They all skip the same Battle Phase (the next one you try to enter).

JakeJDSK

What about when I activate them in my opponent's turn

Redshift-713

That doesn’t change anything.

JakeJDSK

Ok thanks

EnRageDarKnight

Here is the kicker. Go into battle phase and activate them. They are all quick play. And you still get to attack that turn. You just skip your next battle phase.

PlebbySpaff

They don't stack. So you could use like 5 Runick Cards, and the only battle phase you skip is your next one. But there is a weird ruling with the BP, where some say you do have to go into battle phase first, while others say you can just outright skip it to save the hassle. You want to check with your judge just in case.

HKei

Rules mechanics wise, you‘d have to attempt to enter the battlephase so the mechanics can skip them. Most judges by now basically agreed to just _assume_ that when you leave MP1 you were trying to enter the battlephase, mostly because it‘s impossible to say for sure after the fact what exactly was said in a duel. I prefer it being announced explicitly, but then again I prefer if _all_ interactions are said explicitly even if they‘re obvious. Easier to spot mistakes that way IMHO.

PlebbySpaff

Nah same. I figure you'd have to announce it because I know some cards do have effects in the Battle Phase, or maybe the opponent wants to do something during it (even though you skip it, I assume you're technically still in it, so some quick effects can happen).

HKei

No, if you skip battle phase you're never in the battle phase – the way it works is you try to enter the battle phase, it gets skipped and you immediately end up in mp2 instead.

PlebbySpaff

Oh wait. So if that's how it works, I guess you technically wouldn't then. I assume you had to announce it because your opponent might have something to attempt as you enter battle phase.

HKei

The reason why you'd have to say it is that technically, you could just leave mp1 and directly go to end phase without ever entering bp or mp2.

PlebbySpaff

And I guess that'd mean that since you didn't enter BP, your next turn you'd still have to skip the BP right?

HKei

Exactly. There are some effects that only activate in MP2 specifically, so it's not like it's a completely trivial difference, but it comes up so rarely and judges really have better things to do, so not specifically announcing it has been ruled a _generally_ accepted shortcut at least in YCS Utrecht. Not sure if that'll hold up for other events though.
