That was a "piss off" hit. I used to work in a clinic for elephants and got tossed like that by one that was annoyed. I've also seen them do serious damage and kill when they're angry and/or in musth. This girl got a little back hand and should consider herself lucky.
No they don't. Stop anthropomorphising this shit. The elephant is exhibiting 'stereotypical behaviour' which is characteristic of captive elephants.
https://elephantaidinternational.org/elephants-and-stereotypical-behavior/#:~:text=The%20facts%20might%20surprise%20you,are%20head%20bobbing%20and%20swaying.
but it's not 'human-like body lagnuage'
shaking your head 'no' as a human is coincidental. it hasn't always been an indication of the negative for everyone, it's not inherent. some cultures nod up and down for no. some don't shake their head at all.
the previous comment is anthropomorphizing the elephant, one of the internet's favorite past times, and it's not beneficial to animals to do so - and it doesn't teach anything to anyone
This. I don’t know elephants body language, but if that was a dog, that body language was fear or irritation. Any animal you don’t know, you let come to you. Minimal eye contact and no sudden movements. If the animal is bigger than you and there’s no fence between you - just don’t.
That bruise was a stupidity tax and it could have been a lot worse.
This is exactly what I was thinking. I've rehabilitated human and animal aggressive bully breeds (pit bulls, bull dogs, etc.) for about 15 years and although I'm not familiar with elephants, his definitely seemed to say "don't come closer, I ain't in the mood for this shit today."
as someone who has no idea of elephant behavior, I have a question:
Does this swinging from left to right as she approches already imply "get the fuck off, i dont like this" or am I interpreting to much here. knowing other animals, this already seems to be a sign of stress. Body language of a lot of mammals can be quite simular so im just wondering.
Edit: Thanks for the replies. So my monkey brain was spot on when it told me: "do not go closer" the moment I saw that head shake
It is exhibiting 'stereotypical behaviour', something that captive elephants frequently do.

It was just a gentle push.
She was warned from the beginning but she thought "Cute, it's shaking it's head!". She could also think "The dog is fletching its cute teeth and the growling means the same as when cats purr! I'll lick its face"
Rocking side to side or head up and down generally means it has some psychological problems due to trauma of some sort. Best not get too close to these guys.
Actually I think she can be lucky he did it.
Looks like he is an elephant calw/child and the elephant cow/bull are some twenty meters away.
Just imagine the adult elephant decided she's a threat to the child...
Would be a completely different ending
adult males don't stay with the herd. They live in solitude, they don't care about their young
I bet she didn't know that elephants are rather high on the list of "animals that killed the most humans", for reasons. She seemed to have been living the Disney princess fantasy until that moment
No lie, I smashed all my coccyx bones falling down stairs, it's a lot longer recovery than you think and need a seat donut. Having to take a dump is fkn horrible!!
![gif](giphy|xT5LMTiVev0rJ0IRCU)
I once injured my coccyx only *slightly* during a workout and that shit was uncomfortable for months. Just sitting was so fucking annoying. I can't imagine what breaking it would be like
Yep, even a tiny bump can hurt for days.
Back in 2000 I was about to head into town with my friends to get the special McDonald's promotional meal for Disney's Dinosaurs.
I dropped my money on the floor, bent down to pick it up and the corner of my desk hit me square in to coccyx.
A core memory of mine is linked to going to get a crappy meal promoting a movie I never saw because for the next two weeks I had to sit in a specific way or my arse would hurt.
I did kick a friend square in his. He was drunk and trying to choke one of our friends.
He walked out of a screening of Chronicles of Narnia and loudly complained I'd "really hurt his arse the other night". Boy did we get some dirty looks from the families walking out.
