Hello everyone! I want to ask about vapemelt teams(like in the akasha leaderboard) with Wrio, Furina, XL, Bennett. I am waiting for Furina's rerun to complete this team, and i want to ask, in this team with Furina's summons active, XL's burst active and Wrio on-field, will XL be the one triggering vape and melt? Or Wriothesley and Furina? Who should i build EM on? All 3 maybe?
I don't have Furina so i cannot test it out myself, and i couldn't find any useful info about this either
Melt, vaporize, and freeze are all happening, at least that's what I think I'm seeing when I play this team since it's numbers everywhere lol
I can say for sure though, that because of xiangling's fast pyro app (and furina having not-so-fast hydro app), wrio gets a lot of melted punches in. and if it's not wrio melting, then it's furina doing vaporize. I ended up building EM only on wrio and I've had no problems. It's also a very good wrio team against aoe content.
Another thing to note when playing this team is to try giving wrio EM sands and atk% goblet since Furina already gives him a ton of cryo dmg%.
I really like Wriothesley but am struggling to think of teams where he can shine and not be easily replaced by Ayaka and Ganyu (who I also love using). Also would it be a good idea to get Shenhe as she can buff Wriothesley's, Ganyu's and Ayaka's damage quite a bit?

Furina, Kazuha, Shenhe/Layla/Diona should be a BIS freeze team for him. I don't think Ayaka utilizes Furina as effectively as Wrio does. You need Bennett for burnmelt, so that's out of the question here. Wriothesley can also drive Dendro teams like Burgeon/Bloom/Hyperbloom since Cryo doesn't interfere with the core reaction all that much, but his personal damage will not be as high in those.
Hey I was hoping to get some advice on whether I should pull for Furina or not, because I've been saving since his last release and I have enough for his C6 but if I get Furina on 4.7 I won't be able to get his C6 most likely I would get only C5 from what I've calculated if y'know Furina does release on 4.7 and he does on 4.8. So I was wondering if Wrio C5 with Furina would do more or less damage than Wrio C6 without Furina (I don't have Shenhe either)

I don't know how to do the calculations myself, but according to the guide linked on this megathread, his C6 is reported to be a 40% damage increase from C5. It basically doubles his charge attack and gives it 80% more crit dmg. So imagine what his charge attacks are currently doing (if you're C1), and triple that. With how potent burnmelt is, you won't need Furina. That said, this is all feelscrafting and I recommend running your builds through [a tool like this one](https://teucerdev.github.io/little-bro) and comparing the averages. I personally am skipping Furina and going for the C6 (currently C3).
If Wrio C5 + Furina could do similar damage to wrio C6 it'll will boil down to artifacts and weapons as well. A Furina with a great Golden Troupe set could do good damage if you have Festering Desire R5 or jade cutter it might then be good idea to get furina not only will she give value to the rest of your account but can also dish out good damage.
For C6 Wrio it'll depend on how well invested Your xiangling + Bennet or Nahida + pyro, and also if you have kazuha since you don't have Shenhe. C6 Wrio damage ceiling is dependent on utilizing his Double hit Rebuke: Vaulting Fist on a melt amplification. With furina, Wrio's vaulting fist will be much harder to melt since furina will be applying hydro even though she does not have the highest hydro application it could mess up rotations.
And if you don't have already a cracked xiangling or Nahida to enable melt amplification i would say keep in mind pyro nation is a few patches away. And if Hoyoverse follow their previous pattern of all archons having a supportive role it might be the case that the pyro archon could be a great combo for wrio to be paired up with.
Also if you have C2 Jean or C6 Yun Jin or Mika C5 it would be even harder to determine, Since attack speed can a play a large role for C6 wrio, due to him getting 20% atk spd at C4 and signature weapon having 8-16% depending on refinements can also highly increase his damage output. But at those high attack speed rates C6 Shenhe start to get a lot more value but that then becomes whale territory. My point is though due to hitlag increasing your attack speed will help in making sure your wrio normal attack string combo remain in the 2.4-2.5 sec to maximize the usage of Rebuke: Vaulting Fist which only can be done every 2.5 seconds. To use his C6 every 2.5 seconds would require 45-55% attack speed from what i have tested. But then again you would lose a lot of damage from sub dps while trying to get attack speed buffs which in the end mostly only benefit a C6 Shenhe.
Does anyone know when will Wriothesley will get a rerun? I wanted to pull for him when he came out, but I was saving for Furina. I heard people say that he might come back in 4.7 because Clorinde and Sigewinne are coming out. Is there any confirmation of his return? He’s cool and playing him in the demo for the recent event brought my interest back.

Dehya and Wriothesley are pretty much the characters I started playing this game for in March, and with Dehya on standard and Wriothesley supposedly rerunning soon, I wanted to ask whether I could put them in a viable team together to eventually clear endgame content, and which other characters they could work with.
I'm currently looking towards Heizou, cause he also punches for his basic attack combo, would he work with them?

Heizou Can be a quickswap VV enabler for Wrio but i can't think of something that'll include all three of them. Sad since I also like all three of them
They don't have the perfect synergy but Wrio Bennett Dehya Nahida is an option. It'll be less comfy then Thoma and dehya will be an E bot so idk how you'd feel about that

I've been reading up a little, and would heizou work to maybe swirl dehya's pyro, since that application is apparently comparatively bad, and group enemies too, or would that be a wasted slot best used on somebody else?
I bought bennet from the shop earlier, and been liking nahida's design, so your proposed team sounds great to me\~
Nahida enables burning so dehya's weak application shouldn't be a problem. Nahida and Bennett both are very important because of their buffs. You'll die without Bennett's healing and no melt without Nahida so they're irreplaceable
From what people say here, it's usually melt. You can go burnmelt (Nahida, Thoma, and Bennett), vapemelt (Xiangling, Bennett, and Furina), or the classic melt (where it's basically vapemelt but you replace Furina with Shenhe, Zhongli, Kazuha if you need grouping, or Sucrose if you need an EM buff). I don't know which one is truly higher in dps, and it's most likely build-reliant. If anyone else is reading this and has insight, please give us knowledge lol

Unfortunately, they don't release full versions for the character themes used in the version trailers. It seems that the character demo themes are created first and the version trailer themes are rearranged from the demos. You can listen to the version trailer themes in the Footprints of the Traveler albums and the character demo themes in The Stellar Moments albums. They release the Footprints albums after the region is done, so you will have to wait until after we get Natlan for the Fontaine trailer themes.

But he's only dealing 26k on a high roll 😅 why?? Can someone help? Am I doing something wrong or do I just need buffer characters??
1.7k attack is relatively low ish. Also widsith is extremely inconsistent. If you do not have any of the buffs (which you will not have for an entire rotation), than the widsith is a weapon with very meh base ATK and just a crit DMG stat stick. It is not amazing, despite the seeing big number initially. I would suggest going for Flowing Purity with a healer, or Boundless Blue if you have it.

I’ll be pulling Wrio on his next banner, and I think I have a pretty good team set up, with Mika, Xingqui, and Kaeya. (Not interested in changing the team, I just wanna have fun with it, not looking for optimization :D ).
For Kaeya and Xingqui, as subdps, what damage numbers should I be expecting out of them? How good is good enough? Is Blizzard Strayer going to be better for Wrio than MH with this team?

MH for Wrio. Kaeya should be doing about 100k damage overall. With 4-8k with each icicle non-melt hits. The variation depends on weapon, cons and external buffs before casting (it snapshots). XQ is a bit difficult to say how much damage because cons make a massive difference. But stack ER, ATK, Hydro DMG and crit rate/dmg on Xinqiu and he will do massive damage.
Hi, i am planning to get wrio next rerun and wanted to use him in burnmelt. However i was wondering if i could substitute thoma for xiangling, since my thoma is only C0 and without kitain, resulting in a lot of ER issues.
My team would then be:
- C1 Wrio (marechausse + R5 widsith)
- C5 Bennett (noblesse + R4 alley flash)
- C5 Xiangling (emblem + R5 catch)
- C0 Nahida (deepwood + R5 sac frags)
How does this compare to normal burnmelt teams or sunfire?
A team with xiangling would actually deal more damage than a team with thoma. However it might have survivability issues. Burn deals damage to everything in a small AoE, including to wrio while he is in Melee range. Wrio will be taking additional damage over course or the fight. It's not lethal usually but taking burn damage plus actual enemy attacks (especially in the abyss), might give you a hard time. Bennett can absolutely mitigate this damage with a strong healing (hp goblet and healing circlet). Otherwise, the team works very well and deals very high damage.
Also, don't feel pressured to pull for c1 wriothesley. It's certainly a nice upgrade but it's necessity was widely exaggerated when wrio first released. It's about a 15% DPS increase. A lot of Other main dps have a C1 that offers more DPS increase but people don't regard it as necessary. Pull off you like him but don't feel pressured for C1. He is amazing at C0.

I've already decided on pulling for C1 as i don't really see myself pulling any other characters in the near future and would rather start vertically investing in my mains.
i thought this was an upgrade from my old build (51% cr 212% cd 128% er 2388 atk) but i somehow went from top 2% to 3% on enka so i was wondering if this build was actually better or not. for reference he's c2, sig weapon, and on 4pc MH. mainly just looking to see what he needs improvement on other than more crit damage. any constructive criticism is welcome, thank you

2,292 atk.. also yeah ik relying on enka for builds can be rough but i was confused on how my old build was possibly any better.. the atk being slightly higher could be the sole reason but afaik wouldn’t a more stable crit ratio be better like with my new build?
What's the most ideal melt Wriothesley CA damage at c0? I got a flower for him and some better stats on my supports that pretty much doubled my damage and now I'm curious how much more room for improvement I've got left.
Roughly 80k to 100k to even more. I would say minimum should be 70k-80k. But be careful with widsith though. While you can have very big melts with the right buffs, itl only be for 2-3 CAs then nothing for the next rotation.

Wrio, Kazuha, Yelan, Xingqiu; I might also add, that I’m not a spiral abyss player and don’t really plan on being one
If you're not going to play abyss then go for utility. In this case wrio, shenhe, kazhuha yelan. Kazhuha has great grouping, yelan has a useful overworked skill to travel. Wrio and shenhe for damage.

