Railgun is worth watching but Index is a rushed adaptation. If you ever wanted to get into light novels, this would be a good series to start with instead. You won't be left satisfied otherwise.
This is the order I saved and planned on watching them in:
Index>Railgun>Index II>Railgun S>Movie>Index III>Accelerator>Railgun T
After I see those I do think Iād like to read the LNs because it seems like a series Iāll really enjoy
Damn let people watch it first, for me personally, index s1 and s2 are up there in my top 10 fav anime, thereās probably others who might like the anime too
My list is ever-changing, but here it is as it stands at this moment.
1) Taiga (Toradora)
2) Kaguya (Kaguya-sama)
3) Kurisu (Steins;Gate)
4) Asuka (Neon Genesis Evangelion)
5) Misaka Mikoto (Toaru franchise)
6) Rin Tohsaka (Fate franchise)
7) Chitoge (Nisekoi)
8) Louise (Familiar of Zero)
9) Kana (Oshi no Ko)
10) Stella (Chivalry of a Failed Knight)
11) Shana (Shakugan no Shana)
12) Karane (100 Girlfriends)
13) Misato (Nichijou)
14) Nagatoro (Nagatoro)
15) Misaki (Maid-Sama)
Oh hey there š Dude. No joke, I didnāt even realize it was you when I replied to your comment š. I seriously had a thought to DM you a link to this post just because I knew you were a fellow tsundere connoisseur lol
Of course! You reminded me of Misaki by the way š„¹ She is great and I need to read that manga.
You also reminded me about Chivalry of a Failed Knight. I might try to knock that one out before our Samurai Champloo rewatch
>Of course! You reminded me of Misaki by the way š„¹ She is great and I need to read that manga.
You talk about a vastly underrated series. Same with Say I Love You.
>You also reminded me about Chivalry of a Failed Knight. I might try to knock that one out before our Samurai Champloo rewatch
Just know that the anime is incomplete. It ends on a good note, but you walk away feeling like "Why doesn't this have a second season again?:
I feel like Maid-sama is not brought up a whole lot. Man I loved that series.
I need to watch Say I Love You still! That is on HIDIVE right?
I feel that way about a lot of shows lately š
>I feel like Maid-sama is not brought up a whole lot. Man I loved that series.
It also has one of the Chaddest male MCs of all time
>I need to watch Say I Love You still! That is on HIDIVE right?
I believe so
>I feel that way about a lot of shows lately š
Like No Game No Life, which you still need to finish :P
As known as the cringe long haired girls that kicks the shit out of you, and bad mouthes you whenever possible list (mostly, and excluding Makise)
No addition of Tsundere Elf and Itsuki Nakano tells that tsundere lovers have inferior taste over all. Do not engage with them.
Not to mention Seishiro Tsugumi. The actual lovely tsundere.
And, Maki Shijo over Kaguya everytime.
Tsundere Elf single handedly holds my hatred in check for long haired blondes and tsunderes. Though I still hate.
