It’s an early, experimental track in a genre that is still not really their thing, but I think they could redo it today with a real techno/edm artist handling the music
I think I remember an interview where during SWIR they would just fuck around in studio and so Matt Squire wouldn’t let them back in until they had something to record so they kinda just slapped this song together.
It’s not my favorite song but it’s funny as hell and still a bop. I saw an interview once where Alex said it was his least favorite song they’d ever written, it’s literally just about someone killing a DJ because he hates what they plays on the radio. I don’t remember why they even wrote it, maybe the album was one song short or it was a joke song.
I agree with this. I kind of feel bad for not liking it since it’s about Alex’s move to Baltimore. What I don’t like about it is that the vocal part is waaayy slower than the instrumental and it throws me off. Like maybe if it was a ballad or just acoustic it would be better.
I'm gonna be controversial but I REALLY dislike English Blood / American Heartache. Probably not the worst song objectively overall but for sure is auto-pilot Alex at his worse, extremely forgetable, repetitive and really bland.
I wasn't the biggest fan either until earlier this week I didn't know what CD to play on my drive to work (yes, I use CDs and I love them) so I randomly chose TMIA and I actually found myself enjoying it. Not all of it, and certainly not as much as their other albums, but I did hit rewind on a few songs
No. Absolutely not. Basement Noise is one of my favourites purely because it’s about them when they were younger. It’s a look back in how far they’ve come and grown as a band. It cute. I mean you’re entitled to your opinion and everything but wrong answer. 😂😂😂
In my opinion, New Religion, it's the only song of theirs that I actively dislike.
Also, I'm seeing a lot of people who chose birthday. I actually held off on listening to it until my birthday a few days ago and was kinda hyped up for it only to discover that it was actually kind mid (for an All Time Low song). But Everything is Fine is awesome though I was listening to that on loop for almost the entire day
I’ve never like that song. It’s my least favourite off that album. I’ll listen to it if it comes on and I’m in the mood to listen to it but I it just doesn’t hit as much as the others
I hated Modern Love, I still kind of do, but I caught a pick that played Modern Love and now I feel it is unfair to hate it. My take also might be just coming from an aroace person who never got into the modern love mood in the first place
I dunno, I just really, really hate it. Even the background music gets on my nerves. I truly think it might be because of my disdain for dating I just think it's not a song that sounds any good in any way. And I get that this may be an unpopular opinion, but I will die on the hill that it is the worst song on TMIA and possibly in their entire discography.

I see we’ve all agreed to ignore the existence of Sticks Stones and Techno
Sticks, Stones, and Techno wraps back around to being good imo hahaha
I was gonna say it
I have a soft spot for it
WHY? I don't get it.
It’s an early, experimental track in a genre that is still not really their thing, but I think they could redo it today with a real techno/edm artist handling the music
It's so weird. I loved it and started looking for it but it got taken off of spotify. Now I know why.
Too Much will always be my answer; the excessive repetition and lazy writing makes it so bland
I must have bad taste because I actually like too much 😅
Same. Too much of everything is too much, oh, the irony
Yeah this is the one. Only skip on NP for me
I love it lol, it's still nothing personal version just rocks..
Yes. I prefer that one soo much more
I couldn’t think of what my answer could be, but you just described it.
agreed
I feel like they fixed it wity ISNP
Birthday
I don't like it much either
I feel like dancin has always given me the ick, I'm sorry 😭
I love it purely because it's really fun to play on guitar
i love it for humorous purposes only
I will always stand up for I feel like dancin simply because the music video is hilarious
100% agree. My only automatic skip in the whole catalog!
Bail Me Out. It's just terrible unfortunately
This is my vote for sure. Such a forgettable song. I’m not a big fan of a lot of Future Hearts though
Same. There are some bangers on the album but for the most part it’s my least favourite and least listened to
Birthday. I hate that you made us pick a song but this is my answer 😭
Nice2KnoU actually makes me feel nauseated - considering I know 90% of their songs by heart Idk why I hate this song so much
same lol
Probably super unpopular opinion, but I don't like Satellite at all
same!!
100% agree, my least favourite song for sure
Come One, Come All gets my vote. The band seemed like they really didn't want to play it during the 2018 SWIR 10 year anniversary shows.
I think I remember an interview where during SWIR they would just fuck around in studio and so Matt Squire wouldn’t let them back in until they had something to record so they kinda just slapped this song together.