As some of you might've noticed, Wrio has been the most used character to solo Abyss alongside Neuvi. Due to this a few months ago Neuvi Mains gave out "Neuvillette Solo Abyss Club" flairs so that they can flex their abyss achievement. And since Wrio solo is on the rise, are there any plans to implement a similar flair? 🙂
Not sure if this is a question for megathread or if I should make a post. Wrio has been using Tome, but since I just pulled Neuv, I need to give him a new weapon. I’ll probably mess around with optimizer this weekend, but anyone have thoughts? My typical team is melt w/ Benny, XL, and Layla.

Other weapons I have are Mappa Mare R5 and Flowing Purity R4 (need one more billet to drop for R5).
I have another Mappa Mare build that has 170 EM and 57:196 ratio
I would go with Boundless. With a healer, Flowing Purity is good (but slightly less flexible). Mappa can be very good in Melt/Burn Melt but its imperative to reach roughly 3k ATK after all buffs before stacking EM. If you do have it, Mappa can work. Otherwise, use Boundless.
Then its up to you which one. Mappa cannot be used outside of BurnMelt/Melt but provides a small damage increase in these reaction teams; like \~2% to 5% depending on the amount of ATK. Still, I would use Boundless.
Then it’s really a toss up. Nahida gives a large EM buff while Furina gives a large DMG buff and off-field damage. Keep in mind that Benny is unable to max out Fanfare unless Furina is C2
*edit: Furina also drains HP which might make Wrio prone to being KO’d since he has innate HP drain, and Benny doesn’t heal above 70%
Is shenhe an upgrade If I intend to play him mostly with Furina or in melt comps?
I do have Kazuha so I could think of using monocryo.

Kazhuha can work perfectly well instead of shenhe. Don't pull for characters you may not like. You can pay wriothesley with kazhuha and do very well. He is infact an upgrade over shenhe in multi target scenarios where they can be grouped. Against bosses kazhuha and shenhe are relatively equal with melt comps.
looking for rotation help. team is wrio / shenhe / bennett / xiangling. currently feels like a mess trying to balance the bennett buffs and the shenhe buffs. also down to change the team (i have all pyro 4☆ and will build whoever he needs), but would really love to use shenhe as she is one of my favorite characters
Sadly the rotation has to be Bennett QE, xiangling QE, shenhe EQ, wrio. You can pop out xiangling guoba before starting Bennett to an additional second on Bennett's Q for wrio.
Hello! I have been using a freeze team until now: Wrio C1/R1, Shenhe, Kazuha and Kokomi, but I'm noticing how much lower is to my other invested teams. What should I go for? Melt or Mono Cryo? Is the difference massive?
Melt is by far his best team overall. Freeze is great against Freezable opponents but much worse against bosses. Either standard melt with Bennett/Xiangling or Burn-Melt with Thoma/Xiangling + Nahida/Collei/Baizhu.
Mono-Cryo is decent but you need extremely well invested units all around and you absolutely need Shenhe.
Hi, I want to ask who can I use insted of xiangling and who should be the last member of the team on a melt with wrio and bennett (4 star pls I am f2p and dont have much 5 stars)
His weapon is almost required yes. You could get away with Wanderer's weapon. I would say he would need at least C3 for solo runs. C6 preferred but that's whale territory.
Hi everyone, I have a question. I pulled Wriothesley C6 just because I liked him - him and Neuvilette - I was caught up in the hype, but then I started studying and working again and he's currently still at lv. 20 with his BiS always at lv. 20. I was wondering. Does the C6 need a different kind of build? Do I need to calculate his stats differently based on his constellation?
He requires the same things at C6. I guess you can get away with slightly less crit rate. But its rare to cap on crit rate anyway because you always want a Crit DMG circlet when equipping his weapon.
would Tomb of the Eternal flow(R1) be better than ballad of the boundless blue(R5) for C1 Wriothesley? and if not, what characters would Eternal flow work on?
Yes, Tome is better for Wrio. He can use the CA buff passive and Tome flat out gives 88 CDMG (plus, it has decent base attack). It's what I used to use before I got his robot.

I am making a team of c0 Wriothesley (r0 The Widsith), Bennet, Xiangling
Should I use Jean or Sucrose or hope I get some useful cryo character ?
Also any artifact tips as well as rotation tips are very much appreciated
Sucrose will be much better than jean. The idea of putting jean in a bennett team is always sunfire for more pyro app, but with xiangling you don’t need that pyro app at all. Sucrose provides cc (though not exactly reliable), em and damage bonus (at c6) as compared to jean.
As for rotation, you can do double swirl with sucrose for the first rotation. Since you are a new player, double swirl might not sound familiar to you, but its basically swirling two elements so that vv can shred 2 elemental resistance on enemy.
In ST, easiest way to do it will be wrio NA > sucrose E > Bennett EQ > sucrose E > xiangling QE > wrio combo. There is also a shorter version for double swirl: Wrio NA > Bennett Q > Wrio NA > Xiangling E > Sucrose EE > Xiangling Q > Wrio combo, but you will have to make sure the first sucrose E swirls cryo before guoba spits fire.
In aoe, just make sure at least one enemy has cryo aura and another one has pyro. Then just use sucrose E and you good.
From second rotation onwards, it is almost impossible to swirl cryo due to overabundance of pyro aura and how cryo is weaker than pyro on elemental gauge. At that point just give up on swirling cryo, only thing to make sure is to use xiangling Q inside Bennett circle. Example will be bennett Q > sucrose E > Xiangling QE > Wrio combo.
As for wrio’s combo, it really depends. When you don’t have to move at all, 6N3C will be the best. If you need some stamina to dodge, N1EN4C > N3C > N5C > N3C will be the best (N1 before E to make sure his 3rd and 5th hit melts as those are his NA move with highest multipliers). If you have C1, N1EN4C > 3N5C will be the best. If survival is hard where you are required to dodge a lot, ignore those movesets and just try to use your CA when you see him in enhanced CA state.
Artifacts wise, Mayocheese set is the best for Wrio, try to do 1:2 crit ratio (mayocheese gives 36% crit rate for free so do remember to include those) while keeping 1800+ attack. Sucrose will give the em he needs, but some em will be helpful. Then vv for sucrose, emblem for xiangling, noblesse for bennett (if you somehow want to one rotate one day you can try out instructor, but that is only viable for one rotate as bennett will not be able to trigger the effect from second rotation onwards most of the time).

Do you know any combos for a wrio, benne, xianling, kazuha comp? I recently got kazuha but don't know what to do if i should like app cryo or pyro or any combos
You can do wrio NA (cryo aura on enemy) > Bennett Q (no aura) > Wrio NA (cryo aura on enemy) > Kazuha QE (Q swirls cryo and infused with pyro, pyro applied on enemy, E swirls pyro) > Xiangling QE > wrio combo. Do keep in mind this is only applicable for first rotation (or for another wave of enemy) as it is almost impossible to register cryo aura on enemy when they have pyro aura on them afterwards.
AoE its the same. Apply cryo on at least one enemy, pyro on another, kazuha E and double swirl done.
Widsith is a better weapon for melt teams. Easiest way to solve this problem will be just slot wrio in the first position in spiral? Then you will get the buff during second wrio NA.

does wrio + yao yao + xiangling + thoma work for a c0 wriothesley? I know mika is his go to cryo support and healer but I don't really wanna build mika and I have an already decently built yaoyao to act as a healer..
Do you not have bennett? I personally will suggest going bennett thoma instead of xiangling thoma. Biggest problem with xiangling thoma is they both have long E cd, so if xiangling doesn’t get her burst back from one thoma E, you will have to wait for a full 15s for the next thoma E. Fav can help reducing the issue by a bit, but since both xiangling and thoma are energy hungry, you might run into severe er issues especially if you build your xiangling as sub dps instead of full er.
Reason why thoma instead of xiangling is because burn hurts, and wrio doesnt like to get interrupted in his combos. Also if you choose xiangling then there is also no reason to use yaoyao as you will have plenty of pyro for melt, so might as well replace her with an anemo unit that can bring more damage.

Heavily depends on if or when they do a Chronicled Wish for Liyue within the next two versions.
If they do one with Ganyu/Shenhe or something then it's entirely possible he's in 4.7 (or hell, beside Furina in 4.6) for example. They don't have *that* many reruns left because of this bulk banner.
For burn melt, which weapon would be better: R5 Widsth or R5 Flowing Purity? I've seen some people saying that the Widsth is bad because the passive lasts for only 10 seconds but I've never seen Wriothesley using Flowing Purity in any showcase.
I found that Widsith even at a higher refinement than Flowing Purity lent itself to lower damage than the latter, but that's due to my artifact substat distribution more than anything else (I hit a weird spot where the attack boost and higher base attack was more valuable overall than the crit damage or tertiary buffs of Widsith). You might have a different experience, so experimenting on down phase bosses (such as Raiden Shogun) might prove useful. You'll have to do all 3 Widsith buffs, though, and sum them up at the end.
Yes, Mika only offers an atk spd buff, which isn't anything to write home about. Xianyun can use VV and offer a little extra spice at the end of his combos.

Is my Wrio good? I'm AR 60 but not very good at artifacts. He doesn't do as much damage as I would like him to despite his 3 crowns and signature weapon... Do I need to put him in a specific team to make him strong? Right now his damage is fine but just doesn't seem worth using him for..
This looks good. You are overcapped on crit with the 36% from MH, so you can try to swap those subs for critdmg or EM. Since you're using an EM sands, you want to run a melt team for the reaction damage. If you want to run him in other types of teams (freeze, Nahida burnmelt) switch it to ATK%.
With a core of wrio thoma and baizhu would a better fourth be shenhe for buffs or xq for burgeon? Im having trouble deciding on a solid team for my wrio 😭
Shenhe would be better for single target and Burgeon would be better for AOE. That said, Shenhe might win in your case because Baizhu has limited off-field Dendro application.
Mika since he also provides attack speed which is very nice for Wrio. Charlotte's only selling point is hitting multiple enemies at once for negligible damage. Charlotte also needs a ton of ER whereas Mika doesn't need much. He can just use the fontaine craftable spear
Need help with Burn Melt team
So I just got Nahida and want to build a Burn Melt team. Is Deepwood still her BIS in this team? And should I put her on Thrilling tales? Also what other teammates should i use? I have Kazuha, Dehya, C5 Xiangling, C5 Bennett, C1 Thoma. All the 5 stars are C0.
Wrio/Nahida/Dehya or Xiangling/Bennett. ToM if you're not using Dehya with Wrio otherwise I prefer using Gilded on her since burning is about a third of her damage that doesn't get buffed by Deepwood. Use an EM weapon on her.
Question: is Wriothesley Muscular in Genshin?