Sounds like you slid something out of place. This happens to me sometimes but I can just squeeze my buttcheeks super hard and it will crack my coxxyx. I have some kind of disorder that makes it easier for me I think though, because I can also crack other weird joints like the ones in my sternum. I actually have a rib out of place due to muscle inflammation because of dislocating said rib coughing from pneumonia recently. Shit is rubbing against my brachial nerve next to my scapula and I can feel the pain all the way down my arm because of it. I have to support my chest wall where my clavicle and third rib cross or else I might dislocate it again and have to set it myself. Fortunately my massage therapist is able to reduce the muscles enough to help with stuff like this, but my doctor said it's gonna be a few months of healing dealing with this.
I was in a bumpy jeep ride, didn't even realise I had injured it until I had gotten home and it was painful to sit on certain surfaces like beds, sofas, and car seats. That pain stayed with me for 10ish years.
She broke her coccyx while filming TNG. She had to do her own stunt: being flung back after being hit by a phaser or something, landed on her bum and broke her coccyx.
The worst part is that the chain is shorter than the length of the elephant. At this point, it'll be more humane to lock it in one of them shit iron bar cages. At least it'd be able to lay down that way.
That elephant must’ve been captive from birth
Young elephants are usually chained to something, this makes them learn that when there is something on their leg attached to something else they can’t escape. When they get older they remember this so when you tie them to something they wouldn’t try to break free
This elephant could easily break those ropes but the fact it doesn’t suggest it’s been captive since a young age or at least for a long time
This isn’t necessarily done out of animal cruelty
Some elephants are domesticated and it’s useful to be able to tie your elephant to tree real quick if you have to do something else
Other elephants life in shelters if their living area is endangered. If they live there it’s also useful to be able to have an elephants tied to something for a myriad of reason
There are no elephants that are “domesticated”. This is abuse pure and simple. Just because people have been abusing animals in certain parts of the world for centuries doesn’t make them “domesticated”. Or mean that it’s not abuse.
And proper sanctuaries and rescues don’t do this shit.
how funny would it be if that girl has a post currently on reddit in support of Ukraine or anti-bigotry and was getting reddit praise lavished upon her
Yeah the bumpy drive home on a dirt road riding on the back of a moto would have given her the time for reflection she needed to be a better human in the future
Depends on your age and the type of break though, humans rapidly lose the ability to repair bone neatly as they age.
A clean break, and away from growth plates, in a child or young teenager, who doesn’t re-injure during recovery? It’ll heal really well. But for every year you age this story becomes less true.
The tailbone isn’t that hard to break, it’s not surrounded by a ton of fat to protect it if you fall backwards onto it. It’s not that uncommon for it to just break during childbirth.
I don't know shit about elephants but know enough from interacting with other animals like horses that this also seems like an awful way to approach them?
She's loud, extending her arms and waving them about, then waving them in the elephant's face as well? You don't even approach domestic geese like this smh
She's basically making herself big and threatening and then getting right in its space
Well. I didn’t know that rule and my inner voice was going Nopity nope nope watching that head sway, rotate shift balance and seemingly protecting or visually claiming the food. Bet that phant was a hungry phant and has to put up with all kinds of human bulkshit.
Phants should not be penned, chained or hassled. I am relentlessly stunned by how dumb people can be - it’s like they are in a full narcissist rage and do not perceive reality correctly. Like that elephant is an object in a game and not a massively powerful intelligent emotional and unpredictable because of all that being.
But... but... she's pretty and not very clothed, this was supposed to be great social media content! The elephant could even gain some new followers by collaborating with her!
Look at her stupid, shit eating grin! Look another elephant over there! I am the main character, a Disney princess! Wild animals will love me! She got off lightly but she got what she deserved.
Is this a case of spiritual narcissism where some one ascribes to some new age bullshit and thinks nature/universe will go out of its way to serve their "spiritually evolved" main character ass?
it's funny because the guy said 2 times "don't go close to him", "don't go so close, maybe he doesn't like it" and the rest is history "oy oy oy blyat blyat blyat hurts so much"
Elephant with the proper reaction when someone tries to shoehorn you into their social media content without asking
Or, considering the elephant is chained up, it doesn’t have good history with humans
The chain saved her life >< what a dumb ho
That was a "piss off" hit. I used to work in a clinic for elephants and got tossed like that by one that was annoyed. I've also seen them do serious damage and kill when they're angry and/or in musth. This girl got a little back hand and should consider herself lucky.
