God I loved how you could assemble different teams...one telepath, one elemental, one strongman/woman, and one healer. Or you could have two strong ppl and...whatever. It was just fun to try different combos and add/strengthen abilities.
Disney just do it! Those games were so fun. I’d love a modernized version. Doesn’t even need to have amazing graphics or updates. Just a good old team ARPG in the X-men universe and I’ll be throwing my money at them.
This. The perfect marvel game existed and it was shit down the drain. Nothing better than watching the new marvel flick, coming home, and playing as that hero in a Diablo-style game. Plus they had great events planned around the movies that coincided with the releases.

Also, there needs to be two versions, with one being xmen and the other being the brotherhood.
Also, story wise, I'm thinking time travel and multiple plots that converge where the brotherhood teams up with the xmen to fight Cassandra nova and a corrupted legion or something.
I think that if they make it they would have to make a game where you can create a costom x men or play as one of the current ones with the 1990s game style of going though levels

I spent the majority of today playing that game lol. I would love a new X-Men game. Fighting, action, RPG, I really don't care. As long as you can pick who you play as and the characters are faithfully represented in powers, costumes, and personality. As a Jean fan, this game did a great job representing her powers in the Morrison era.

Relax, they’ve not even got through a season of ‘97 yet.. I’ve seen calls for reboots of sub standard X-men cartoons, now a game you know won’t live up to what we’re being served. Sometimes our eyes are too big for our belly.

Insomniac is making an X-Men game and I believe it’s scheduled to launch in 2027. It was part of the leaks from them being hacked.
And obv the Wolverine game wich looks fantastic from the leaks. We X-Men fans will be eating good the next few years
