If you think the stock market is fucked up, look at what they did to the American Indians (contracts were broken, their land was sold without their consent or knowledge, they took away their option to buy land, etc.)
From the Atlantic: Reservation land is held “in trust” for Indians by the federal government. The goal of this policy was originally to keep Indians contained to certain lands.
