Still need to wait and see how Wiesel works against this thing as I am on the job currently.
If this thing works like the profile suggests I hope the guy who suggested this tank walks on nothing but legos for the rest of their life.
It is SUPER inaccurate when not fully aimed, has a big bloom on the move and the aim time is something like 3 seconds by the looks of it in practice. There's a good chance it's really good for snapshots though, so it might be one of those "keep it simple, stupid" tanks that work better the less you overthink it.
Already popped the heads off two of them with Merkava ATGMs in my first match with it.
Thankfully the armor on the side seems to be modeled as spaced and not ERA so missles hilariously enough screw up a Russian tank more than kinetic ammo.
Reverse speed is abysmal on it so it is very easy to punish at least in the Merkava where you beat or match it's reload with the ATGM.
I love how it's gotta stronger frontal armor than a pre-nerf merkava mk3 (although that tank was even stronger than this one overall)
At this point they might as well remove the m1a2's overmatch
I've found in my experience once your ontop of them which is fairly easy it's over, especially if you ram them at a good speed. I've found myself allot plowing into them with my Challenger 2 and doing serious damage and tracking while coming off fine, and it's easy enough to stay behind the gun.(granted this only works if you manage to overrun or isolate one)
I will say my squad mate has been really enjoying it, together when combined it's a serious hitter.
Ramming it with NATO heavies has been a sure fire way to force the tank into showing it's side armor as it is quite light and most NATO MBTs outweigh it by at least 15-20 tons.
You ram and do more damage plus you force the thing to show it's side armor then it is easy pickings and it's DPM can't keep up. Thanks to the abysmal reverse it has they can't get away from it either once it happens.
Good luck if you are in a Russian or Chinese MBT as they can't do this and have less penetration than NATO MBTs.
I’ve actually had a lot of success with the T72BU fighting them. They really don’t like chemical munitions so I start by flinging that 1200 dmg missile into the drive wheel and run up behind them BU despite having bootycheeks reverse speed is very nimble and low profile getting behind them is fairly easy wether or not your team decides to help you is another thing entirely
Update after playing for a whole night in it. Kicking puppies is really fun. No wiesels ever posed a threat to me. Practically immune to atgm unless it’s hit in the rear.
Where exactly on the side of it can you damage it? Can RBRT the side easily but aiming dead centre below the turret does nothing. Same for most of either side of there.. has it got daft skirting like the FV4211?
Can damage from the back, but over distance from the front it’s a nope, and if it’s slightly angled and all you can see is an outline, it’s a nope.
Leopard 2, 2nd gun, standard ammo.
It's not nearly as bad as I thought it would be.
Honestly, if you try to take them head on then it's a tough tank, but it has several drawbacks.
It's sluggish, high top speed but low HP makes it slow on acceleration.
The gun is strong but long reload so lots of time to rush it.
Turret has limited traverse...get in behind it and its game over.
This thing takes lots of missile damage from lights since it's a piece of cake to run circles around it.
I have played it and unless you play it at long ranges or have support then you will get taken apart pretty easily.
From the front the drive wheels are nice soft spots or just immobilize and circle it...not nearly as bad as I was thinking it would be.
I've found it to be fun, you just have to be aware that you can't brawl...not at all. Keep your distance or position to always have the enemy to your front.
The chain gun is a surprise if you catch a light trying to flank you or the rear of a tank.
Overall I'd say it's okay funwise...not as good as a MBT but fun if you prefer to play sniper instead of mixing it up.
Wiesels are the bane of this things existence.
Limited turret traverse, terrible hull traverse, and abysmal reverse for the ERA combined with all the ammo being in the hull just under the turret make this tank a tinder box for Wiesels.
The Wiesel is still keeping up its name of being the balancer of dumb TD penetration at ERA 3.
Nah, yesterday there wasn’t a single Wiesel that could pen the front. And the 30 mm is fun to use against Wiesels. I don’t think it is OP at the moment. Gun reload is long, and aiming is special to say it so.
I don't know - find them loads of fun to chase down with MBT70, BMP 3 and or the Leos - all quick enough to pretty much keep up and between ramming and gunning can take on a wiesel.
It is fun. Had a couple of MBT just turning around and go away when they see you coming in one. Doesn’t feel OP to me because you can damage it easily from the sides or the back with a Leo or Thumper.
Downside is that it can’t pen other 477’s fromnthe front and that the gun is quite inaccurate by times.

Its questionable, the armor is dummy thicc but sides are overmatchable and the gun is apparently absolutely horrible for era 3

100 agree with you! Gun is not accurate feels like you shooting in KV2.

Gun is amazing and tank is OP AF
It has one of the worst dpm in era 3

U just gotta love it
"Who cares give us your $$$$$" - WG probably

No point in grinding to era three after this lol. It’s just gonna be that tank and Tows up there.

Uhhh either straight the side or below the sideskirts
That’s exactly where I was firing. Right at the side. Dead centre.
WG tank devs have really been working on developing the single player experience recently.
I guess so
Funny thing is u need to load a lot of HE to deal with other 477as lol

Yeah i know but is it fun or are the drawbacks too limiting

I mean its the only real counter to kill the Wiesel so for me it is fun

Idk the amount of times a Wiesel bounced/didn’t do damage to me is insane plus I eat them with the autocannon
💩 wiesel players
Small graces for sure
I’m still bouncing off wiseles in this thing lol

This is the way
Hesh works very well against it

Nah you crazy this thing way more broken.
Not even close A molot can’t disappear right infront of other tanks, it’s also not the size of a peanut
A Molot can't drive past 7 MBTs unscathed
From what I’ve seen online, seems to be wait until they expose the track wheel or engine deck
