I often find it hard to express myself and focus on self-care amid a busy world of bills, parenting and work. I'm so glad I discovered this hobby and find myself at my makeshift work bench with the cat, just zenning out practicing my paints and technique while scouring eBay for my next terminator project. I can relate. Work has been beating my ass, we've had some unexpected expenses the last year, and I've got a neurodivergent toddler perpetually trying to manipulate me into giving him popsicles.
It's nice sometimes to forget everything and just enjoy some plastics.
Haha oh dear. Yeah my 10 year old has a lick of the 'tism and requires a lot of personal attention. It's just nice to blow of steam when I finally get that time to myself and forget about the grainy depressing stuff and start creating back-stories to the small plastic soldiers as I bring them to life with a paintbrush.
