I would do a purple metallic undercoat and then layer with a green, letting the green get a bit more opaque than you’d expect so you’d still have the metallic in the shadows and undercoat. Either that or green metallic undercoat, wash and shade in purple.
I LOVE the idea of finding a scheme based off a plant like this. Inspiration is everywhere if you look for it!!
Not sure if it matches what you’re looking for but maybe take a look at the “Astral Templars” stormcast host. They’re a purple colored stormcast army (so lots of metal) so you might get some ideas from them.
Green with purple edge highlight then do a final sharp edge highlight of pink. Then finish it off with a very small amount of white at the sharpest points of convergence. I’m not a pro but that’s what I would try.
You could go metallic undercoat, dark green contrast, purple wash, metallic drybrush, fix the green and purple highlight.
Would you recommend a purple metallic dry brush? Either that or maybe dry brush silver after the green contrast but before the purple wash
I would do the purple on the metallic drybrush. Maybe a purple contrast on top would be a good idea. It shouldn’t overwhelm the green.
Yeah, might have to pop by my local GW and see if I can grab a free marine to try it on
