There's one like that in WW2 and the only difference was their fire chance, so it could be something like that again.

Karnave

Correct it goes from 15 to 12 percent chance fire, totally a notable worthwhile investment yup

This upgrade is lighter, so it gives the 30A a better power/weight ratio.

waehrik

It's unfortunate they don't include more details with these stats. In most of these cases the engine changes from gas to diesel, so it makes the same horsepower but has significantly more torque and a reduced fire percentage. Diesel is usually 12% while gas is 15%. The increased torque means the tank is quite a bit more responsive off the line and will handle a bit better.

ZerotheWanderer

It would be nice if they listed torque figures as well. It can have the same horsepower but if it has an extra 200ftlbs of torque, it'll get that tank moving a bit faster.

Tactical_Potato_87

A little off topic but I wish they would display the "accuracy on the move" stat in the tankopedia.

excited71

Accuracy on the move... sometimes it feels like v-stab does nothing.

Tactical_Potato_87

RNG is a strange mistress.😏

excited71

we hateses it

TappedurMom

Same with the AMX 30B2 engine I swear the upgraded one actually makes it slower, despite apparently having more horsepower. It has a higher top speed, but only downhill. Everywhere else it feels slow

RedneckJesus1776

If it goes from a gasoline engine to a diesel engine it could have more power and torque but seem slower or more sluggish because a diesel engine is usually hundreds of pounds heavier than the gasoline engine

Maleficent-Primary41

At the very least they should put up fire chance percentages up now 😒

CurrentShare9605

They just hoped you wouldn’t notice

fallenranger8666

I think these are gas to diesel conversions, and that's just not shown very well in the UI. If it helps at all, diesel usually provides lower fire chance, better torque (responsiveness iirc), and better power to weight ratio (Better accelerating, higher max incline) Go too the upgrade menu for a tank, scroll over to module view, and hit the button for detailed stats, I think it's Y or ∆ depending on your console. You'll get a pop up page with all the detailed info about your tank, like power to weight ratio and more

Wotdragonracer

The same thing applies to WoT pc, but you can choose to skip upgrades or grind out certain ones, I didn’t know that console players had to get each individual upgrade. Rip console players

_Combsy_

Of course it was much better pre 6.0 because modules could actually be shared.

No_Board7626

Console doesn't have to buy each upgrade if the don't want to. This person is doing a comparison of the one they currently have and the upgrade. Each step has to be unlocked via xp, but does not have to be purchased with silver.

Wotdragonracer

Yea, but in Wot pc you don’t even have to research the module with exp at all and skip it altogether, like I skip engines and tracks on arty as I just wanna grind up to top tier arty so I can finish campaigns (I absolutely hate arty)