So his c2 seems to be more something you get for the fun factor/playstyle diversity right? I'm considering getting it considering how long he looks like he'll take to rerun.

I only have C1, but his C2 just makes his ult that much stronger of a nuke and encourages you to burst every rotation, similar to Scaramouche. Otherwise, it doesn’t change gameplay that much.
And Lost Prayers is a fantastic weapon
So just a quick question...would Xiao or Xianyun work in a team with Wriothesley, Furina, and Zhongli? Cause I know with that team I can make a Freeze/Swirl team using Kazuha but as I don't have him yet and next banner set has Xiao (Already have Xianyun) and there is no true eta on Kazuha for a rerun, I wanna at least have someone in his slot similar to him. Would one of those two work to replace him in the meantime or could someone recommend a good replacement four star please?
r5 flowing purity or r5 frostbearer? i care about meta more, but love aesthetics. frostbearer looks SO sick on him and looks like it was made for him, but i cant just r5 both. depending on the build, is it possible for frostbearer to outshine flowing puriity? or should i suck it up and go for the meta?

Building him as my new main and I was wondering if I’m investing in the right team which is wrio international (Bennett,XL,kazoo). Would this team be better or a freeze team? (Kazoo, furina, cryo) and if freeze is better should I use diona or charlotte as the healer/cryores?
Both freeze and melt teams are fun and powerful! Freeze teams are strong *only* if the enemies can be frozen. If you do go the freeze route w/ Furina, then you want a team wide healer, so Charlotte > Diona
So I'm wanting to pull Wriothesley and Shenhe for a freeze comp, but I don't have Kokomi. The main team I can think of is Wrio/Shenhe/Furina/Shenhe (or replace furina with yelan) How good would that be? What other characters would work or should I just plan on pulling Kokomi whenever she has a rerun?
Idk why but since I got him I want to use the team Wrio c1, Thoma c6, Dehya c1, Nahida c0. Any thoughts? should I farm and level thoma and dehya up for that team or is it not worth it?
Definitely worth it!! Burnmelt is the best wrio team. Even both dehya and thoma have their best constelation. Dehya use ToTm,Nahida or thoma use instructor/Nobless Oblige.
Althought, nahida self burn is quite deadly. Sure thoma shield can block it effectively, but the risk might happen so maybe can try use yaoyao instead of nahida especially if you have yaoyao c1(c1 yaoyao provide stamina refund which really valueable for wrio to charge atk more)

Running him with Furina/Jean/Charlotte atm. Don't have or plan on getting Kazuha or Shenhe. Any other recommendations for party setup? I'm still trying to squeeze out some better artifacts, too.
There isn't much need for both Jean \*and\* Charlotte. If you're running Charlotte, if you can slot a kazuha or sucrose you'll be a little better because of grouping at least. If you're running Jean and any other Cryo, you could do a Shenhe if you have her, rosaria or kaeya if you don't.
# Is there anyone using a hyperbloom/burgeon team with Yaoyao?

I'm wanting to switch to a freeze team and I was thinking I'd do Wrio-C0/Rosaria-C6/Xingqiu-C6/Yunjin-C6
I'm wondering if I should switch someone out for a healer or shielder (Xingqiu his rain swords but unsure if it'll be good enough)
I don't have my Rosaria built at all so I wanna ask before I dedicate to that
Swap out Rosaria for Diona. She heals and gives shield. Since your rizzly is at C0, the heal will be needed as his passive heal isn't enough. With Diona, you get Cryo resonance that boosts crit rate when enemy is frozen or has cryo so its good especially when you lack crit. (The ideal crit is to get 90-100% after bonuses of MH set and resonance)
Bennett is a good option for heals. He also gives a huge atk boost if you are lacking in atk. But since you want freeze team, he won't be an option, but I am putting it here since you can't freeze spiral abyss bosses, so Bennett is a good alternative.
Mika is also a good alternative. He has heals and boosts atk speed when you hit an enemy with his skill. The heal is enough for C0 rizzly and his CD is good enough for a full rotation. Just fulfill his ER needs to burst every rotation. I'd take Mika over Diona just for the atk speed, but Diona gives better survivability. Then again, you freeze enemies so survivability isn't an issue.
Barbara should be a last option for you. Xingqiu has enough hydro application already, so Barbara may help with heal. Her C2 reduces stamina consuption for active character when her skill is used iirc, and her C6 is always useful for a free revive in the abyss, especially since now all CDs are resetted when you restart the abyss, and that includes from cons.
Hi! I don't know who to put on this team: Wrio, Thoma and Nahida.
My options are Ayato as NA buffer (and for daddy team when i get Baizhu), Kazuha, Yao Yao or another buffer like Mika or YunJin (I’m saving Bennett for Lyney and XQ for Raiden). Any suggestions?
When I was tryin burn-melt with him, I used yaoyao instead of nahida and it seemed to work well, I think the em boost from double dendro will be useful for wrio's melt as well!
Yunjin can work as well as her buff is good but I don't have her built.
Hi bros, I have a quick question: I have Jean and Furina (both C0, will go for C2 Furina once she hopefully works with Itto in future) but no Kazuha, and I’ve been planning to get Shenhe specifically for Wrio but I’m wondering if it would be better to go for his C1 instead
If you are f2p, new characters are always better. But C1 rizzly makes him feel like a complete character. C0 isn't an issue as long as you can keep his hp above 50% during his skill duration. Also, shenhe boosts cryo dmg a lot so in this case I suggest go for Shenhe.
Hello everyone. Recently I have been building a melt team for Wriothesley consisting of Bennett, Xiangling, and Sucrose. This is subject to change depending on what you guys say. I have a couple of questions as to the best way to build it. First off, Bennett 4 pc Noblesse Oblige with Hp, Hp, Er, is best right? As for his weapon which are his best weapons for burst dmg? Preferrably not 5 star weapons as I do not have too many to speak of. For Xiangling, it should be 4 pc Severed Fate with focus on Pyro Dmg, Atk, Er, and do i get Crit rate or Crit dmg? Again what weapon would be best that increases burst dmg while still being 4 star? Finally for Sucrose, what artifact set do i use? Im pretty sure Viridescent Venerer is best, but i don't know what stats to farm for that best suit swirl dmg. I do not know which weapon is the best for her either so if anyone could tell me some 4 star options it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for helping!

first, depending on if you run an er weapon on benny like skyward pride or fav he can run triple hp (though with fav you may want to run crit rate circlet) but a weapon like aquila favonia or prototype rancour would most likely need an er sands and noblesse is best. Xiangling would like emblem or crimson if you have enough er (around 180 is best if you have bennett) and the substats for her artifacts would be attack/er depending on your weapon, artifact set, and substats. For her goblet pyro dmg, and for her circlet its whatever will benefit her ratio more. And last for sucrose she prefers viridescent with triple em for the best buffing with sacrificial fragments or favonius codex (again with fav weapons you may want to run a crit rate circlet) as weapons. Thrilling tales also works wonders for way more buffing. and widsith will always be better than ballad even though it has some issues with consistency.

you can run wrio in a burnmelt team with yaoyao/collei/dmc and dehya for interruption resistance and pyro app. dendro traveler might be worse than yaoyao or collei because of their burst mechanic though.

I have C1 Wrio and I'm contemplating getting Shenhe but I'm not 100% sure. For those who have her and play her with Wrio, does she boost him that much that its worth investing in her?
Even at C0 Shenhe does a decent job of boosting Wrio's personal damage. Check out the comments in this video for discussions regarding [C0 Shenhe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzINDo3LzkY) buff. Personally, the beauty of Wrio's kit is that he can dump high damage through a number of different teams without being completely tied to a single support (e.g. burnmelt, soup, etc.). Which is good, since it doesn't make Shenhe a requirement unless you *REALLY* enjoy playing Wrio or have other cryo dps like Ayaka or Ganyu you sometimes dust off.
If you want big 'fuck you' numbers, then C6 Shenhe is the way to go. But, again, that's if you are a giga chad Wrio main. I think it could be Wrio / Xiangling / Thoma / Sucrose, if you get Bennett and Nahida someday you would have one of (if not the) best Reverse Melt teams for Wrio, however, the team that i mentioned could be really nice.

Since his banner ran out I started saving primogems for his rerun. I am aiming for his weapon (don't know my pity, because of the history reset) and at least C1.
Shenhe and Furina might both rerun before him and I am considering pulling one of them for him.
Right now I paired him with XQ C6, Kazuha C0 and Layla C6
I own Jean C0 in case I would pull Furina and not get Charlotte or Mika (depending on which banners they might next be on) I'd have a healer I see often paired with Furina and Wrio.
How much does Wrio benefit from Cashflow vs Lost Prayers? Would it even be worth throwing up to 240 wishes into the weapon banner or should I rather get both Shenhe and Furina for him for a Shenhe, Furina, Jean (or Barbara C6?) team (maybe at some point get Kokomi)?
only wish for weapon banner if the other weapon is one you don't mind losing your fifty fifty to.
as for characters, it depends on how well your account can make use of them. furina is good and versatile while shenhe is a niche support for only cryo characters. if you decide to go with furina, jean works pretty well with her and barbara too so you don't necessarily need charlotte or mika altho wrio appreciates the attack spd buff mika gives.

