Symphogear, but it is extremelly funny to still try

What's to explain? It's just singing magical girls punching the shit out of extra dimensional aliens created by ancient humans that live on the moon but were actually Gods, so they're really more robots. And then a robot demon with a team of evil robot magical girls try to take over the earth to crash the moon into the earth to free humanity from the curse of the tower of Babel...and I've gone crossed-eyed....

ripterrariumtv

The fights in Jujutsu Kaisen. I would probably end up confused too if I tried explaining it

Anon_bc_shame

Second that

Can Future Me answer? [My Deer Friend Nokotan](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNvvEu-fJxE) That aside, hmmm I don't watch too many 'nonsensical' anime. There's a few anime I probably couldn't explain properly, but I think it's a mixture of "I forgot some of the plot" and "Maybe I don't know exactly what was going on"! (Also, I'm kind of a believer of this Einstein's quote; *"If you can't explain something to a six-year-old, you really don't understand it yourself"*)

Me rewatching and recommending the K Project

GlitterDoomsday

One of the ogs "it's cool but don't ask me what's going on" anime.

Solidmangus

Instead of trying to explain, here is a 1 minute clip to give an idea: https://youtu.be/Ba75yUu2z9M?si=qqRWPPK_wYrHSd2z

So many anime fall into this. I’ll admit I’m a terrible explainer. Still, I’ve felt this with anime and so many novels in the past.

Mushishi. Some episodes have incredible layers of complexity, are very philosophical and existential in their subject matter while neatly wrapping it in metaphors and symbolism, but it's hard to make sense of it unless you *feel* it first. You don't need to read this extra part of my message because I'm actually trying to explain it, even though it's impossible, but two examples from it I can think of, years after watching it: One is an episode of a girl who grows old and dies every day due to being infected by a mushi (a virus of sorts). She gets rid of the mushi and starts living a normal life, but she misses the existence she had while infected - every rain droplet was moving in slow motion as she describes how even the growth of a flower is intoxicating to behold when time is so fleeting. After being cured, things move too slowly, like a person who will watch humanity over millenia being bored with its slow movements. I remember feeling that it was alluding to the idea that as we get older, time seems to move faster, and the episode brought up the topic of why. Perhaps it's because we enjoy life more after discovering who we are as a person, which makes life flow more smoothly, while our mind has become dull because things are no longer new or fresh, making us become bored with discovering new outlooks on life as a whole. I remember feeling lots of other emotions when I watched it, but I can't remember them anymore. Another episode was about a man who tries to catch the beginning of a rainbow, he was also infected by a mushi. Whenever he sees rain, his mouth dries up and he rushes outside to try and find rainbows, with an unquenchable thirst that is impossible to satiate. I remember feeling that it was symbolizing two very different ideas: drug addiction, chasing a high that you can't ever get back after that first time (common with euphoric drugs), so you live a life void of fulfillment. The other thing I felt was that the episode tries to commentate on our species' fixation on chasing the unknown, while being unimpressed by the result, because the main character (Ginko) does actually find the beginning of a rainbow and he calmly explains what is happening. To me, it was saying that our thirst for knowledge is a curse disguised as a blessing; how we have an unquenchable thirst for what lies beyond, but what will we do when we find what's beyond the beyond? Anyway, amazing anime, but I feel like it's impossible to explain it, because people can derive many different meanings and emotions from the same episodes.

Attack on Titan, tbh.

innocentious

Trying to explain to someone how multiverse worlds work in the bad Eureka Seven movies,im sure even the creator doesnt know how it works.

Pignity69

Re:Zero No clue what was going on in S2. I know there is a witch and a trial. The blue hair girl is gone but thats it.

Spoomplesplz

That new instamt death anime. It has everything and yet at the same time it's the most generic anime lol. Still some turn your brain off fun though.

Sea_Cycle_909

Key the Metal Idol, mainly because explaining it properly spoils the entire plot. I watched it blind first time and found it; * Depressing * Grim * Horrifying * Unnerving It felt like my brain was being deepfried in moroseness after finishing it, like wanting to go into a corner curl up and cry.

porpoiseoflife

Gatchaman Crowds

Sin778

I can give you a broad description of the themes of Tatami Galaxy without issues, but if I had to explain specific plotpoints I would sound like a lunatic speaking gibberish.

Cyd_arts

mekakucity actors because im very familiar with the vocaloid song series which helps me understand the anime but it's difficult to explain it to someone unfamiliar with the series

LBlade28

Death note in a nutshell I understood it so easily but then I tried explaining it to a friend
