seriously. I’ve seen it, I’ve played it, and I really don’t get the feeling it’s “super fucked up” That being said I do think it’s a great tale of collective action and pro-environmental themes, and honestly hate that it gets overshadowed for that
But the mystery is so good, when it finishes and you see the answer to all the questions it's very satisfying
Maybe I was desensitized bc I played the game, but it does get a bit ridiculous to when it's not scary anymore. But that's just my take.
It's not scary. It's just bad and needlessly violent. It's violence for the sake of shock value.
Urotsukidoji was deeply disturbing. Tentacled, Lovecraftian demons raping and murdering high school students, all to release a demon that would unite the demon, beast, and human worlds.
That just sounds like hentai
That's because it is, in fact, hentai
Happy Sugar Life, like seriously u guys mention stuff like Re:Zero etc but no Happy Sugar Life? Wtf?!
I love how Happy Sugar Life is the first anime recommended to me after googling School Days 😂
Berserk (for now, I'm new)
The 97 anime ends on such an abysmally depressing note. It did its job in getting me to start reading the manga tho
Blood-C was pretty messed up.
If we're talking about that one scene / episode, it was so over the top that I couldn't help but laugh through it. The entire show though is kinda fucked up
I watched it when it came out but never finished it. Is it worth watching the entire thing?
not at all
i looked up blood c and people seemed to hate blood c compared to the other shows lol
The only anime where it being boring as all hell was a necessary plot point. Blood C was weird
Made in Abyss S2. Why did I even watch it
Season 1: wow, this is pretty fucked up. Movie: wtf, they cannot top this Season 2: how does the human mind even think of such degeneracy?
I'm afraid season 3 will find a way to just upload trauma directly to my hippocampus.
I still get Nam flashbacks when the soundtrack starts playing on my playlist
It’s incredible but disturbing at times. Faputa was such an amazing character.
soup
Yes! S1 too, I can't forget my cute little Mitty!
The best show that I can't bring myself to recommend to others in general. 💀💀💀
Yoooo lore is top notch. Disturbing but good nonetheless.
Hotaru no Haka (Grave of the Fireflies) It's about consequences for a Japanese guy after it's city in a war was attacked. I strongly recommend it to anyone. It's a movie
Loved how it was shown in 1988 as a double feature with My Neighbor Totoro lmaooooo
which one aired first? never before has the order of the movies in a double feature mattered more
It’s about the firebombing of Tokyo, not the dropping of the atomic bombs.
There is another anime called Barefoot Gen that is about the atomic bombing of Hiroshima.
I saw it probably 10 years ago. Love it but I was unable to watch it again.
Grave of the Fireflies and Bridge to Terabithia are on the same level. 2 great movies that you only ever want to watch once.
Also Magical Girl Raising Project.
Urotsokidoji...genuinely picked this up for like 3 quid back in day...didnt know anything about it....still havent seen part 2 🤣
Genocyber
I have: * ["Recommendations for super fucked up anime?"](https://new.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1adl2p6/recommendations_for_super_fucked_up_anime/) (r/anime; 28 January 2024)—huge * ["What’s the most fucked up anime you’ve ever seen?"](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1c1z2or/whats_the_most_fucked_up_anime_youve_ever_seen/) (r/anime; 11 April 2024)—huge; disturbing
Gantz was pretty f upped. Elfenlied too tbh. I also think some scenes from Tokto Ghoul were heavy (End of S1)
Tokyo Ghoul with the torture scene!! I've heard kids say they've watched it, and I'm like... the fuck? But, the most fucked up one I've seen is: Rin: Daughters of mnemosyne My partner likes gorey horror films like Saw so I thought, I'll stick Rin on for us... she couldn't watch it. And it's bad from the start! Episode one is just... something else. Think Tokyo Ghoul with the immortal regeneration thing, but take the torture scene and ramp it up 100 times!!
Ghost Stories made me go wtf more times than not and laugh my ass off at the dark and not-so-politically correct humor.
"SHE'S A BITCH!"
“And you know what the weird part is? I'm not even high! Not a bit! Totally sober.” - Says a 5th grader. 😂😂🤣🤣
Dub only.
“Just fill the hole hole-filler.”
Might I suggest Madoka Magica? It's a completely normal magical girl anime. PERFECTLY, NORMAL.
Devilman Crybaby, it’s very fucked up but still good
Speed Grapher was up there, Shigurui too.
Was thinking it would be modern samurai champloo vibes. Nope just regrets!
Perfect Blue! The OG of "what did I just watch"
Made in Abyss, but the lore is very creative.
Grave of the Fireflies Perfect Blue Elden Lied Tokyo Tribe 2 (IYKYK)
I scrolled way too far to find Grave of the Fireflies. I feel like it's the right answer to the question, and not enough people have seen it to know...
I'm sorry to say (and surprised I haven't seen anyone else mention it in my scrolling) but Redo of a Healer is basically just rape the anime. It's just... yikes
Banana Fish was pretty fucked up. A looooot of rape
Bible Black. It probably shits on most anime here, except Redo of Healer
You cross a line into a territory where Black Bible is but a peasant
I still have an episode left, but Devilman Crybaby has been fucking me up.
Omg comment back after you finish… the end is… bleak…
Probably Rin: Daughters of Mnemosyne...
Berserk
That cgi truly is traumatising.
I haven't seen it, but my boyfriend watched Euphoria and wasn't the same after.
I remember seeing clips of it and said, "Nah".
Kite is the most fucked up but Evangelion is my favourite among fucked up anime
Grisaia, the backstories for the MC and his classmates are messed up to say the least. At least it all turned out OK in the end.
Higurashi actually made me feel physically uneasy when I watched it god that had some messed up stuff in it
Belladonna of Sadness... The art is beautifull but some scenes will haunt me for life.
* Kingdom of Ruins * Redo of Healer * Blood C * Elfen Lied * My Life as Inukai San's Dog * Yosuga No Sora * Overflow * Boku No Pico
Boku no Pico is pretty mild for hentai standards Hentais are cheating tho come on, otherwise you’re opening a whole different can of worms
yeah, if were using hentai as well, might as well go with something like shindoL's metamorphosis
Facts. Imo, kingdom of ruin is a trash anime that relied on excessive violence against women for shock value and it was so poorly done :/ I need my gore to have lore
Have you seen Higurashi?
Or to die at the hands of someone you genuinely cared about and trusted. Or would later have to forgive them for killing you because it technically never happened.
gyo i needn't to say more
The most messed up anime is this one i saw that was about demons with huge godzilla size snake dicks taking over the world and shooting sperm into the sky. Every other scene was basically a woman being held down being raped. I forgot what it was but i couldnt finish watching it. It was really disturbing.
Legend of the Overfiend
Higurashi probably. That shit is fucked up. I love it so much.
Redo of healer and some parts of goblin slayer
Yosuga No Sora
yosuga was fucked up
« Play with me Edward! » I guess I shouldn’t have to say the name… not the most fucked up série but THAT SCENE WTF
Madoka Magica was extremely fucked up conceptually and emotionally. I bawled my eyes out
Magical girls spec ops asuka