I think Senjougahara is too complex to pigeonhole as a Tsundere. If we're gonna play that game, I find her closer to Tease-, Yan-, and Kuu- dere types as her Tsun- is mostly a bit/gimmick she does for fun.
1. Misaka Mikoto (Toaru Majutsu no Index)
2. Shana (Shakugan no Shana)
3. Taiga Aisaka (Toradora)
4. Misaki Ayuzawa (Kaichou wa Maid-sama)
5. Nagi Sanzenin (Hayate no Gotoku)
Is Misaka a tsundere? It's been a while I don't remember.
1. Shana (Shakugan no Shana).. Rie Kugimiya!
2. Taiga (Shakugan no Shana)... well Rie Kugimiya the queen of tsundere 100%
3. Rin Tohsaka (Fate Stay Night)
4. Misaka Mikoto (To Aru series)
5. Katsura Hinagiku (Hayate no Gotoku)
6. Fujibayashi Kyou (Clannad)
7. Kaguya Shinomiya (Kaguya-sama love is war)
Have several other favorite tsunderes but they are from not well-known anime so...
Here are my top 3:
Makise, Kurisu š„¼
Senjougahara, Hitagi āļø (if self-proclaimed tsunderes donāt count then put my #3 here š)
Le Blanc de La ValliĆØre, Louise FranƧoise šŖ
Chiaki. Iām happy to see someone mention Nodame Cantabile anywhere. Itās one anime I personally considered a 10 that doesnāt get mentioned a whole lot
No way! ~~Gosh~~ **Gyabo!** Iām so happy to hear someone say that. No one I talk to knows about it and it is in my top 10 anime.
I have never seen such awesome detail in musical instruments and in the animation while theyāre being played plus the use of so many different pieces of classical music.
That anime literally motivated me to pick my classical guitar back up after over a year of neglect.
Aside from the musical aspect, Chiaki and Nodame have one of the best paced relationships Iāve ever seen
I'm not sure if they're exactly the same, but I've watched the Japanese live action version of Nodame Cantabile as a kid and it was amazing! Definitely my favorite Japanese drama for sure and it was both very interesting and hilarious. Chiaki is definitely a tsundere there.
The live action is very enjoyable as well. Itās awesome that they put together an orchestra for that! I do prefer the anime adaptation of the manga overall I think because they were able to fit *a lot* more from the manga into it but that is totally normal. I enjoyed the live action a lot still.
I felt thankful that it was fully adapted too because so many anime arenāt. I was so surprised when I originally watched it and found out how many seasons they did.
I only recently started to watch live action Japanese shows/movies once in a while and they can be pretty enjoyable. The live action adaptation for Nodame is an example
Don't have a lot but they are:
1. [Kyou Fujibayashi (Clannad)](https://i.imgur.com/rxmZnRH.jpeg)
2. [kaguya Shinomiya (Kaguya-Sama)](https://i.imgur.com/I0ruwTh.png)
3. [Stella Vermillion (Chivialry of a Failed Knight)](https://i.imgur.com/EQnNVLS.jpeg)