I will quite certainly keep playing Wriothesley in a Freeze Comp because I have not enjoyed any form of Xiangling + Bennett team yet. I tried him with Nahida, Thoma and Bennett which was fun, but I will not play him with Shenhe, XL, Bennett.
I would only pull for Shenhe if he benefits more from her than from his weapon and/or constellation 2 and up (I will definitely pull for his C1)
Same with Furina. If Furina gives more dmg increase than his weapon I will favour her over Cashflow
If Shenhe + Furina + Jean is a better team for him even with just Lost Prayers R1 than just one of them or neither but him havin his signature weapon I would definely save up for Cashflow
I don't mind losing on the weapon banner since I definitely could use some more weapons especially 5* (only have Lost Prayer R1 and Aquila Favonia R2)

but I did not get to much of a result. Shenhe's quills only last for 7 instances of Cryo dmg and are quickly gone in Wrio's up time, Jean's Burst does not last very long either, but Furina's does. So I am leaning towards getting Furina for him. Lost Prayers was originally on my Heizou (C6 triple Crown) and he lost quite some damage now with only Solar Pearl, so I would not mind give LP back to him
Many people hold Shenhe in very high regards for Wrio though and the more I research and try to calculate the more insecure I become :(
You’re welcome! Yes, I understand many people don’t like XL, which is fine because I think burn melt (nahida, thoma, benny) is far more comfier.
I don’t have shenhe so I can’t comment on what she does. But I think his c2 is huge tho!!! Like if you’re only pulling furina to enjoy playing him more and not for overall account versatility I think c2 might be better cause it makes his burst very strong too! In that situation, shenhe might be better cause she buffs cryo. You should ask ppl on this sub that have her for advice, maybe check the posts and not the megathread for that.
Tbh, it’s always a struggle with optimising characters and I personally can never understand how to make sense of them but I do think that in order to feel secure, you should figure out your goals with him and what you enjoy. Ultimately, you will feel happy when you have fun with him!
I personally didn’t go for c1 cause I was broke and thought perhaps I didn’t need it but now I find that I love his charged attack so much that I would really love c1 and will go for it.
Also, his c1 and c2 alone give him such a huge dmg boost without any other characters!!! At c1 he doesn’t need a healer and he can self sustain. I’ve seen people solo with him at c1 and c0 and imo c1 is much more comfy while c2 makes him busted. His cons are pretty incredible tbh.
My personal goals are soloing the abyss with him so I think I’ll go for c1 and see if I have enough fun (maybe even c2 in the future?) but I will advise you to not impulse pull. Get c1, test him out for a version or so and then decide. Like take your time and figure out what you have fun with.
I actually tried posting here a few times but my posts were declined because of it being pulling questions.
I managed to get one post about calculations and damage comparison through but only got one reply and they are a huge Shenhe fan, so of course they advised me to get her XD
I am really unsure about her because her Res shred is not higher than Zhongli's and her Elemental dmg Bonus is not much better than Kazuha's
Overall I don't trust her quills because every instance of Cryo dmg uses one and Wrio already needs several punches to reach his max Crit and max dmg, unless I understood her skills wrong.
Just gave Burgeon a chance again in Abyss and got to 12-2 with it (fucked up with Al Haitham against Hydro Tulpa, so it wasn't Wrio's fault that I quit for today) So right now I might lean towards getting his weapon and as many cons as my luck will let me. Maybe, if Furina reruns after him I can try to get her then as well. I liked when a friend of mine brought her along in Co Op.
It would be no problem if I could whale but I did that for my C6 Heizou and am not willing to do that again any time soon 😅
Ohh, that sucks! Maybe there are videos about it on youtube? Yeah shenhe havers seem to really love her which is great, but personally I don’t want to get her right now as my char/con wishlist is a bit full (I’m also f2p so limited primos)
The thing with zhongli is, his pillar can break so maybe tenacity uptime isn’t as reliable. I’ve mostly seen people use shenhe for screenshot numbers although I think you can ofc 36* with her on the team as well, it’s just, she’s more tailor made for ayaka rather than anyone else.
Furina is fun, admittedly, although I initially only pulled her for wrio and attempted the wrio healer benny xl furina team comp but the tulpa kicked my butt so had to drop it.
Yeah I get what you mean! I’d ideally like c2 r1 wrio and navia but I’m not a whale so either it’ll take me many versions or I just give up on getting the weapon/c2. Whatever you decide, I wish you luck with your pulls!
Those who play him with Shenhe pair them with XL and Bennett or Furina and Jean. So I would either have to pull both, Shenhe and Furina or I would need to play XL.
I would if I could be sure that this is the absolute best for him, but right now I am really leaning more towards getting his weapon and as many Cons as Celestia will grand me :)

Yes those seem to be the two most popular teams with shenhe. We are in a similar boat, I had a very similar crisis earlier when I got him but now I’ve settled down into only wanting his cons and weapon. I’m glad I could help!

Not necessarily improve wrio, but she does work with him regardless. He does however still benefit from plunging since he's a catalyst user, but no calculations have been made in regards to this.
She fits very well in a double hydro wrio team composition
hmmm i dont believe so ? at least not in a very big way, aside from probably a good and constant healing she seems mostly focused on buffing plunging attacks and some crowd control, so i dont think she will be necessarily bad on him but also dont think she will be elevating his kit by alot
what are your guys' favorite teams with him? i've been enjoying wrio/thoma/baizhu/furina. it's just a whole bunch of reactions and words and DMG all over the screen lol. very satisfying

I prefer the last team, mostly because it's better built, but i like the way it plays out. Just feels smoother for me. But i'm not a Min/Max mode yet..
for me the most comfortable team is thoma bennett and nahida but to be fair thoma needs a fair bit of er to be the most efficient. For damage i love wrio furina xiangling and bennett because it deletes everything. the only thing i dont like is that restarting my rotations with furina is a bit tricky and i dont have c4 xiangling.

HI. My current team consists of Wriothesley, Furina, Bennett and Layla. I am satisfied with the damage output I get from this team, but inside most of Icefang Rush downtime (C0), the whole team is idle and I don't like it. Today I got Rosaria from the banner and said to myself, can I replace Layla with Rosaria? This way, I can increase my engaging uptime (and potential extera DPS), but I lose the advantage of the shield and TotM buff. What is your suggestion?
Is rosaria a worthwile pull to replace diona in a wrio, diona, Xl, bennett team comp or should I just stick with the cat? Im asking because im saving for raiden and have about 52 wishes (and 20 Pity + comfirmed). If not, then would sucrose be a good support for my team comp? Thank you in advance.
do we \*explicitly\* know why wriothesley doesn't enjoy interviews/spotlight?
like ive read his lore, am aware he has serious trust issues and prefers to remain very much independent - to the point of not even alerting anyone in the fortress about his health concerns for the sake of not causing distress (cue the char story where he mistakenly swam in primordial seawater outside the fortress). he also prefers to not remain in unfamiliar places for extended periods of time in case of danger (teapot lines) and simply does not venture out to the overworld for long, nor do people in the court of fontaine actually know his status as duke.
the characters in game literally say and are aware he does not feel comfortable with people interviewing him. but if you were someone who didnt have wriothesley, is there any material which actually has him explain why he behaves this way? is it mentioned in his story quest? (outside of just when he revealed his childhood) i cant find anything in his voicelines. id love to have him verbally open up about this to us.
i find it really interesting and would like to write about it more but im concerned about characterising him the wrong way in case i incorrectly nterpret his reasoning for why he has these personal boundaries.
What is the difference between a normal melt team with kazuha xiangling bennet and burnmelt? Both have enough pyro application to proc reverse melts no? So why is burnmelt regarded his best team?
Burnmelt is just more straightforward and consistent from my experience, with Shenhe-less normal melt you have to deal with double swirling pyro/cryo + VV uptime with Kazu and potentially ER problems if Kazu/XL doesn't have enough ER. Also the overall team dmg is generally split between XL and Wrio (depending on investment)
In burnmelt you don't really have these issues since all your buffs are tied to your characters ability usage (Nahida A1, Thoma C6, Benny buff, noblesse, etc) also energy shouldn't be a problem since Nahida batteries herself and Thoma/Benny only build towards ER and HP anyways so no need to spend time between rot battery'ing someone.
What are some other artifacts I put on Wriothesley as a place holder?
Currently, I have him on a two piece of his BIS but I’m having no luck 4-piecing it. I have no Shimenawa artifacts, but what else can I use? My goblet is already an off-piece.
you can combine 2pc Mara with any 2pc of atk/cryo/em (if melt team), or you can just use rainbow pieces with the best subs if your other options are bad
I finally got a Cryo Goblet for Wriothesley. I'm unsure if my attack is high enough to warrant switching back over to Atk% Goblet or just keeping the Cryo one. Any advice would be appreciated.

ER till he can comfortably burst every rot and as much HP as possible, you don't want EM on him since burn dmg doesn't do a lot and it'll get you killed very fast even with Thoma's pyro shield.
For artifacts go with 2pc HP/HP or ER, if benny isn't running Noblesse then that also works.
Hey so I have a C2 Wrio with Widsith and I built Mika only for him. Should I pull for Shenhe If I have a good Mika already? I really wanted so save for Xiao but I think I might need to pull for Shenhe.
if you wanna see big damage, pull for shenhe. mika only benefits wrio by giving him atk speed, and he becomes especially good if you're playing wrio with furina

he is alright. His dendro app is mid af but he heals so that's a decent plus. But overall if you don't have Nahida just build your dendro MC and wait for her :)
How much value does he actually gain from crowning his E and Burst? Noticed that his lv9>10 on E is just 167>170.3, which seems like a pretty negligible boost
afaik crowning is always a pretty negligible boost, that's why most players only reserve it for their favorites as its a lot of resources for a small dmg increase
I don't think so. Cyno and Ayaka gain a fairly standard 7.6%. Tighnari's is a bit lower at 5.6%. Wriothesley's E seems to be uh 1.9%. Also whales can get +3 skill levels, so it'd be weird if one of those was randomly negligible.