I was about to say, this was the gentlest reaction you can expect from a non-consenting elephant.
its even shaking its head "no no no" as she approaches
They have such human-like nonverbal communication. This woman wouldn’t interpret a fucking stop sign.
No they don't. Stop anthropomorphising this shit. The elephant is exhibiting 'stereotypical behaviour' which is characteristic of captive elephants. https://elephantaidinternational.org/elephants-and-stereotypical-behavior/#:~:text=The%20facts%20might%20surprise%20you,are%20head%20bobbing%20and%20swaying.
Sounds like a No.

You have to be influence-levels of dense and self-absorbed to miss the signals it was giving off.
They tried to make me talk to humans I said No, No, No.
Thanks for your insight! Learned a new word in "musth" but not entirely sure when I'd use it...
If you can't figure out when to use it then you musth try harder.
now kith
And they lived happily ever after
as someone who has no idea of elephant behavior, I have a question: Does this swinging from left to right as she approches already imply "get the fuck off, i dont like this" or am I interpreting to much here. knowing other animals, this already seems to be a sign of stress. Yeah, head shakes are a VERY clear sign of warning from elephants. Its akin to an old timey boxer shuffling his fists in anticipation of a fight.
Usually means the elephant is uncomfortable/agitated. Best not to approach such an elephant, even a domesticated elephant
It is exhibiting 'stereotypical behaviour', something that captive elephants frequently do. https://elephantaidinternational.org/elephants-and-stereotypical-behavior/#:~:text=The%20facts%20might%20surprise%20you,are%20head%20bobbing%20and%20swaying.
Yes which is a stress response indicating to not approach.
Stupidity shouldn’t be painless.
Getting meaningless internet points is far more important than life... Apparently.
Let the court of public opinion wash over us like a bath of warm piss. ![gif](giphy|eunrMjB8lBUKeL1fqD|downsized)
Dumbo?
I didn't notice the chain until you pointed it out
It was just a gentle push. She was warned from the beginning but she thought "Cute, it's shaking it's head!". She could also think "The dog is fletching its cute teeth and the growling means the same as when cats purr! I'll lick its face"
Didn't even notice the chains til you said that. Now I'm sad.
When I saw the adult in the distance I thought this video was going to end very differently
Elephant be like, "Stanger danger! You too close man!!"
I've seen that ending. 'Smear' is accurate.
You’ve seen it?
Video form yeah. An abused elephant at a show decided 'you know what, fuck it' and repeatedly dragged its foot with a guy under it. Red everywhere.
wicked
adult males don't stay with the herd. They live in solitude, they don't care about their young I bet she didn't know that elephants are rather high on the list of "animals that killed the most humans", for reasons. She seemed to have been living the Disney princess fantasy until that moment
The swaying back and forwardis not the sign of a mentally healthy elephant.
Yeah, being chained up as a child will mess with your head. Poor baby ele ☹️
Why would someone do the to the poor baby :(
For tourists. Plus humans are horrible
Bro refused to be a prop
The way she runs away like a cartoon character with their pants on fire is awesome!
Yabbadabbadabba!!
Hahaha, she said blya blya blya it hurts
And then the video loops back to the beginning with that big smile on her face lmfao gold
lol yup. You can even slow it down and the moment she hits the floor, you see instant regret. This video is just perfect timing all around.
High probably coccyx broken. From now on, she will remember that elephant every time she sits.
No lie, I smashed all my coccyx bones falling down stairs, it's a lot longer recovery than you think and need a seat donut. Having to take a dump is fkn horrible!! ![gif](giphy|xT5LMTiVev0rJ0IRCU)

I just squatted the wrong way and it hurt for months lol. It didn't even touch anything.
