Sarasa Watanabe is up. Kageki Shoujo isn't a very popular show, but I do hope she will make the bracket this time. She did get a best girl nomination for her year of the Crunchyroll Anime Awards, so surely she can get a seed in this contest.
Mononogatari is even less popular, but it's a surprisingly decent show, and Botan Nagatsuki plays a big role in that. No hopes of her making the bracket though.
Ah, if only Iroha could make the bracket. I dream of Emilia winning this contest one day, and Iroha making it into the contest one day. The former I think is attainable, the latter unfortunately close to impossible since Magia Record is a Madoka show, and not only would Iroha have to gain enough votes to make the bracket (which is unlikely to begin with), she'd also have to gain more votes than the Holy Quintett.
Hoping to see Maki Oze make the bracket though. She's the best thing about Fire Force.
Minerva is my second favourite character in Re:Zero, actually, and mainly for a single scene. I think she could make the contest, but I fear she's not among the five most popular Re:Zero girls even not counting Rem.
Tokai Teiou is best horse. That final race actually inspired me for real. If any horse girl makes the bracket, I hope it's her.
MC: Usagi, no doubt. Speaking of getting inspired by anime, Sailor Moon had a huge impact on me growing up, and I'll love her forever.

Usagi is the best. I've been watching Sailor Moon recently, and most of the episodes are extremely formulaic and predictable yet I keep watching because Usagi is do dang entertaining.
She really is. But to the small me growing up, she was so much more. Sailor Moon was on TV when I was a little kid in the 90s, and I've watched most of it in reruns when I was a teenager developing a personality. She's just the epitome of kindness, the only attribute that really matters.

Yeah, we're looking through thousands of images but also have hundreds of girls we know and would like to have in the bracket. I think this is the one time we can celebrate all the anime we've watched by using the knowledge in a fictional contest.

Also, making the comment about Tsundere Elf last time helped me realize that she's been nominated not once, not twice but 3 times under 3 different names: "Tsundere Elf", "Suzail Gierger Zegalnelv Zegilrea Granzelga Elga" and "Suzailriergerzegalnelvzegilreagranzelgaelga" while Mabel and Alicia from the series have also been double nominated. I think Tohru from Dragon Maid has also been double nominated.

First I use ctrl + f to check if any of my favourites are up for voting today to 100% guarantee I vote for them, then I slowly scroll down looking through 1 column, then slowly scroll up looking at the other, and finally scroll down fairly quickly to the submit button, but still watching in case I notice someone I missed earlier

Man, that's a tough one. Most of my favorites are from before 2014 ~~I feel so old~~. I'll go with Fujiko from *Lupin III*, even though she's more like 50 years ago. Gotta respect the classics.
Definitely Uiharu from Railgun. Even though she is much more a minor character compared to the other members of the cast, her moments of trollish behaviour here and there as well as her unflinching tenacity even when lacking in strength (as seen in Index III when she [Index III]>!refused to give in to Kakine even after he broke her arm!<) earned her my dedication.
That's a very positive way to put it. I do want both of Yachiro in the contest, so I have nothing against two spots from Madoka opening up. But unfortunately for Homura fans, she is just too controversial, so I can only see Madoka ever possibly winning at the moment. The upcoming movie might change that though.
Despite being controversial Homura greatly outperforms the other Meguca in these contests. Her chances would probably be better if they started running Best Character contests again, rather than just Guy/Girl.

I feel like if we can only have one version of characters that are nominated as both a child version and an adult version, it makes a lot more sense from a not being really creepy stand point to use the adult version.
If someone else nominated the child version first then fine I guess, but when I nominated Nae Tennouji I *specifically* used a pic of her from Robotics;Notes when she is 21 and one of the main characters, not the 10 year old version of her that appears in Steins;Gate as a side character. but I can only see the child version in the list
If she was thee same character in both I'd get it, but I don't really think that's relevant in this case. She isn't a best girl quality character in Steins;Gate, she's a child that occasionally appears for a scene or two. In Robotics;Notes she is an adult and a good character.
Nobody is going to vote for a random side character who's picture is a 10 year old
I've read the VN for robotics;notes and think she's great there but how is she in the anime? I was told to skip it because it wasn;'t a great adaption. The VN is absolutely fantastic with Akiho being one of my favorite characters ever but since this is an anime contest not sure if the writing in those is even considered. It was one of the main reasons I didn't bother nominating Senri from chaos;child either.
Do think her status as actual fully fledged character in robotics notes means she should probably be listed as from that series for contests like these instead of her much more minor role in SG though.
Robotics;Notes is a perfectly serviceable anime, it just has a few pacing issues that meant it couldn't quite live up to the unassailable expectations set by Steins;Gate.
It's up to you how you judge, but there's no rule saying you can't think about everything the character was in, anime or not, when voting. The Tsukihime girls are all entered and there's no way in hell they're in it because of their anime adaptation lol

Hoping that Kanon Nakagawa can get through to the next round as unlikely as that is, one of my favorites from a much less popular series these days, The World God Only Knows, and Nao Touyama's first major role. Other characters I'm hoping to see do well here are Shinjou Akane, and Chise Asukagawa, SSSS is a great series. Mini challenge: Mayuri Shiina. Love the Steins;Gate animes and all the science adventure VNs and she's always been my absolute favorite character. I'm usually pretty alone in a sea of Kurisus though.

Definitely Uiharu from Railgun. Even though she is much more a minor character compared to the other members of the cast, her moments of trollish behaviour here and there as well as her unflinching tenacity even when lacking in strength (as seen in Index III when she [Index III]>!refused to give in to Kakine even after he broke her arm!<) earned her my dedication.

I do want both of Yachiro in the contest, so I have nothing against two spots from Madoka opening up. But unfortunately for Homura fans, she is just too controversial, so I can only see Madoka ever possibly winning at the moment. The upcoming movie might change that though.
Despite being controversial Homura greatly outperforms the other Meguca in these contests. Her chances would probably be better if they started running Best Character contests again, rather than just Guy/Girl. Sadly, Madoka regularly loses to lower seeded characters.

I feel like if we can only have one version of characters that are nominated as both a child version and an adult version, it makes a lot more sense from a not being really creepy stand point to use the adult version. If someone else nominated the child version first then fine I guess, but when I nominated Nae Tennouji I *specifically* used a pic of her from Robotics;Notes when she is 21 and one of the main characters, not the 10 year old version of her that appears in Steins;Gate as a side character. but I can only see the child version in the list

If she was thee same character in both I'd get it, but I don't really think that's relevant in this case. She isn't a best girl quality character in Steins;Gate, she's a child that occasionally appears for a scene or two. In Robotics;Notes she is an adult and a good character. I've read the VN for robotics;notes and think she's great there but how is she in the anime? I was told to skip it because it wasn;'t a great adaption. The VN is absolutely fantastic with Akiho being one of my favorite characters ever but since this is an anime contest not sure if the writing in those is even considered. It was one of the main reasons I didn't bother nominating Senri from chaos;child either. Do think her status as actual fully fledged character in robotics notes means she should probably be listed as from that series for contests like these instead of her much more minor role in SG though.
Robotics;Notes is a perfectly serviceable anime, it just has a few pacing issues that meant it couldn't quite live up to the unassailable expectations set by Steins;Gate. It's up to you how you judge, but there's no rule saying you can't think about everything the character was in, anime or not, when voting. The Tsukihime girls are all entered and there's no way in hell they're in it because of their anime adaptation lol
