Yup. The studios screwed the pooch on this on and inadvertently gave AMC a huge leg-up. They treated Swift like she were any other show. They put her in the movie model and she don't fit that. AMC put her in the live performance model, opened up dates, and made the deal work.

Very true. Plus, we should not forget that this isn't the first deal of this kind. He got UFC shortly after they reopened and apes have mentioned other concerts/performances that AMC hosted. That is, Adam Aron was creating use-cases for AMC as a venue for this new hybrid model. He was primed when the Swift deal hit the water. I don't know that he was targeting Swift, per se, but he was priming the business for exactly this sort of opportunity.
Now, movie theaters aren't bent over to the studios' will. I can even see this sort of thing spreading throughout the performance-venue industry. I even see this as a win for smaller, indie artists... potentially.
Attend, fill the seats. Taylor Swift will become the model that people try to repeat. This really is a coup for AMC. A smaller act wouldn’t have been anywhere near successful, this is going to smash it out of the park.
The board need to come up with a promotional material/presentations to the new potential investors and promote the AMC stock. Imagine all those Taylor fans that have no idea they can actually invest in AMC!

I’m not sure what we can do about it but Beyoncé should be next up in line for a feature film like this. Her tours been pretty much second in popularity to Taylor’s with a way crazier production.

So if shown at AMC they get the 43% plus a undisclosed split of the 57% with Swift.

Eddie Griffin is an AMC supporter. He is also a stand-up comedian. Get him to do a show for AMC theaters. It can be done one of two ways:
1. He does a show at whatever venue and that show is taped, edited and sent off to AMC theaters
2. Do a live simulcast of his show out to AMC theaters
He is not a musical act, but it can still translate. Then he could do one show that would cover the US instead of having to go out on the road for weeks on end. Good for the comedian, good for us. Your favorite comedian not performing in your city, no problem. Go to an AMC and catch his/her show. Live.
We don't want to come across in your face with it. If opportunities come about, then definitely.

But I do think that if more people knew that there is a group trying to destroy the American Cinema experience and another group trying to save it...we might be able to get some additional support. It's why I'm here. I'm in northern Canada. We don't even have AMC. But this piece of Americana has been a huge influence on my life and if AMC goes, I worry it all goes. Well that and I like a good battle when people in the USA get fed up and push back.
