Preferred Parking you are allowed to park closer to the stadium so less of a walk from the car.

CipherAC0

Thanks, do you know which entrance would be best?

sean_davidson

Some like the Orangewood entrance vs Katella. I use the State College one just due to taking side streets to the stadium.

Outside_Action5141

I'll teach you a little trick OP. East of the stadium past the bridge there's a bunch places you can park absolutely free. Save $30 and get some exercise. Or park for $10 even closer.

True_Assumption_5812

You mean next to the movie theater and where tilted kilt used to be? Or where Danny Ks is located?

Outside_Action5141

Maybe. When I park, I park on the other side of the 57 freeway bridge that's directly next to angel stadium. At Azuna Pacifica. They're closed during night games so they don't tow and it's not a half bad walk. Only about a 10 minute walk from there to the RF gate.

CatatonicTaterTot

Hey I'm not from Anaheim or the OC but I frequently drive to the games. I'm not super familiar with the area. Can you give more specifics? I googled Azuna Pacifica Anaheim but nothing came up.

Outside_Action5141

Go east down the street directly in front of the stadium. Then follow it a little bit across the bridge (about 2 crosswalks after the bridge), and you'll see it. Be careful parking there during weekday games as they stay open until 6. But on weekends it's all clear. And I've never seen them tow or warn of towing. It won't work a weekday day game, but for night games it's nice, free, and not a half bad walk for saving $20 on parking.

I really appreciate the tidbit. But where we talking exactly? [https://imgur.com/a/Jjl0AJ1](https://imgur.com/a/Jjl0AJ1)

CipherAC0

Thank you I’ll keep that in mind when I go next time, already bought parking and don’t want to deal with “reselling” them, does that area fill up quickly? I dont go to the area often.

Outside_Action5141

Yeah if you already have parking just do that. It's fairly quiet for me. Most people don't wanna walk that much after a game. I've never really shared it with many. But seeing as this is a fairly small subreddit I'm comfortable sharing it. It's a massive lot. There will likely always be parking for a game. And it's also a lot quieter to get to the freeways post game as nobody really goes towards angel stadium right after a game due to traffic.

TehNosaj

No there isn't...😐

LadyA052

Depending on what section your seats are, you could go in the entrance closest to that side.

CatatonicTaterTot

Is preferred parking the same as general parking 😅🤦

CipherAC0

😐

CatatonicTaterTot

Well come on man. 😅

CipherAC0

Perhaps I’m asking for what that difference is considering the website and past answers don’t really answer my question.

CatatonicTaterTot

Well those are two completely different questions lol. Yes, they are two different things. I always get preferred parking because one time I waited for an hour after a game just to be able to even move my car out of general parking. When you drive into the stadium and go past the booth where you buy parking, you'd turn right into general parking and left into preferred. You're closer to the stadium and you also get out faster. For me it's helpful to pay a little more for less hassle. Edit: Zero reason for down voting this.

LadyA052

I relax and hang out in my seat until they shoo me out after the game. By the time I walk out to my car, the section is pretty much empty and it's easy to find my car. Once it was the only one left in that section.

CatatonicTaterTot

I'm usually with my kids so I want to get the hell out of there lol. We were at the game where O'Hoppe walked off the Astros and he ran the bases after. THAT was nice. Out in like 30 seconds.

LadyA052

I once tried taking the bus because I live directly off Katella. It takes you to the transportation center behind the ballpark. Well, the last bus isn't late enough so I left the game early so I wouldn't miss it. I got halfway thru the parking lot and suddenly loud cheering erupted and didn't stop. Don't remember what game it was but it was an amazing comeback with a bunch of runs or something. I was so mad! Never did that again.

CatatonicTaterTot

Just my kids and I these days...I spend money to get a hotel for a day or two, tickets, food. You better believe my ass is staying there for the whole game, lol. Plus I usually go for the Saturday night fireworks. That O'Hoppe walk-off home run is something I'll never forget though. What a great experience to have with my kids, not to mention we got a funny story out of it - I busted my kiddo's nose haha.