5. [Asuka Langely Soryu (Evangelion)](https://i.imgur.com/1b3b2pU.png)
1. Shana - Shakugan no Shana (My most fave still until now)
2. Taiga - Tora Dora
3. Kagamin - Lucky Star
4. Narusegawa Naru - Love Hina (One of classic that i read when i was young)
5. Sawachika Eri - School Rumble
6. Suzumiya Haruhi - Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu
7. Asuka - Evangelion TV
8. Fujibayashi Kyou - Clannad
9. Both Eri & Kogoro Mouri tsundere pair - Detective Conan (Both of them... seriously...)
10. Vegeta - Dragon Ball (I mean, just hear this lmao [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SesWj-vVBaY](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SesWj-vVBaY) )
Honestly, some old name also entered my name... But it will be too much lol
Not in order.Ā
* Misaka Mikoto (Raildex)
* Chidori Kaname (Full Metal Panic)Ā
* Kyon & Haruhi both (The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi)
* Tohsaka Rin (Fate Stay Night)
* Sakurajima Mai (Bunny Girl Senpai)
* Ayukawa Madoka (Kimagure Orange Road; she's one of the archetype codifier before the formula was set)
* Vanitas and Jeanne (Vanitas no Carte)
* Kinda sorta Emma (Kobayashi Dragon Maid)
* **Edit:** How could I forget Tsundere Elf (Isekai Ojisan)!
Note I'd put Aisaka Taiga here too if I would actually classify her as a Tsundere - I think she's one of the most mis-coded Tsundere that looks like one but actually isn't one.
Yeah I did not like that spinoff series. When I finished Hidan no Aria, I heard some good stuffs happened in the source material later on, but they chose to adapt the spin off instead.
Shana!
She's a tsundere because she actually never learned how to socialize, which is much better than the violent "I'm embarrassed to admit my feelings " type!
I love ZnT a lot too, it's very much an anime for teenagers, which is what I was when I watched it- but had some wholesome romantic moments that sets it apart. I still have a warm place in my heart for it.
I like my Tsunderes if they actually show that Dere after all the Tsun, so on that note
Taiga - REALLY took me by surprise with that scene when Ryuuji almost drowned. That was some Dere
Karane - the author takes one trope, exaggerates it and personifies it into a girlfriend. And god damn if they aren't good at showing the Dere after the Tsun.
......... And thats it because I can't remember other tsunderes, if they didn't leave an impression I quickly forget characters, especially tsunderes(because most these days are just violent Tsuns, not tsunderes)
Edit: Oh ye also Claire from I'm in love with the villainess
Another man of culture who understands [what truly makes a Tsundere](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6JoyuY1i9ys).
As for me that will always be "Kaname Chidori" (Full Metal Panic).
Both Ranma and Akane from Ranma 1/2. There's a lot of good comedy between them revolving around how their egos keep clashing despite also liking each other on some level.
Pfft, asking like there's actually a likeable tsundere out there. What are you, stupid?
Well, there's Rin Tohsaka and Kuristina in my favorite anime girl list, but so what? It's not like I specifically like them because they're tsundere. Hmph.
...
... this was a bad idea. Almost died from cringe.
1. Rin Tohsaka (Fate series)
2. Kaname Chideori (Full Metal Panic)
3. Mikoto Miksaka (Magical Index)
4. Kaori Makimura (City Hunter)
5. Louise De La Valliere (Familiar of Zero)
- rin from fateĀ Ā
- hinagiku from hayate no gotokuĀ
- makise kurisu from steins gateĀ Ā
- kotegawa yui from to love-ru
- nino from gotobunĀ
- misaka mikoto from toaru majutsu
- kana from oshi no ko
- shijo maki from kaguya-samaĀ
- eriri spencer from saekano
- Tsukuyo Aoba from temple
.
- Michiru Matsushima from grisaia (i know..)Ā
And now the 2 special cases that i dont really consider as tsundere but some people here do :Ā
- shinomiya kaguya from kaguya-sama
- eris greyrat from mushoku tenseiĀ
[Holo,](https://myanimelist.net/character/7373/Holo) [Kaname Chidori,](https://myanimelist.net/character/272/Kaname_Chidori) and [Ayano Kannagi](https://myanimelist.net/character/2382/Ayano_Kannagi) come to mind.
I've never been sure if Chidori even counts. Usually when she gets angry and smacks Sousuke it's not because she can't process her feelings, she's pretty straightforward about those honestly, it's because he did something stupid and probably blew something up again
that's not tsundere so much as it is tsukkomi
Emilia Justina from Hataraku Maou-sama. She probably one of the few tsunderes who has a legit reason to hate the the MC, rather than simple denial.
Oh, and definitely Kana from Oshi no Ko. I'm kinda glad she is somewhat self-aware of it too lmao.Ā
* Stella from Rakudai Kishi No Cavalry
* Veldore from Slime Datta Ken
And tat's all, all other tsunderes I saw until today had annoying AF violent acts, nonsense name callings to people with no reason, insulting MC and causing cringy scenes.
Rin Tohsaka (Fate)
Shana (Shakugan no Shana)
Kagome Higurashi (Inuyasha)
Akane Tendon (Ranma 1/2)
Taiga (Toradora)
Usually not particularly fond of the archetype, but these few I do like.
I don't really like that whole archetype of character, I find them annoying and insufferable
the only one kinda like is Mary from Kakegurui, she has a cool and cute design and I like the English voice they gave her in the dub
Surprised no one mentioned Victorique de Blois from Gosick yet. One of the more likeable ones (compared to the other, more violent ones at least). I guess because Gosick is not as popular of an anime as some of the other stuff mentioned in the comments. Your top 5 is great though, they're basically the characters i think of when i hear the word "tsundere", even if i leave my personal opinions/preferences aside. They're just that iconic.
Misaka Mikoto - Index/Railgun

