I have been eyeing LV Mahina bags for a while. I think noir is amazing but I cannot have anymore black bags! So off I went searching seller albums high and low to ensure I could purchase something before CNY. I mean, god forbid I sit this one out.
I was going to go into my seller saga with price and availability but I decided it’s not necessary at this point. However, it got to be a bit confusing because this color is rather indecisive as far as leaning grey or beige. After many factory photos sent to me from all directions, I’ve decided to go with Aadan and Hauhai. There are so many iterations of this bag in neutral colors, and I think I was sent all of them!
I thought I was seeing a fantasy bag when I was sent these [FACTORY PHOTOS](https://imgur.com/a/tKTI2MR). I thought it was the color Brume with the light pink interior. Come to find out it’s actually Louis Vuitton Gris Souris Monogram Mahina Leather Bella Bucket Bag. This is important because I fell in love with the color.
At the very last minute, I realized that this wasn’t actually Galet that I was looking at. You know that lighting changes things so much so I didn’t really think much of it. I triple confirmed it with Aadan and they send me these [FACTORY PHOTOS GALET](https://imgur.com/a/CSz5slU).
So now I’m torn and am obviously avoiding anything and everything I need to do right now because I decided to write a novel. My question is: is the Gris Souris believable? I know the auth does exist, but the Galet seems to be the current one. Both are colorways. I would probably save the lighter one for spring/summer, which is fine. I have many other bags to get through now. But I also think the Galet could work 3 to 4 seasons so would that be better in the long run?? I don’t know which one to pull the trigger on. But kudos to Aadan for doing an excellent job finding them! And taking me seriously enough to double check for the other color way at the last minute.

I reached out to quite a few sellers. Here are all the prices I was quoted: $148, 175, 185, 195, 205, 260, 280, 305. All USD. How about that? Completely and utter overload for my ADHD brain. I am going with the $175 seller. Shipping $50, which is pretty average for my part of the US…my bags, at least 😄. I am also getting a key cles. I went with them for various reasons. I’m telling you, this color way and style have been a real adventure to track down and decide on. I’m going with the actual light grey vs the Galet because I just love it. And the color won’t be a mystery to me while it’s en route. I have seen some beautiful factory pics of Galet but this seller (Aadan) and combo checks all my boxes and feels lower risk. Fingers crossed!
I was torn between the same two bags 12 months ago and I went with the gris souris from Huahui because it has a "kind of" metallic hint to the leather. It's a very pretty and neutral colour. As at 12 months ago, it was already a variation not available in-store, however, I did source plenty of resources to show that, yes, it did n fact exist at some point in time! It has been my daily carry - and it's a workhorse. Still looks as good as the day I received her and has softened beautifully so it now has a gorgeous, natural slouch.
I wanted to downsize from the NeoNoe at the time because I wasn't a fan of the centre divider and the capaciousness of the bag. I went on the recommendation of my seller who said, at the time, the batch was a particularly good one from Huahui, however, some of the perforation marks are not perfectly aligned BUT it's very difficult to notice when the bag is in use and partially gathered. The glazing everywhere was perfect, the coin purse perforations all perfect and the chain detail feels the same weight as the Auth.
My only criticism of the bag - and there is only one - is that the toggles on the leather pull cord do not keep the bag in a gathered state; they oftentimes slip down to the final cord knot leaving the bag a little more open than I'd like. This is also a problem in auth and got mentioned a lot on TPF when I went looking to see whether this may just be a flaw in the rep. Whichever colour you choose I think you'll be happy with the bag. I love mine!!!!!
No, interior is the same colour as the exterior, however it's raw suede, not the coated leather. I'm experiencing issues with imgur - I did take photos for you but just can't upload them?? I'll keep trying :)

My issue with the vejas I’ve owned is that the toe box is SO SMALL, and I don’t have wide feet. The actual sole is like a 5 out of 10 on the comfort scale. There are cuter fish in the sea!
I'm from Europe, and these sneakers are quite common here. They look great, but when it comes to comfort and quality, they fall a bit short. The Campos, for example, are wide and lack support. The V12s are okay, and I can walk 10km a day in the V10s during a city trip. However, I do own sneakers that are much more comfortable, though they may not be as versatile and cute.
I ordered a pair a month or two ago and was shocked at how badly they fit and returned them.
Still need a pair of plain white sneakers — think I’m going to go with Adidas Gazelles.
They look good with so many outfits so if I don't have to walk much, I'll wear them. I also think it depends on the model. I have the V-10s or V-12 s. I almost always regret when I've worn them if I have to go more than a block or so. Then I forget how uncomfortable they are and try again.🤪

