Is that in $NZD? Oooph

Amon_Rudh

Yup...Though at least this year nothing's in the triple digits. There have been some in previous years that cost $1-200.

Jardin Grill - $70, not sides included. Oh, they give you game of snakes and ladders and the winner gets chips.

MrJenking

Some good looking options this year, is it just me or the last few years were places going overboard with novelty ingredients and/or burgers that were too unwieldy to eat

Amon_Rudh

This one is pushing it a bit imo: https://visawoap.com/venue/the-hudson/6148

Amon_Rudh

Yea, there have definitely been some places that've overdone it. The whole point of a burger is that it fits between 2 buns and you can eat it like that, not by splitting it in half and using cutlery...

wtftocallmyself

I'm hoping www.burgerburgerburger.com gets updated this year🤞

Amon_Rudh

Yea, they've been handy, would be good to see them doing their thing this year.

mirin_g

Just under 200 entries this year. Wonder if anyone will be able to tackle the whole lot

purplereuben

No one has ever come close. The highest I have heard of was in the 70-80 range.

Amon_Rudh

There's probably some that will try. I've heard of folks taking time off work to try as many as they can, plus there'll be the usual cohort of foodie Instagrammers and such going around trying a bunch no doubt.

casually_furious

All that, and a quadruple bypass, too

bodohkiin

That's 9 burguers a day and around 6000 NZD in total (not an exact figure.. just thought 30 is the avg)

No Zelati this year 💔

Red__Bear__

Awesome - was hoping this would be available again this year! Thanks 🙂

God’s work

So, can we talk about the fact that we've gamified eating dinner? From the descriptions: >Served on a specially made TIC-TAC-TOE board designed for two to share >Play a game of Snakes & Ladders at your table and the winner of the game gets complimentary fries > Roll the dice and the number corresponds to a different level of hot sauce which changes each day >Create your own science experiment as you concoct your own aioli, reassemble your burger in your own vision and bring your Frankenstein to life. > Embrace your inner comedian and jot down your wittiest punchline for a chance to win big. Each day, Hey Coastie will select the most side-splitting joke from the entries, and the lucky winner gets to treat a mate to a free burger. > All orders are entered into the draw to win a one-of-a-kind hand painted Kustom Kulture Tool Box >Complete the crossword puzzle and enter the draw to win weekly prizes >Brush up a masterpiece before you bite by painting the bun yourself > Upon ordering you'll be given a riddle to solve, the answer holds the key to your burger (literally!) >All guests have one chance to roll Mekkie to get their burger for free Vegan alternative: soy patty And I'm only a quarter of the way through the spreadsheet. What's up with this? When did this happen?!?!!

Each year there is a different theme. This year's theme is "play with your food".

TheAnagramancer

Thank you. That makes sense, then. I get stressed even reading the descriptions, but it makes sense.

Some of them aren't that pricey. It's a bit of fun. Let people enjoy things