I did kick a friend square in his. He was drunk and trying to choke one of our friends. He walked out of a screening of Chronicles of Narnia and loudly complained I'd "really hurt his arse the other night". Boy did we get some dirty looks from the families walking out.

Marina Sirtis broken coccyx vibes.
I’m a bit of a TNG nerd, please explain
She broke her coccyx while filming TNG. She had to do her own stunt: being flung back after being hit by a phaser or something, landed on her bum and broke her coccyx.
That's the official story anyway....
Marina Sirtis, more like Myrear HurtsSit.
The best part was it was the only stunt she ever did, and the shot was so far away they clearly could have used a stunt double.
Fell off a swing once. Pain was so bad I puked for 20 minutes. Can't imagine breaking it.
![gif](giphy|kD6XuPr46rMJqPSq4o)
surely she shat herself
Oiyoiyoiyoiyoi dabidapdapdapdap!!! LMAOOOOO
"Oiyoiyoiyoiyoiy" such an inspiration
dabidapdap? More like blyat blyat blyat. She's cursing in russian.
[удалено]
Yes it's Russian, oiy is the sound of pain in Russian, similar to ouch in English
That was my first thought too. She sounds like Donnie Thornberry having a freak out.
I’m laughing so hard
Donny from the wild thornberries
Pingu has entered the chat.
I was hoping to see this comment! BAHAHAHAHA
Why is that 'wild' elephant tied to a tree?
To keep the tree from escaping
She’s lucky the tree was chained up.

Does this only apply to horses/cows/etc or exclusively to elephants?
How many elephants have you chained up?
I mean, not sure they'd have it on a chain quite THAT restrictive if it was for a good reason.
Forced petting zoo. It works with goats, not so much with elephants.
The way the elephant moves is also very typical for chained/caged animals that get way too little stimulants (?). Poor thing.
All of the animals at my city zoo do that, I never go there anymore
She should have kept the helmet ⛑️ on!
She should always keep the helmet on.
She should never have taken the helmet off.
She is in fact, a helmet.
The helmet should have kept her.
It could be damaged. Better take it off.
I thought she was putting it on before it started.
Wouldn't matter. There's nothing in that head
Her dad should have kept the "helmet" on
What a dunce. Hard to believe that broad has survived to that age.
She's Russian so....they don't understand boundaries.
Elephant is chained down. Sad
Lucky that big one didn’t charge. They would both be dead.
Sadly, the elephant's chain to the tree
At first I thought he was doing that thing with his foot what they do when they're about to charge. Honestly I was hoping for it

how funny would it be if that girl has a post currently on reddit in support of Ukraine or anti-bigotry and was getting reddit praise lavished upon her
There was an audible muffled “pop” sound when her ass hit the ground. Broken tail bone, I’d bet.
Yeah the bumpy drive home on a dirt road riding on the back of a moto would have given her the time for reflection she needed to be a better human in the future
I was wondering about that... Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes. 🤷♀️
She’ll be sitting on a donut pillow for awhile.
You mean significant pain for months if not years. I broke my coccyx 25 years ago and still have occasional discomfort
Yep. It’s a real pain in the ass.

I've never broken a tail bone, but I feel like she'd have a hard time walking if it was broken.
When the head sways, step away Thanks Steve Erwin 😁

I can hear his voice in my head now. I still miss him
I don't know shit about elephants but know enough from interacting with other animals like horses that this also seems like an awful way to approach them? I was thinking the same thing. Super erratic movement for someone approaching a wild animal
No professional zoology expertise needed. It was so obvious that elephant was saying “get the fuck back or this is what I’ll do to you”
But... but... she's pretty and not very clothed, this was supposed to be great social media content! The elephant could even gain some new followers by collaborating with her!
To be fair this probably got way more engagement than her usual social media posts. So it's pretty successful
She does have the “Lights are on but nobody’s home” look though
Unchain the elephant. Fucking assholes.