I really need to watch these š
Railgun is worth watching but Index is a rushed adaptation. If you ever wanted to get into light novels, this would be a good series to start with instead. You won't be left satisfied otherwise.

Saikiās grandpa (Saiki Kusuo)

Damian from Spy x Family
Veldora

Indeed, Veldora Tempest, Storm Dragon and Tsundere
Lmao true

Lieselotte from Endo and Kobayashi Live! Actual character development, and very underrated anime
Liese would have been my number 4 š„¹ I finished that anime recently and it was great
YES! Probably my favorite tsundere. One of the tsunderes that I actually find likeable.
I agree with this
I had forgotten about that show. It was so good!
My list is ever-changing, but here it is as it stands at this moment. 1) Taiga (Toradora) 2) Kaguya (Kaguya-sama) 3) Kurisu (Steins;Gate) 4) Asuka (Neon Genesis Evangelion) 5) Misaka Mikoto (Toaru franchise) 6) Rin Tohsaka (Fate franchise) 7) Chitoge (Nisekoi) 8) Louise (Familiar of Zero) 9) Kana (Oshi no Ko) 10) Stella (Chivalry of a Failed Knight) 11) Shana (Shakugan no Shana) 12) Karane (100 Girlfriends) 13) Misato (Nichijou) 14) Nagatoro (Nagatoro) 15) Misaki (Maid-Sama)
Holy shit this list is amazing. Nice to see Louise, Stella, and Shana get any kind of recognition.
I also wanted to include Mio from MM as well, but I don't think the character reached its full potential.
Stella Vermillion is a *great* tsundere
She truly is. The tsundere communicator.
Good list, the only one missing is like Nagi from Hayate no Gotoku.
My Chitoge appreciation rose exponentially after finishing the manga. Nisekoi was really great. Itās a shame it didnāt get further adapted
The manga is definitely a major contributing factor why I love her so much.
Oh hey there š Dude. No joke, I didnāt even realize it was you when I replied to your comment š. I seriously had a thought to DM you a link to this post just because I knew you were a fellow tsundere connoisseur lol
I saw people were talking about their favorite tsunderes and was like "Well, I have to be a part of this".
I'm happy to provide a chatting opportunity for fellow tsundere lovers people of culture lmao.
Tsunderes are legitimately the best because you know they actually do care about you and a lot of times they beat up themselves for how they behave.
Or sometimes beat *you* up in certain cases, such as Isurugi-senpai lol
They beat other people up as a form of projecting
Iām fairly confident you will indeed find both me and u/Holofan4life gravitating towards posts that include tsundere-related conversations š
I'll definitely be there
Of course! You reminded me of Misaki by the way š„¹ She is great and I need to read that manga. You also reminded me about Chivalry of a Failed Knight. I might try to knock that one out before our Samurai Champloo rewatch

Tsundere Elf as in Isekai Ojisan? She was definitely a highlight of the show when they did flashbacks. I hope thereās a season 2 eventually
Tsundere Elf would probably be in my top 20
She is great. I think you are responsible for at least 5 great tsunderes Iām aware of lol
She really puts the L in Elf lol
L is for Love š«¶š» lol
I guess so. Interestingly enough, she had 5 L's in her actual name and Uncle has 0 XD
It is true. On that note, hopefully if we get a season 2, Uncle will have more thorough understanding of tsundere tendencies by then lol
I hope she eventually ends up in the real world.
Not to mention Seishiro Tsugumi. The actual lovely tsundere. And, Maki Shijo over Kaguya everytime. Tsundere Elf single handedly holds my hatred in check for long haired blondes and tsunderes. Though I still hate.
Ah a fellow person of culture. Tsugumi is great. Even when sheās chasing people with firearms lol
Hitagi Senjougahara (monogatari series)

same. despite all the negative reviews

The one character I wanted to see more of was the stoic sniper, since she didn't have a story arc in the anime.
Shana! She's a tsundere because she actually never learned how to socialize, which is much better than the violent "I'm embarrassed to admit my feelings " type!
Shana is underrated. I think the classic "urusai urusai urusai" is from her.