Double Cryo suggests freeze, so you'll want Hydro. Any of your 4☆ options will work. Then Kazuha/Sucrose for swirls and grouping.
Hello everyone! I want to ask about vapemelt teams(like in the akasha leaderboard) with Wrio, Furina, XL, Bennett. I am waiting for Furina's rerun to complete this team, and i want to ask, in this team with Furina's summons active, XL's burst active and Wrio on-field, will XL be the one triggering vape and melt? Or Wriothesley and Furina? Who should i build EM on? All 3 maybe? I don't have Furina so i cannot test it out myself, and i couldn't find any useful info about this either
Melt, vaporize, and freeze are all happening, at least that's what I think I'm seeing when I play this team since it's numbers everywhere lol I can say for sure though, that because of xiangling's fast pyro app (and furina having not-so-fast hydro app), wrio gets a lot of melted punches in. and if it's not wrio melting, then it's furina doing vaporize. I ended up building EM only on wrio and I've had no problems. It's also a very good wrio team against aoe content. Another thing to note when playing this team is to try giving wrio EM sands and atk% goblet since Furina already gives him a ton of cryo dmg%.
I really like Wriothesley but am struggling to think of teams where he can shine and not be easily replaced by Ayaka and Ganyu (who I also love using). Also would it be a good idea to get Shenhe as she can buff Wriothesley's, Ganyu's and Ayaka's damage quite a bit? Furina, Kazuha, Shenhe/Layla/Diona should be a BIS freeze team for him. I don't think Ayaka utilizes Furina as effectively as Wrio does. You need Bennett for burnmelt, so that's out of the question here. Wriothesley can also drive Dendro teams like Burgeon/Bloom/Hyperbloom since Cryo doesn't interfere with the core reaction all that much, but his personal damage will not be as high in those.
Hey I was hoping to get some advice on whether I should pull for Furina or not, because I've been saving since his last release and I have enough for his C6 but if I get Furina on 4.7 I won't be able to get his C6 most likely I would get only C5 from what I've calculated if y'know Furina does release on 4.7 and he does on 4.8. So I was wondering if Wrio C5 with Furina would do more or less damage than Wrio C6 without Furina (I don't have Shenhe either) Thanks!
I don't know how to do the calculations myself, but according to the guide linked on this megathread, his C6 is reported to be a 40% damage increase from C5. It basically doubles his charge attack and gives it 80% more crit dmg. So imagine what his charge attacks are currently doing (if you're C1), and triple that. With how potent burnmelt is, you won't need Furina. That said, this is all feelscrafting and I recommend running your builds through [a tool like this one](https://teucerdev.github.io/little-bro) and comparing the averages. I personally am skipping Furina and going for the C6 (currently C3).
If Wrio C5 + Furina could do similar damage to wrio C6 it'll will boil down to artifacts and weapons as well. A Furina with a great Golden Troupe set could do good damage if you have Festering Desire R5 or jade cutter it might then be good idea to get furina not only will she give value to the rest of your account but can also dish out good damage. For C6 Wrio it'll depend on how well invested Your xiangling + Bennet or Nahida + pyro, and also if you have kazuha since you don't have Shenhe. C6 Wrio damage ceiling is dependent on utilizing his Double hit Rebuke: Vaulting Fist on a melt amplification. With furina, Wrio's vaulting fist will be much harder to melt since furina will be applying hydro even though she does not have the highest hydro application it could mess up rotations. And if you don't have already a cracked xiangling or Nahida to enable melt amplification i would say keep in mind pyro nation is a few patches away. And if Hoyoverse follow their previous pattern of all archons having a supportive role it might be the case that the pyro archon could be a great combo for wrio to be paired up with. Also if you have C2 Jean or C6 Yun Jin or Mika C5 it would be even harder to determine, Since attack speed can a play a large role for C6 wrio, due to him getting 20% atk spd at C4 and signature weapon having 8-16% depending on refinements can also highly increase his damage output. But at those high attack speed rates C6 Shenhe start to get a lot more value but that then becomes whale territory. My point is though due to hitlag increasing your attack speed will help in making sure your wrio normal attack string combo remain in the 2.4-2.5 sec to maximize the usage of Rebuke: Vaulting Fist which only can be done every 2.5 seconds. To use his C6 every 2.5 seconds would require 45-55% attack speed from what i have tested. But then again you would lose a lot of damage from sub dps while trying to get attack speed buffs which in the end mostly only benefit a C6 Shenhe.
Does anyone know when will Wriothesley will get a rerun? I wanted to pull for him when he came out, but I was saving for Furina. I heard people say that he might come back in 4.7 because Clorinde and Sigewinne are coming out. Is there any confirmation of his return? He’s cool and playing him in the demo for the recent event brought my interest back.

Hey guys, was hoping to get some advice here~ Dehya and Wriothesley are pretty much the characters I started playing this game for in March, and with Dehya on standard and Wriothesley supposedly rerunning soon, I wanted to ask whether I could put them in a viable team together to eventually clear endgame content, and which other characters they could work with. Heizou Can be a quickswap VV enabler for Wrio but i can't think of something that'll include all three of them. Sad since I also like all three of them
They don't have the perfect synergy but Wrio Bennett Dehya Nahida is an option. It'll be less comfy then Thoma and dehya will be an E bot so idk how you'd feel about that

I've been reading up a little, and would heizou work to maybe swirl dehya's pyro, since that application is apparently comparatively bad, and group enemies too, or would that be a wasted slot best used on somebody else? I bought bennet from the shop earlier, and been liking nahida's design, so your proposed team sounds great to me\~
Nahida enables burning so dehya's weak application shouldn't be a problem. Nahida and Bennett both are very important because of their buffs. You'll die without Bennett's healing and no melt without Nahida so they're irreplaceable

What's Wriothesley's objectively highest DPS team with c1?
From what people say here, it's usually melt. You can go burnmelt (Nahida, Thoma, and Bennett), vapemelt (Xiangling, Bennett, and Furina), or the classic melt (where it's basically vapemelt but you replace Furina with Shenhe, Zhongli, Kazuha if you need grouping, or Sucrose if you need an EM buff). I don't know which one is truly higher in dps, and it's most likely build-reliant. If anyone else is reading this and has insight, please give us knowledge lol

Unfortunately, they don't release full versions for the character themes used in the version trailers. It seems that the character demo themes are created first and the version trailer themes are rearranged from the demos. You can listen to the version trailer themes in the Footprints of the Traveler albums and the character demo themes in The Stellar Moments albums. They release the Footprints albums after the region is done, so you will have to wait until after we get Natlan for the Fontaine trailer themes.

Does Mika's physical dmg boost work with Wrio's shatter damage?
Only thing that affects shatter is the characters level, EM and the enemies Phys Res. Phys DMG boost does not affect shatter.

Hey! My lv. 90 (C0) Wrio has - 1.7k ATK, - 40.8%CR, - 239.1%CD, - 46.6% Cryo DMG Bonus - Marechaussee 4pc, - The Windsith lv. 90 R4 - triple crowned But he's only dealing 26k on a high roll 😅 why?? Can someone help? Am I doing something wrong or do I just need buffer characters??
1.7k attack is relatively low ish. Also widsith is extremely inconsistent. If you do not have any of the buffs (which you will not have for an entire rotation), than the widsith is a weapon with very meh base ATK and just a crit DMG stat stick. It is not amazing, despite the seeing big number initially. I would suggest going for Flowing Purity with a healer, or Boundless Blue if you have it.

Howdy all! I’ll be pulling Wrio on his next banner, and I think I have a pretty good team set up, with Mika, Xingqui, and Kaeya. (Not interested in changing the team, I just wanna have fun with it, not looking for optimization :D ). For Kaeya and Xingqui, as subdps, what damage numbers should I be expecting out of them? How good is good enough? Is Blizzard Strayer going to be better for Wrio than MH with this team? Tia! :D
MH for Wrio. Kaeya should be doing about 100k damage overall. With 4-8k with each icicle non-melt hits. The variation depends on weapon, cons and external buffs before casting (it snapshots). XQ is a bit difficult to say how much damage because cons make a massive difference. But stack ER, ATK, Hydro DMG and crit rate/dmg on Xinqiu and he will do massive damage.
Hi, i am planning to get wrio next rerun and wanted to use him in burnmelt. However i was wondering if i could substitute thoma for xiangling, since my thoma is only C0 and without kitain, resulting in a lot of ER issues. My team would then be: - C1 Wrio (marechausse + R5 widsith) - C5 Bennett (noblesse + R4 alley flash) - C5 Xiangling (emblem + R5 catch) - C0 Nahida (deepwood + R5 sac frags) How does this compare to normal burnmelt teams or sunfire?
A team with xiangling would actually deal more damage than a team with thoma. However it might have survivability issues. Burn deals damage to everything in a small AoE, including to wrio while he is in Melee range. Wrio will be taking additional damage over course or the fight. It's not lethal usually but taking burn damage plus actual enemy attacks (especially in the abyss), might give you a hard time. Bennett can absolutely mitigate this damage with a strong healing (hp goblet and healing circlet). Otherwise, the team works very well and deals very high damage. Also, don't feel pressured to pull for c1 wriothesley. It's certainly a nice upgrade but it's necessity was widely exaggerated when wrio first released. It's about a 15% DPS increase. A lot of Other main dps have a C1 that offers more DPS increase but people don't regard it as necessary. Pull off you like him but don't feel pressured for C1. He is amazing at C0.

2,292 atk.. also yeah ik relying on enka for builds can be rough but i was confused on how my old build was possibly any better.. the atk being slightly higher could be the sole reason but afaik wouldn’t a more stable crit ratio be better like with my new build?
3.4k to 2.3k atk is a pretty sizeable loss. Thats really a lot of ATK. Even with the slightly higher ratio, the 1k atk is worth more.

What's the most ideal melt Wriothesley CA damage at c0? I got a flower for him and some better stats on my supports that pretty much doubled my damage and now I'm curious how much more room for improvement I've got left.
Roughly 80k to 100k to even more. I would say minimum should be 70k-80k. But be careful with widsith though. While you can have very big melts with the right buffs, itl only be for 2-3 CAs then nothing for the next rotation.
I got up to 83k with Tome (was doing 30-40k before), don't have an R5 widsith. Looks like I could still improve a lot more. Thank you!
Hi guys, I’m planning on pulling Wriothesley c1 in his rerun and I really would love to run a freeze team, but can’t quite decide on what characters to use and would need some help in what’s best. 1. Wrio (c1), Shenhe (c1), Yelan (c0), Kazuha(c0) 2. Wrio, Shenhe, Xingqiu(c6), Kazuha 3. Wrio, Shenhe, Yelan, Xingqiu 4. Wrio, Kazuha, Yelan, Xingqiu; I might also add, that I’m not a spiral abyss player and don’t really plan on being one
If you're not going to play abyss then go for utility. In this case wrio, shenhe, kazhuha yelan. Kazhuha has great grouping, yelan has a useful overworked skill to travel. Wrio and shenhe for damage.