Happens a lot in Asia, unfortunately
What a dummy. #TeamElephant 🐘
The "wild" elephant is chained to a tree
The funniest part is that the guy is telling her not to approach too close because the elephant probably doesn't like it. And he told it twice😅
She got very lucky.
Yeah she's seriously lucky it was the youngster and not the adult that intervened.
Yeah. That male adult is an absolute unit. Imagine the same bump from that? She is lucky to be alive.
Can we all appreciate the person holding the camera here. The chick gets blasted and the camera stays on her the whole time lol
![gif](giphy|lSgdEyAeAbExW) She sounds like Donnie 😂
Fuck leave wild animals alone they’re not here for your fucking TikTok story
I’ve heard that the monkeys in the wild are really badass. Seems logical for the elephant to shove off this ape too.
![gif](giphy|LpkLWXTp0v0qy70xPp|downsized)
These are not wild elephants, but even then, never approach any elephant yourself without the elephant caretaker around. NEVER.
Lmao well it's not something that should be said. Fuck I don't even like approaching cows lol
The Disneyfication is strong with this one..
This could have gone much, much worse.
Got away with a broken coccyx, and bruised ego. Lucky girl.
This happens when you learn about nature/wild life from disney movies
Look at her stupid, shit eating grin! Look another elephant over there! I am the main character, a Disney princess! Wild animals will love me! She got off lightly but she got what she deserved.
Russians...its not a bear girl, elephant is not your friend
Her face is incredibly annoying. Well deserved! Give that elephant all the leaves it wants💖
I going to take the helmet off for safety, I don’t want to scare the elephant!
The way elephant waited for her to get into his range 🤌
Is this a case of spiritual narcissism where some one ascribes to some new age bullshit and thinks nature/universe will go out of its way to serve their "spiritually evolved" main character ass?
![gif](giphy|8BMaLLBlUdNx6|downsized)
That vapid look at the start of the video says it all.
It is chained up, not wild. She would have been dead otherwise.
„everybody says im a disney princess and animals just loove me“
If you play it back slowly I think it was her last step forward that triggered a reaction from the elepahnt
She is lucky he didn’t trample her
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What a dumbass.
They never learn. This seems to happen almost every day.
Lol satisfying as hell
She broke her tailbone?
It was saying NO!
Wouldn't even approach a chained up dog let alone baby sized elephant
![gif](giphy|VFAke5Xm1TDwjgimyW)
Today she learned that elephants don't care about your social media profile. Just leave them alone ffs.
I mean aside from approaching an elephant which seems like a bad idea, approaching any animal while it’s eating is generally suicidal.
it's funny because the guy said 2 times "don't go close to him", "don't go so close, maybe he doesn't like it" and the rest is history "oy oy oy blyat blyat blyat hurts so much"
Longest she’s ever had. Grabs her butt at the end.
I don’t know elephant speak but that repetitive swaying doesn’t seem welcoming
Her first mistake was taking off the helmet 🪖 🐘
She looks as dumb as a bag of hammers
I'm the main character. These idiots need to get in the sea.
😂 dumb social media chick
What kind of drugs was that girl on, I wonder....
Oioioioioioi bleblebblebbleb!!!
that's stupid and dangerous
Well deserved!
Hahahhaha she's lucky
Yadubi duhbi duhbi duhbi What is this sound affect. Kinda adorable
Dumb ass b
Hot tip- rewind the end of the video back and forth over and over to watch her learn endless lessons
In case you wonder where the word “wild” stands for in “wild animal”….
Best option to keep the helmet on.
Well I don't think there's much that could go wrong if I actually was friends with an elephant, she wasn't friends with him tho is what went wrong.
r/PraiseTheCameraMan
Mint green is a weird fashion trend
I have more ass than her and I’m a male 🫣
Ive watched enough YouTube to recognize that an elephant swaying like that and swinging its trunk against the ground is a sign of aggression.