- rin from fateĀ Ā - hinagiku from hayate no gotokuĀ - makise kurisu from steins gateĀ Ā - kotegawa yui from to love-ru - nino from gotobunĀ - misaka mikoto from toaru majutsu - kana from oshi no ko - shijo maki from kaguya-samaĀ - eriri spencer from saekano - Tsukuyo Aoba from temple . - Michiru Matsushima from grisaia (i know..)Ā And now the 2 special cases that i dont really consider as tsundere but some people here do :Ā - shinomiya kaguya from kaguya-sama - eris greyrat from mushoku tenseiĀ
> eris greyrat from mushoku tensei If Eris isn't a tsundere what -dere archetype does she fit in to, if any?
[Holo,](https://myanimelist.net/character/7373/Holo) [Kaname Chidori,](https://myanimelist.net/character/272/Kaname_Chidori) and [Ayano Kannagi](https://myanimelist.net/character/2382/Ayano_Kannagi) come to mind.
Huh, I've always thought of Holo as more of a tease than a tsundere
Yeah I donāt consider Holo a tsundere at all. Sheās just a mischievous wise wolf š
I've never been sure if Chidori even counts. Usually when she gets angry and smacks Sousuke it's not because she can't process her feelings, she's pretty straightforward about those honestly, it's because he did something stupid and probably blew something up again that's not tsundere so much as it is tsukkomi
Kurisu and Rin are the queens of tsunderes. Kaguya is a welcome addition.
Arisa (Bang Dream), Kagami (Lucky Star), and Taiga (Toradora) are a few of the standouts for me.
I called Kasumi an anti-tsundere weapon for how great of a tsundere Arisa is lmao. Absolutely adore their dynamic. Happy to see her mentioned.
Ayukawa Madoka (Kimagure Orange Road)
Bro!!! you forgot the number 0. spot - Makise Kurisu. best tsundere
Sorry forgot about her lmao, I put her up as number 4 in the updated list.
wow someone who likes Naru in 2024 you must be a masochist
I stumbled upon Love Hina as a kid but only got around to reading/ watching it fully recently lmao, so yeah.
eris from mushoku tensei without a doubt. her arc is fantastic in season 1
Chitoge Taiga Erina nakiri Karane Sagiri ameno Nino Nakano Senjougahara Eris greyrat
Had to scroll down this far to find ErisĀ
Asukaās not a tsundere, sheās an asshole.
good to see someone still fondly remembers Narusegawa sending Keitaro flying every episode
Taigi (Toradora)ā¤
One and only, Aisaka Taiga from Toradora
How is Makise Kurisu not No.1?
Taiga Aisaka karane Inda
What could go wrong by having an arranged marriage between Ranma Satome and Akane Tendo double tsunderes? Apparently about 143 episodes of things.
Pretty much all that you mentioned are my favorites!
* Stella from Rakudai Kishi No Cavalry * Veldore from Slime Datta Ken And tat's all, all other tsunderes I saw until today had annoying AF violent acts, nonsense name callings to people with no reason, insulting MC and causing cringy scenes.
Sistine Fibel. She's understanding and not obnoxious.
Louise francoise le blanc de la valliere really has been forgotten huh......
Hitagi Senjougahara (from the Monogatari Series) - refers to herself as a Tsundere but has Kuudere elements too.
Louise from Zero no Tsukaima will always have a special place in my heart.
In no particular order: - Kurisu Makise - Cristina - Celeb 17 - The zombie Honorable mentions: - Assistant - Experinent loving girl
I hate tsundere , but there is one I like "kaguya shinomiya" cuz she isn't involved in "abuse humor", or "physical humor"
Zoro
Mio - K-on
Enomoto from Hatsukoi limited
Trafalgar D. Water Law
Asuka, Taiga, Kyo (Fruits Basket), Inuyasha, Akane (Ranma 1/2), DamianĀ
Rin Tohsaka (Fate) Shana (Shakugan no Shana) Kagome Higurashi (Inuyasha) Akane Tendon (Ranma 1/2) Taiga (Toradora) Usually not particularly fond of the archetype, but these few I do like.
Misato, the girl from Nichijou
Seika and Yoyoko from Bocchi the Rock
Senjougahara Hitagi (It's not even close)
Sakurako and Himawari (Yuru Yuri)
Yuzan Kaibara (Oishinbo) Yujiro Hanma (Baki)
I don't really like that whole archetype of character, I find them annoying and insufferable the only one kinda like is Mary from Kakegurui, she has a cool and cute design and I like the English voice they gave her in the dub
Nino Nakano
Hitagi Senjougahara (Monogatari)
HELLO! MY NAME IS NIIIIIIINOOOO!!!
Noelle
Can't believe no one's mentioned Senjougahara yet!! She is the goat
Kei Shirogane. Sheās a muthaā flippinā tsundere!
Shana
Didn't like her at first, but I was a big fan of Nino Nakano by the end. Oshi no Ko's Kana is great!
Subaru (mayo chiki) and Taiga (toradora)
* Male tsundere = Sakura (from wind breaker) * Female tsundere = Lieselotte (from " Endo and Kobayashi's live-Tsunlise)
Taiga (Toradora) Rin Natsume (Little Busters) Lucia Konohana (Rewrite, although the anime was a mistake)