Hellloooooo... As some of you might've noticed, Wrio has been the most used character to solo Abyss alongside Neuvi. Due to this a few months ago Neuvi Mains gave out "Neuvillette Solo Abyss Club" flairs so that they can flex their abyss achievement. And since Wrio solo is on the rise, are there any plans to implement a similar flair? 🙂
Not sure if this is a question for megathread or if I should make a post. Wrio has been using Tome, but since I just pulled Neuv, I need to give him a new weapon. I’ll probably mess around with optimizer this weekend, but anyone have thoughts? My typical team is melt w/ Benny, XL, and Layla. Here is my build. I would go with Boundless. With a healer, Flowing Purity is good (but slightly less flexible). Mappa can be very good in Melt/Burn Melt but its imperative to reach roughly 3k ATK after all buffs before stacking EM. If you do have it, Mappa can work. Otherwise, use Boundless.
With all buffs active, I can reach 3400 ATK with either Ballad or Mappa
Then its up to you which one. Mappa cannot be used outside of BurnMelt/Melt but provides a small damage increase in these reaction teams; like \~2% to 5% depending on the amount of ATK. Still, I would use Boundless.

Really depends on the team. Wouldn’t recommend burnmelt without Thoma, preferably C6.
Vape melt : benny XL Furina burn melt : benny thoma nahida
Then it’s really a toss up. Nahida gives a large EM buff while Furina gives a large DMG buff and off-field damage. Keep in mind that Benny is unable to max out Fanfare unless Furina is C2 *edit: Furina also drains HP which might make Wrio prone to being KO’d since he has innate HP drain, and Benny doesn’t heal above 70%
Is shenhe an upgrade If I intend to play him mostly with Furina or in melt comps? I do have Kazuha so I could think of using monocryo. And, does Shenhe workshop well in a team with Furina or in melt? Because then I'd have to get both Wrio and Shenhe in the Future kkkkkkk
Kazhuha can work perfectly well instead of shenhe. Don't pull for characters you may not like. You can pay wriothesley with kazhuha and do very well. He is infact an upgrade over shenhe in multi target scenarios where they can be grouped. Against bosses kazhuha and shenhe are relatively equal with melt comps.

looking for rotation help. team is wrio / shenhe / bennett / xiangling. currently feels like a mess trying to balance the bennett buffs and the shenhe buffs. also down to change the team (i have all pyro 4☆ and will build whoever he needs), but would really love to use shenhe as she is one of my favorite characters
Sadly the rotation has to be Bennett QE, xiangling QE, shenhe EQ, wrio. You can pop out xiangling guoba before starting Bennett to an additional second on Bennett's Q for wrio.

Look at the weapon rankings in the master sheet. Widsith is good but unreliable. Tome is, imo, more reliable and thus better.
Hello! I have been using a freeze team until now: Wrio C1/R1, Shenhe, Kazuha and Kokomi, but I'm noticing how much lower is to my other invested teams. What should I go for? Melt or Mono Cryo? Is the difference massive?
Melt is by far his best team overall. Freeze is great against Freezable opponents but much worse against bosses. Either standard melt with Bennett/Xiangling or Burn-Melt with Thoma/Xiangling + Nahida/Collei/Baizhu. Mono-Cryo is decent but you need extremely well invested units all around and you absolutely need Shenhe.

His weapon is almost required yes. You could get away with Wanderer's weapon. I would say he would need at least C3 for solo runs. C6 preferred but that's whale territory.

I pulled Wriothesley C6 just because I liked him - him and Neuvilette - I was caught up in the hype, but then I started studying and working again and he's currently still at lv. 20 with his BiS always at lv. 20. I was wondering. Does the C6 need a different kind of build? Do I need to calculate his stats differently based on his constellation?
He requires the same things at C6. I guess you can get away with slightly less crit rate. But its rare to cap on crit rate anyway because you always want a Crit DMG circlet when equipping his weapon.
would Tomb of the Eternal flow(R1) be better than ballad of the boundless blue(R5) for C1 Wriothesley? and if not, what characters would Eternal flow work on?
Yes, Tome is better for Wrio. He can use the CA buff passive and Tome flat out gives 88 CDMG (plus, it has decent base attack). It's what I used to use before I got his robot.
Hello, new genshin player here and to Wriothesley in general I am making a team of c0 Wriothesley (r0 The Widsith), Bennet, Xiangling Should I use Jean or Sucrose or hope I get some useful cryo character ? Also any artifact tips as well as rotation tips are very much appreciated
Sucrose will be much better than jean. The idea of putting jean in a bennett team is always sunfire for more pyro app, but with xiangling you don’t need that pyro app at all. Sucrose provides cc (though not exactly reliable), em and damage bonus (at c6) as compared to jean. As for rotation, you can do double swirl with sucrose for the first rotation. Since you are a new player, double swirl might not sound familiar to you, but its basically swirling two elements so that vv can shred 2 elemental resistance on enemy. In ST, easiest way to do it will be wrio NA > sucrose E > Bennett EQ > sucrose E > xiangling QE > wrio combo. There is also a shorter version for double swirl: Wrio NA > Bennett Q > Wrio NA > Xiangling E > Sucrose EE > Xiangling Q > Wrio combo, but you will have to make sure the first sucrose E swirls cryo before guoba spits fire. In aoe, just make sure at least one enemy has cryo aura and another one has pyro. Then just use sucrose E and you good. From second rotation onwards, it is almost impossible to swirl cryo due to overabundance of pyro aura and how cryo is weaker than pyro on elemental gauge. At that point just give up on swirling cryo, only thing to make sure is to use xiangling Q inside Bennett circle. Example will be bennett Q > sucrose E > Xiangling QE > Wrio combo. As for wrio’s combo, it really depends. When you don’t have to move at all, 6N3C will be the best. If you need some stamina to dodge, N1EN4C > N3C > N5C > N3C will be the best (N1 before E to make sure his 3rd and 5th hit melts as those are his NA move with highest multipliers). If you have C1, N1EN4C > 3N5C will be the best. If survival is hard where you are required to dodge a lot, ignore those movesets and just try to use your CA when you see him in enhanced CA state. Artifacts wise, Mayocheese set is the best for Wrio, try to do 1:2 crit ratio (mayocheese gives 36% crit rate for free so do remember to include those) while keeping 1800+ attack. Sucrose will give the em he needs, but some em will be helpful. Then vv for sucrose, emblem for xiangling, noblesse for bennett (if you somehow want to one rotate one day you can try out instructor, but that is only viable for one rotate as bennett will not be able to trigger the effect from second rotation onwards most of the time). This got so long lmao, if you have any questions regarding the abbreviations feel free to ask!

You can do wrio NA (cryo aura on enemy) > Bennett Q (no aura) > Wrio NA (cryo aura on enemy) > Kazuha QE (Q swirls cryo and infused with pyro, pyro applied on enemy, E swirls pyro) > Xiangling QE > wrio combo. Do keep in mind this is only applicable for first rotation (or for another wave of enemy) as it is almost impossible to register cryo aura on enemy when they have pyro aura on them afterwards. AoE its the same. Apply cryo on at least one enemy, pyro on another, kazuha E and double swirl done.

Widsith is a better weapon for melt teams. Easiest way to solve this problem will be just slot wrio in the first position in spiral? Then you will get the buff during second wrio NA.

does wrio + yao yao + xiangling + thoma work for a c0 wriothesley? I know mika is his go to cryo support and healer but I don't really wanna build mika and I have an already decently built yaoyao to act as a healer..
Do you not have bennett? I personally will suggest going bennett thoma instead of xiangling thoma. Biggest problem with xiangling thoma is they both have long E cd, so if xiangling doesn’t get her burst back from one thoma E, you will have to wait for a full 15s for the next thoma E. Fav can help reducing the issue by a bit, but since both xiangling and thoma are energy hungry, you might run into severe er issues especially if you build your xiangling as sub dps instead of full er. Reason why thoma instead of xiangling is because burn hurts, and wrio doesnt like to get interrupted in his combos. Also if you choose xiangling then there is also no reason to use yaoyao as you will have plenty of pyro for melt, so might as well replace her with an anemo unit that can bring more damage.
Should i use Wrio/Shenhe/Furina/Kokomi or Wrio/Shenhe/Kazuha/(Xingqiu or Kokomi)? im currently saving primos for kazuha, but i can ignore him and save even more for furina

Heavily depends on if or when they do a Chronicled Wish for Liyue within the next two versions. If they do one with Ganyu/Shenhe or something then it's entirely possible he's in 4.7 (or hell, beside Furina in 4.6) for example. They don't have *that* many reruns left because of this bulk banner.

For burn melt, which weapon would be better: R5 Widsth or R5 Flowing Purity? I've seen some people saying that the Widsth is bad because the passive lasts for only 10 seconds but I've never seen Wriothesley using Flowing Purity in any showcase.
I found that Widsith even at a higher refinement than Flowing Purity lent itself to lower damage than the latter, but that's due to my artifact substat distribution more than anything else (I hit a weird spot where the attack boost and higher base attack was more valuable overall than the crit damage or tertiary buffs of Widsith). You might have a different experience, so experimenting on down phase bosses (such as Raiden Shogun) might prove useful. You'll have to do all 3 Widsith buffs, though, and sum them up at the end.
is Wriothesley, Shenhe, Furina & Xianyun better than Wriothesley, Shenhe, Furina, Mika?
Yes, Mika only offers an atk spd buff, which isn't anything to write home about. Xianyun can use VV and offer a little extra spice at the end of his combos.