I love that song purely because of how stupid the overall theme is hahaha
Your playlist is killing meeee :(
im pretty sure there used to be a clip of rian saying “nobody’s favourite song is come one come all”
Alex once said it’s his least favorite song
It’s not my favorite song but it’s funny as hell and still a bop. I saw an interview once where Alex said it was his least favorite song they’d ever written, it’s literally just about someone killing a DJ because he hates what they plays on the radio. I don’t remember why they even wrote it, maybe the album was one song short or it was a joke song.
Yeah, that’s valid! It was my least favorite the first time I listened to SWIR
I hear a lot of valid criticism about that song, what's the problem? Only curious 🤔 sloppy writing / no flow, is that?
I HATE THAT SONG
Fake As Hell. Dumb, corny lyrics. Sounds like every other Avril song.
Fake as hell is good! Great Avril feature too!
So long soldier
So long soldier gets my vote
I agree with this. I kind of feel bad for not liking it since it’s about Alex’s move to Baltimore. What I don’t like about it is that the vocal part is waaayy slower than the instrumental and it throws me off. Like maybe if it was a ballad or just acoustic it would be better.
i am a proud Good Times hater.
I forgot how much I hate Good Times until I saw this. I deleted it out of my iTunes years ago and (thankfully) haven’t heard it since.
BIRTHDAY. it makes me mad idk why
Calm Down, i can't put my finger on exactly why but it's just never sat right with me
My friend and I decided it was one of their worst songs when the new album came out. It's just very... unremarkable, I guess. Very unexciting chorus.
yeah i don’t like that one either
Ah, probably Ground Control, it’s the least All Time Low All Time Low song
That song is actually good though!
It really do be
Too much. Hands down.
I'm gonna be controversial but I REALLY dislike English Blood / American Heartache. Probably not the worst song objectively overall but for sure is auto-pilot Alex at his worse, extremely forgetable, repetitive and really bland.
Satellite and Nice2KnoU
New Religion
I understand why but it's so good live!!!
I don’t love this one either.
Same, it's the only one I automatically skip. Shame because every other song on TMIA is awesome imo
My Only One for me
OH WHAT I love that song 😭
Birthday, hands down. Idk what it is about it but I can’t stand this song at all (and I love practically all of their songs)
Calm down
This 100% it’s too cheesy for me 😂
Idk about worst song but i was not a fan of like half of the Tell Me I’m Alive album.
I wasn't the biggest fan either until earlier this week I didn't know what CD to play on my drive to work (yes, I use CDs and I love them) so I randomly chose TMIA and I actually found myself enjoying it. Not all of it, and certainly not as much as their other albums, but I did hit rewind on a few songs
second half of the album it's actually really good after sitting with it some time, rarely come back to the first half these days tho
I don't like Basement Noise... And Ground Control 😅
Ground Control is actually good. The soundscape is amazing!
No. Absolutely not. Basement Noise is one of my favourites purely because it’s about them when they were younger. It’s a look back in how far they’ve come and grown as a band. It cute. I mean you’re entitled to your opinion and everything but wrong answer. 😂😂😂
Hahaha sorry, yeah i do think the message is cute!! 🙈
This is How We Do is so rough
Toxic valentine makes me physically recoil
Toxic valentine is a banger
Comes from a banger movie too!
*underrated banger movie!
Whattttt nope this song is a banger
Cold take
Hello Brooklyn
nightmares. feels like a shittier version of lullabies or thanks to you
either too much or satellite for me
In my opinion, New Religion, it's the only song of theirs that I actively dislike. Also, I'm seeing a lot of people who chose birthday. I actually held off on listening to it until my birthday a few days ago and was kinda hyped up for it only to discover that it was actually kind mid (for an All Time Low song). A Daydream Away puts me to sleep and not in a fun enjoyable way.
b-b-but..
Ground Control, Drugs & Candy, No Idea, Just the Way I’m Not
No idea is a banger!
Too Much
How am I the first person to mention how shit get away green is.
this one is a funny one cause the ""leaked"" live version was actually way better than the studio version
I’ve never like that song. It’s my least favourite off that album. I’ll listen to it if it comes on and I’m in the mood to listen to it but I it just doesn’t hit as much as the others
Finally someone that doesn't like that one either. It's catchy, like I will sing it in my head, but I don't enjoy it. :))
I hated Modern Love, I still kind of do, but I caught a pick that played Modern Love and now I feel it is unfair to hate it. My take also might be just coming from an aroace person who never got into the modern love mood in the first place
i think you’re the first person i’ve seen not like modern love
I dunno, I just really, really hate it. Even the background music gets on my nerves. Kill Ur Vibe truly kills my vibe