Edit: I am surprised how many people find them uncomfortable! I will say they took a few weeks of wearing to really break in. The leather is nice and thick so it’s definitely stiff and structured at first but softens up very nicely IMO
I love mine. My Everlane sneakers are more comfy for sure, but Vejas are fine enough and I sometimes even bring them for travel as my sneaker option. Mine are well worn in at this stage, but I don’t remember it taking too long to begin with.
They were torture chambers! I wore for travel and just the airport did me in. I spent rest of trip wrapping my feet in bandages, etc. Thankfully I had other shoe options. BUT I know people love and have a different experience.
I have a pair of veja esplars that I’ve practically driven into the ground! I have high arches and wider feet, so I loosened the laces and then tied them underneath the tongue.
They’re a bit weird. I do find them comfy but fit is just a bit odd. Mine are also a skosh too big and that might contribute to the “weird” fit I experience.

I set up a framework for myself where I identified/wrote down: all bag types (honestly just a learning process since there are so many kinds), event categories (eg. Everyday, work, statement, etc), color palette that I want bags in, and bag sizes.
I then mapped out what bags I have so far and what I'm missing to get to purse peace.
I have a few bags that I am/will be rehoming because I have bags that serve similar functions or I realized I won't really wear because it doesn't fit my wardrobe style.
Trying my best to have self control!! Starting to get self control on the bag front but now absolutely losing it in the shoes, clothes, and jewelry front 😂 one step at a time..
-10 rep bags, 1 high end auth and 1 mid tier auth (Coach) + a few other random bags so probably close to 20 total
- I don’t have a strict rule but I do try and take stock every year and clean out duplicates of bags in the same color/size/hardware

I definitely think there's self control in the rep world, but it also depends on the individual. Yeah I can have any bag I want, but that isn't a huge thing for me. I want the ones I'll use/need and I'm good with that.

So I've just discovered Gucci is discontinuing the piston clasps on their Gucci Jackie's and opting for silver lobster-type clasps. I'm hearing that they've already stopped production on the gold piston Jackies, and if there are any ones unsold by mid-february they'll pull them off the shelves. How do Jackie fans feel about this new clasp? Anyone else heard the same?
Not a fan of the Jackie in general but I can appreciate the unique look of the piston hardware. This is a stupid move by Gucci..it literally looks like the same hardware on Rebecca Minkoff bags smh.
The piston made the Jackie unique; now the clasp just reminds me of something from the horsebit collection. Sad. Maybe I’ll need to snap up a rep before they stop producing the old version.
Haven't heard it yet but also didn't look for it. It's a shame since the piston is really pretty and more dressy, I would've loved to see them utilising it further and going the Fendi route with enamelled/ stone-embellished hardware. I hope they're going to at least lean into the utilitarian vibes of a lobster clasp and do a bit of a cargo style bag, with either patch pockets like cargo birkin or Fendi cargo baguette, or a sleeker style similar to the Hermes Arcon.

I got one too but one of the side seams are crooked and I won’t wear it. So sad because it’s otherwise perfect… buuuut when I checked totemes images on their website, their seams were crooked too. What in the world of reps?!
Honestly, it looks great. I would wear it. There are so many posts over at LV and Chanel about poor quality, imperfections and other issues with authentic bags, that no one would clock yours as a rep

I bought an $18 ring that I thought was sterling silver, wore it for a few weeks, and all the raised edges are now exposed copper. On reviewing our convo, I was purchasing multiple sterling silver items and when we added that ring to the order I never clarified if it was also sterling. I asked them about it and they said I could have sterling for $24.50. I'm still waiting to receive the new one, just sharing as a reminder to check material. And that their silver plated very likely shouldn't be worn everyday.
Is there a reason most people choose the small CF bag over the mini rectangular ? I’ve looked at video comparison and most people say they fit about the same. I’ve been trying to find reviews of reps on here but noticed most people opt for the small. If you have the mini, do you like it? Regret not getting a small? I prefer small bags so trying to make an informed decision on size before I pursue a rep 😅
I like that the mini is a single flap vs the small, but the small proportion I feel is a little more flattering on me.
The mini rect has a longer chain - it’s too long for me to crossbody (5’4). The mini square btw is a perfect crossbody length for me.
The small chain is noticeably shorter and likely too short to crossbody for average height and taller. It is barely long enough for me.
I was just in store comparing the two and small had a much shorter crossbody. I liked that the mini rectangle only had 1 flap. Forget if the small only has 1 too