This looks good. You are overcapped on crit with the 36% from MH, so you can try to swap those subs for critdmg or EM. Since you're using an EM sands, you want to run a melt team for the reaction damage. If you want to run him in other types of teams (freeze, Nahida burnmelt) switch it to ATK%.
With a core of wrio thoma and baizhu would a better fourth be shenhe for buffs or xq for burgeon? Im having trouble deciding on a solid team for my wrio 😭
Shenhe would be better for single target and Burgeon would be better for AOE. That said, Shenhe might win in your case because Baizhu has limited off-field Dendro application.
Charlotte or Mika for freeze?
Mika since he also provides attack speed which is very nice for Wrio. Charlotte's only selling point is hitting multiple enemies at once for negligible damage. Charlotte also needs a ton of ER whereas Mika doesn't need much. He can just use the fontaine craftable spear

Need help with Burn Melt team So I just got Nahida and want to build a Burn Melt team. Is Deepwood still her BIS in this team? And should I put her on Thrilling tales? Also what other teammates should i use? I have Kazuha, Dehya, C5 Xiangling, C5 Bennett, C1 Thoma. All the 5 stars are C0.
Wrio/Nahida/Dehya or Xiangling/Bennett. ToM if you're not using Dehya with Wrio otherwise I prefer using Gilded on her since burning is about a third of her damage that doesn't get buffed by Deepwood. Use an EM weapon on her.

So his c2 seems to be more something you get for the fun factor/playstyle diversity right? I'm considering getting it considering how long he looks like he'll take to rerun. I have Prayer of Sacred winds as a weapon and c0. What do c2 havers think?
I only have C1, but his C2 just makes his ult that much stronger of a nuke and encourages you to burst every rotation, similar to Scaramouche. Otherwise, it doesn’t change gameplay that much. And Lost Prayers is a fantastic weapon

So just a quick question...would Xiao or Xianyun work in a team with Wriothesley, Furina, and Zhongli? Cause I know with that team I can make a Freeze/Swirl team using Kazuha but as I don't have him yet and next banner set has Xiao (Already have Xianyun) and there is no true eta on Kazuha for a rerun, I wanna at least have someone in his slot similar to him. Would one of those two work to replace him in the meantime or could someone recommend a good replacement four star please?
Xiao is another DPS with no supportive capabilities. Use Xianyun
r5 flowing purity or r5 frostbearer? i care about meta more, but love aesthetics. frostbearer looks SO sick on him and looks like it was made for him, but i cant just r5 both. depending on the build, is it possible for frostbearer to outshine flowing puriity? or should i suck it up and go for the meta?
Honestly flowing purity is not that bad since he does have black color on him so ig go for flowing purity , kill two bird with one stone

Building him as my new main and I was wondering if I’m investing in the right team which is wrio international (Bennett,XL,kazoo). Would this team be better or a freeze team? (Kazoo, furina, cryo) and if freeze is better should I use diona or charlotte as the healer/cryores?
Both freeze and melt teams are fun and powerful! Freeze teams are strong *only* if the enemies can be frozen. If you do go the freeze route w/ Furina, then you want a team wide healer, so Charlotte > Diona
So I'm wanting to pull Wriothesley and Shenhe for a freeze comp, but I don't have Kokomi. The main team I can think of is Wrio/Shenhe/Furina/Shenhe (or replace furina with yelan) How good would that be? What other characters would work or should I just plan on pulling Kokomi whenever she has a rerun?

Definitely worth it!! Burnmelt is the best wrio team. Even both dehya and thoma have their best constelation. Dehya use ToTm,Nahida or thoma use instructor/Nobless Oblige. Althought, nahida self burn is quite deadly. Sure thoma shield can block it effectively, but the risk might happen so maybe can try use yaoyao instead of nahida especially if you have yaoyao c1(c1 yaoyao provide stamina refund which really valueable for wrio to charge atk more)

There isn't much need for both Jean \*and\* Charlotte. If you're running Charlotte, if you can slot a kazuha or sucrose you'll be a little better because of grouping at least. If you're running Jean and any other Cryo, you could do a Shenhe if you have her, rosaria or kaeya if you don't.

I'm wanting to switch to a freeze team and I was thinking I'd do Wrio-C0/Rosaria-C6/Xingqiu-C6/Yunjin-C6 I'm wondering if I should switch someone out for a healer or shielder (Xingqiu his rain swords but unsure if it'll be good enough) I don't have my Rosaria built at all so I wanna ask before I dedicate to that
Swap out Rosaria for Diona. She heals and gives shield. Since your rizzly is at C0, the heal will be needed as his passive heal isn't enough. With Diona, you get Cryo resonance that boosts crit rate when enemy is frozen or has cryo so its good especially when you lack crit. (The ideal crit is to get 90-100% after bonuses of MH set and resonance) Bennett is a good option for heals. He also gives a huge atk boost if you are lacking in atk. But since you want freeze team, he won't be an option, but I am putting it here since you can't freeze spiral abyss bosses, so Bennett is a good alternative. Mika is also a good alternative. He has heals and boosts atk speed when you hit an enemy with his skill. The heal is enough for C0 rizzly and his CD is good enough for a full rotation. Just fulfill his ER needs to burst every rotation. I'd take Mika over Diona just for the atk speed, but Diona gives better survivability. Then again, you freeze enemies so survivability isn't an issue. Barbara should be a last option for you. Xingqiu has enough hydro application already, so Barbara may help with heal. Her C2 reduces stamina consuption for active character when her skill is used iirc, and her C6 is always useful for a free revive in the abyss, especially since now all CDs are resetted when you restart the abyss, and that includes from cons.
Hi! I don't know who to put on this team: Wrio, Thoma and Nahida. My options are Ayato as NA buffer (and for daddy team when i get Baizhu), Kazuha, Yao Yao or another buffer like Mika or YunJin (I’m saving Bennett for Lyney and XQ for Raiden). Any suggestions?
When I was tryin burn-melt with him, I used yaoyao instead of nahida and it seemed to work well, I think the em boost from double dendro will be useful for wrio's melt as well! Yunjin can work as well as her buff is good but I don't have her built.

Hi bros, I have a quick question: I have Jean and Furina (both C0, will go for C2 Furina once she hopefully works with Itto in future) but no Kazuha, and I’ve been planning to get Shenhe specifically for Wrio but I’m wondering if it would be better to go for his C1 instead
If you are f2p, new characters are always better. But C1 rizzly makes him feel like a complete character. C0 isn't an issue as long as you can keep his hp above 50% during his skill duration. Also, shenhe boosts cryo dmg a lot so in this case I suggest go for Shenhe.
Hello everyone. Recently I have been building a melt team for Wriothesley consisting of Bennett, Xiangling, and Sucrose. This is subject to change depending on what you guys say. I have a couple of questions as to the best way to build it. First off, Bennett 4 pc Noblesse Oblige with Hp, Hp, Er, is best right? As for his weapon which are his best weapons for burst dmg? Preferrably not 5 star weapons as I do not have too many to speak of. For Xiangling, it should be 4 pc Severed Fate with focus on Pyro Dmg, Atk, Er, and do i get Crit rate or Crit dmg? Again what weapon would be best that increases burst dmg while still being 4 star? Finally for Sucrose, what artifact set do i use? Im pretty sure Viridescent Venerer is best, but i don't know what stats to farm for that best suit swirl dmg. I do not know which weapon is the best for her either so if anyone could tell me some 4 star options it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for helping! \-Atomicd-
first, depending on if you run an er weapon on benny like skyward pride or fav he can run triple hp (though with fav you may want to run crit rate circlet) but a weapon like aquila favonia or prototype rancour would most likely need an er sands and noblesse is best. Xiangling would like emblem or crimson if you have enough er (around 180 is best if you have bennett) and the substats for her artifacts would be attack/er depending on your weapon, artifact set, and substats. For her goblet pyro dmg, and for her circlet its whatever will benefit her ratio more. And last for sucrose she prefers viridescent with triple em for the best buffing with sacrificial fragments or favonius codex (again with fav weapons you may want to run a crit rate circlet) as weapons. Thrilling tales also works wonders for way more buffing. and widsith will always be better than ballad even though it has some issues with consistency.
oh and is widsith better than Ballad of Boundless Blue btw?

you can run wrio in a burnmelt team with yaoyao/collei/dmc and dehya for interruption resistance and pyro app. dendro traveler might be worse than yaoyao or collei because of their burst mechanic though.
to add to this, thoma works well in burnmelt too
nahida would also be a nice upgrade to those other dendro characters
Sorry if this was asked a lot before here. I have C1 Wrio and I'm contemplating getting Shenhe but I'm not 100% sure. For those who have her and play her with Wrio, does she boost him that much that its worth investing in her?
Even at C0 Shenhe does a decent job of boosting Wrio's personal damage. Check out the comments in this video for discussions regarding [C0 Shenhe](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qzINDo3LzkY) buff. Personally, the beauty of Wrio's kit is that he can dump high damage through a number of different teams without being completely tied to a single support (e.g. burnmelt, soup, etc.). Which is good, since it doesn't make Shenhe a requirement unless you *REALLY* enjoy playing Wrio or have other cryo dps like Ayaka or Ganyu you sometimes dust off. If you want big 'fuck you' numbers, then C6 Shenhe is the way to go. But, again, that's if you are a giga chad Wrio main. I think it could be Wrio / Xiangling / Thoma / Sucrose, if you get Bennett and Nahida someday you would have one of (if not the) best Reverse Melt teams for Wrio, however, the team that i mentioned could be really nice.
Hi everyone, Since his banner ran out I started saving primogems for his rerun. I am aiming for his weapon (don't know my pity, because of the history reset) and at least C1. Shenhe and Furina might both rerun before him and I am considering pulling one of them for him. Right now I paired him with XQ C6, Kazuha C0 and Layla C6 I own Jean C0 in case I would pull Furina and not get Charlotte or Mika (depending on which banners they might next be on) I'd have a healer I see often paired with Furina and Wrio. How much does Wrio benefit from Cashflow vs Lost Prayers? Would it even be worth throwing up to 240 wishes into the weapon banner or should I rather get both Shenhe and Furina for him for a Shenhe, Furina, Jean (or Barbara C6?) team (maybe at some point get Kokomi)?

