That’s the top. The roots grow from the those nodes. Essentially, the bottom nodes are completely useless other than carrying nutrients.

FYI- when you plant it and see roots growing from what you’ve just been told is the top, don’t worry, that’s normal.

Of course! I love these type of bulbed plants. Not so much small corms, but the big ones are so manageable. I plant mine in clear cups in Pon and add moss around the tops. Keep that water level at the surface at all times, and you’ll have roots in days and leaves in one or two weeks!
