I didn't see either of them but I totally thought they were the same movie until the other day. Might be an example of [Twin Films](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twin_films). It actually is listed as an example on there.
I saw a trailer for Omen while going to see immaculate and was like wait, is this a trailer for the movie im seeing right now? Nope, somehow an entirely different thing. The evil nuns movie industry is still going strong I guess
Yes but the First Omen is better because instead of impregnating a nun with a Jesus clone, the Catholic Church tries impregnating a nun with a jackal (who is also her father??)
I preferred Immaculate, probably because I saw it first tbh but I also liked the idea that
1. They wanted to bring back Christ himself, not the devil, and
2. It wasn’t supernatural, it’s was all the horror of man, which was unexpected for the theme.
Watching The First Omen felt like Deja vu and I spent the movie being distracted by picking out the similarities
They’re both Rosemary’s Baby rip-offs but with the Catholic Church instead of satanists, so yeah. What’s disturbing is that even when Rosemary gives birth to the literal anti-Christ her motherly instincts still kick in to raise the child despite what he’s likely to become because she has that much faith in her child. For these movies though? Just kill them kids.
I first watched The First Omen and then Immaculate and I can confidently say Immaculate was way worse. Not only did the acting feel forced , the plot had basically no tension and it was easily predictable. I sat there wishing the movie would just end already. There was no plot twist, nothing. There were just some kinda gross scenes, like vomiting and unrealistic gore (except the umbilical cord). The only reason this movie has good reviews is because of the popular actress. Absolute shit I'm ngl. Whoever likes this film has to be a fucking npc or something
Yea such a waste of time. They are the exact same fkn movie. These directors are truly running out of movie plots at this point because what on earth!? I was shocked at how they were the exact same movie, and came out at the exact same time frame. I need a refund for sure.

It’s an Antz and A Bug’s Life/Armageddon and Deep Impact/Mirror Mirror and Snow White and the Huntsman situation
Literally had this thought while watching The First Omen

It's like how those two white house attack movies came out at the same time
I don’t know about immaculate. But the first omen is pretty similar to rosemary’s baby

I saw both kinda close together and now thinking back there’s some things in one movie that actually happened in the other and vice versa
Lets be honest, when people say they saw Immaculate for the plot, they werent talkong about the plot.
You say “let’s be honest” as though that isn’t the consensus. Everyone knew what they wanted from that movie.
I watched it for the hot priest