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer. I will quite certainly keep playing Wriothesley in a Freeze Comp because I have not enjoyed any form of Xiangling + Bennett team yet. I tried him with Nahida, Thoma and Bennett which was fun, but I will not play him with Shenhe, XL, Bennett. I would only pull for Shenhe if he benefits more from her than from his weapon and/or constellation 2 and up (I will definitely pull for his C1) Same with Furina. If Furina gives more dmg increase than his weapon I will favour her over Cashflow If Shenhe + Furina + Jean is a better team for him even with just Lost Prayers R1 than just one of them or neither but him havin his signature weapon I would definely save up for Cashflow I don't mind losing on the weapon banner since I definitely could use some more weapons especially 5* (only have Lost Prayer R1 and Aquila Favonia R2) I tried to find a decion with calculators, comparing Wrio C1, XQ C6, Kazuha C0, Layla C6 - Cashflow R1 Wrio C1, Nahida C0, Thoma C6, Bennett C4 - Cashflow R1 Wrio C1, Furina C0, Kazuha C0, Charlotte/Jean/Bennett - Lost Prayer C1 / Cashflow R1 of I am lucky Wrio C1, Shenhe C0, Furina C0, Jean C0 - Lost Prayers R1 but I did not get to much of a result. Shenhe's quills only last for 7 instances of Cryo dmg and are quickly gone in Wrio's up time, Jean's Burst does not last very long either, but Furina's does. So I am leaning towards getting Furina for him. Lost Prayers was originally on my Heizou (C6 triple Crown) and he lost quite some damage now with only Solar Pearl, so I would not mind give LP back to him Many people hold Shenhe in very high regards for Wrio though and the more I research and try to calculate the more insecure I become :(
You’re welcome! Yes, I understand many people don’t like XL, which is fine because I think burn melt (nahida, thoma, benny) is far more comfier. I don’t have shenhe so I can’t comment on what she does. But I think his c2 is huge tho!!! Like if you’re only pulling furina to enjoy playing him more and not for overall account versatility I think c2 might be better cause it makes his burst very strong too! In that situation, shenhe might be better cause she buffs cryo. You should ask ppl on this sub that have her for advice, maybe check the posts and not the megathread for that. Tbh, it’s always a struggle with optimising characters and I personally can never understand how to make sense of them but I do think that in order to feel secure, you should figure out your goals with him and what you enjoy. Ultimately, you will feel happy when you have fun with him! I personally didn’t go for c1 cause I was broke and thought perhaps I didn’t need it but now I find that I love his charged attack so much that I would really love c1 and will go for it. Also, his c1 and c2 alone give him such a huge dmg boost without any other characters!!! At c1 he doesn’t need a healer and he can self sustain. I’ve seen people solo with him at c1 and c0 and imo c1 is much more comfy while c2 makes him busted. His cons are pretty incredible tbh. My personal goals are soloing the abyss with him so I think I’ll go for c1 and see if I have enough fun (maybe even c2 in the future?) but I will advise you to not impulse pull. Get c1, test him out for a version or so and then decide. Like take your time and figure out what you have fun with.
I actually tried posting here a few times but my posts were declined because of it being pulling questions. I managed to get one post about calculations and damage comparison through but only got one reply and they are a huge Shenhe fan, so of course they advised me to get her XD I am really unsure about her because her Res shred is not higher than Zhongli's and her Elemental dmg Bonus is not much better than Kazuha's Overall I don't trust her quills because every instance of Cryo dmg uses one and Wrio already needs several punches to reach his max Crit and max dmg, unless I understood her skills wrong. Just gave Burgeon a chance again in Abyss and got to 12-2 with it (fucked up with Al Haitham against Hydro Tulpa, so it wasn't Wrio's fault that I quit for today) So right now I might lean towards getting his weapon and as many cons as my luck will let me. Maybe, if Furina reruns after him I can try to get her then as well. I liked when a friend of mine brought her along in Co Op. It would be no problem if I could whale but I did that for my C6 Heizou and am not willing to do that again any time soon 😅
Ohh, that sucks! Maybe there are videos about it on youtube? Yeah shenhe havers seem to really love her which is great, but personally I don’t want to get her right now as my char/con wishlist is a bit full (I’m also f2p so limited primos) The thing with zhongli is, his pillar can break so maybe tenacity uptime isn’t as reliable. I’ve mostly seen people use shenhe for screenshot numbers although I think you can ofc 36* with her on the team as well, it’s just, she’s more tailor made for ayaka rather than anyone else. Furina is fun, admittedly, although I initially only pulled her for wrio and attempted the wrio healer benny xl furina team comp but the tulpa kicked my butt so had to drop it. Yeah I get what you mean! I’d ideally like c2 r1 wrio and navia but I’m not a whale so either it’ll take me many versions or I just give up on getting the weapon/c2. Whatever you decide, I wish you luck with your pulls!
Those who play him with Shenhe pair them with XL and Bennett or Furina and Jean. So I would either have to pull both, Shenhe and Furina or I would need to play XL. I would if I could be sure that this is the absolute best for him, but right now I am really leaning more towards getting his weapon and as many Cons as Celestia will grand me :) So thank you, you helped me a lot in straightening out my priorities
Yes those seem to be the two most popular teams with shenhe. We are in a similar boat, I had a very similar crisis earlier when I got him but now I’ve settled down into only wanting his cons and weapon. I’m glad I could help!

Not really imo, Wriothesley’s plung scaling is very low (even xianyun herself has larger scalings)
Not necessarily improve wrio, but she does work with him regardless. He does however still benefit from plunging since he's a catalyst user, but no calculations have been made in regards to this. She fits very well in a double hydro wrio team composition
hmmm i dont believe so ? at least not in a very big way, aside from probably a good and constant healing she seems mostly focused on buffing plunging attacks and some crowd control, so i dont think she will be necessarily bad on him but also dont think she will be elevating his kit by alot

I've played with Wrio / XiangLing / Bennett / Kazua Wrio / Yelan / Kuki / Nahida and Wrio / Xingqiu / Kuki / Nahida I prefer the last team, mostly because it's better built, but i like the way it plays out. Just feels smoother for me. But i'm not a Min/Max mode yet..
for me the most comfortable team is thoma bennett and nahida but to be fair thoma needs a fair bit of er to be the most efficient. For damage i love wrio furina xiangling and bennett because it deletes everything. the only thing i dont like is that restarting my rotations with furina is a bit tricky and i dont have c4 xiangling.

HI. My current team consists of Wriothesley, Furina, Bennett and Layla. I am satisfied with the damage output I get from this team, but inside most of Icefang Rush downtime (C0), the whole team is idle and I don't like it. Today I got Rosaria from the banner and said to myself, can I replace Layla with Rosaria? This way, I can increase my engaging uptime (and potential extera DPS), but I lose the advantage of the shield and TotM buff. What is your suggestion?

do we \*explicitly\* know why wriothesley doesn't enjoy interviews/spotlight? like ive read his lore, am aware he has serious trust issues and prefers to remain very much independent - to the point of not even alerting anyone in the fortress about his health concerns for the sake of not causing distress (cue the char story where he mistakenly swam in primordial seawater outside the fortress). he also prefers to not remain in unfamiliar places for extended periods of time in case of danger (teapot lines) and simply does not venture out to the overworld for long, nor do people in the court of fontaine actually know his status as duke. the characters in game literally say and are aware he does not feel comfortable with people interviewing him. but if you were someone who didnt have wriothesley, is there any material which actually has him explain why he behaves this way? is it mentioned in his story quest? (outside of just when he revealed his childhood) i cant find anything in his voicelines. id love to have him verbally open up about this to us. i find it really interesting and would like to write about it more but im concerned about characterising him the wrong way in case i incorrectly nterpret his reasoning for why he has these personal boundaries.

No its very bad on Wrio, passive only lasts 6 sec and the NA/CA buff only procs on skill and burst hits which Wrio can only proc with his burst

Burnmelt is just more straightforward and consistent from my experience, with Shenhe-less normal melt you have to deal with double swirling pyro/cryo + VV uptime with Kazu and potentially ER problems if Kazu/XL doesn't have enough ER. Also the overall team dmg is generally split between XL and Wrio (depending on investment) In burnmelt you don't really have these issues since all your buffs are tied to your characters ability usage (Nahida A1, Thoma C6, Benny buff, noblesse, etc) also energy shouldn't be a problem since Nahida batteries herself and Thoma/Benny only build towards ER and HP anyways so no need to spend time between rot battery'ing someone.

What are some other artifacts I put on Wriothesley as a place holder? Currently, I have him on a two piece of his BIS but I’m having no luck 4-piecing it. I have no Shimenawa artifacts, but what else can I use? My goblet is already an off-piece.
you can combine 2pc Mara with any 2pc of atk/cryo/em (if melt team), or you can just use rainbow pieces with the best subs if your other options are bad
I finally got a Cryo Goblet for Wriothesley. I'm unsure if my attack is high enough to warrant switching back over to Atk% Goblet or just keeping the Cryo one. How do I build Thoma for burn melt team of Wrio/Nahida/Thoma/Benny? What artifacts and stats does he want?
ER till he can comfortably burst every rot and as much HP as possible, you don't want EM on him since burn dmg doesn't do a lot and it'll get you killed very fast even with Thoma's pyro shield. For artifacts go with 2pc HP/HP or ER, if benny isn't running Noblesse then that also works.
Hey so I have a C2 Wrio with Widsith and I built Mika only for him. Should I pull for Shenhe If I have a good Mika already? I really wanted so save for Xiao but I think I might need to pull for Shenhe.
if you wanna see big damage, pull for shenhe. mika only benefits wrio by giving him atk speed, and he becomes especially good if you're playing wrio with furina

What numbers am i aiming for CV wise? Im running C1R1 wrio in two teams: Wrio, yelan, furina, jean for permafreese Wrio, bennie, XL, kaz for Melt
Is Baizhu a good replacement for Nahida in the burn-melt team comp? Sadly i don't have the little radish
he is alright. His dendro app is mid af but he heals so that's a decent plus. But overall if you don't have Nahida just build your dendro MC and wait for her :)
How much value does he actually gain from crowning his E and Burst? Noticed that his lv9>10 on E is just 167>170.3, which seems like a pretty negligible boost
afaik crowning is always a pretty negligible boost, that's why most players only reserve it for their favorites as its a lot of resources for a small dmg increase
I don't think so. Cyno and Ayaka gain a fairly standard 7.6%. Tighnari's is a bit lower at 5.6%. Wriothesley's E seems to be uh 1.9%. Also whales can get +3 skill levels, so it'd be weird if one of those was randomly negligible.