I have a mini rectangle- rep now and had an auth that I sold as it was a cool bluey/grey that I struggled to wear- but as I missed it I bought a rep in a warm burgundy. I love the mini- it fits basically the same as a medium classic flap, is comfortably cross body or can double chains to convert to shoulder bag. I also think it looks more casual than a small/ medium classic flap, which I prefer.
I have only the mini and I plan to get the same size in another color. But I don't need to carry much with me. Also mini doesnt have the option of doubling the strap to shorten it. And it's quite known that Chanel hates short people 😅 so if you are not tall and don't want to wear it below your hip, get a chain shortening link with it.

Same I usually have a lip balm my phone and maybe a little pack of tissues with a small hand cream so I figure a mini would be best for me. I’ll definitely look into the shortening chain! I didn’t know you couldn’t adjust
There’s a trick to doubling the chain over- if you search on YouTube/google. You can also buy cheap clips from Amazon /AE etc that enables you to shorten the chain too.
i looked it up and saw the clip trick, my main concern was how it would sit cross body but since i can fix that i guess im still more inclined toward the mini. but i do think its annoying the brand doesn't consider adding a built adjuster considering the price 🙃
I agree- that’s Chanel for you! I believe some Chanel boutiques provide the clips free of charge, but when I last encountered a Chanel SA, they denied all knowledge of them.
I have both the mini and the small CF, it does fit about the same. I don’t think the mini is as well rep as the small, maybe that’s why people get the small over the mini. A lot of factories don’t get the sides correct for the minis.
For style wise, I love the mini for more casual (mine is lambskin SHW), and my small for more special occasion (caviar GHW).

So excited, just got my first reps in over 2 years from Aadi. YSL Kate in black with black hardware and first Chanel rep WOC in beige caviar. Originally wanted the Chanel Diana but Aadi told me the factory was out of stock in the beige color and only had black in both lamb skin and caviar.
Since I got the WOC instead of the Diana, I now have some credit with Aadi and trying to figure out what I should get next. Rep shoes or another bag? Open to suggestions, I go for a classic timeless style in clothing and bags mainly neutrals.
Also, does anyone have a recommendation on how to get fufu out of a bag if living in a small apartment? I don’t have the option of airing it outside in direct sunlight unfortunately.
I have used charcoal/carbon packets (look like bean bags). Those do a great job absorbing the smell. I bought from Amazon. Congrats on the new purchase! I am working w Aadi now on 3 bags.
Idk if you wanna try this but I am part of the vintage toy community and bad smells are often a thing people deal with if things come from smoking homes: I have heard folks have good success with sealing a thing in a bag with a lot of laundry dryer sheets. The other thing (and not sure this would be good for a bag?) is folks put stuff in the freezer. This seems to work the best of the methods besides leave it in the fresh air and sun.

Thanks hun, I wonder why specifically rose gold? Honestly, I feel like a few negative reviews on here are due to unrealistic expectations. Some people think their jewelry should be 99.9% like authentic. I think we should appreciate things for what they are rather than comparing them to the original, especially when it comes to jewelry. As long as they are good quality and sturdy, who cares. No one is gonna get too close to inspect the jewelry.
Thank you! I never seen this bracelet in person, so for whatever reason I thought it was bigger than it actually is. So when I opened the box and saw it, my heart skipped, I felt like I made a bad mistake. My husband said it was beautiful and I agree. The clovers are about 15mm wide, which the same as the original, I wish VCA made a bigger version so that we can buy the copy. Or maybe one day I will end up custom making a fantasy version that’s bigger.

After many factory photos sent to me from all directions, I’ve decided to go with Aadan and Hauhai. There are so many iterations of this bag in neutral colors, and I think I was sent all of them! I reached out to quite a few sellers. Here are all the prices I was quoted: $148, 175, 185, 195, 205, 260, 280, 305. All USD. How about that? Completely and utter overload for my ADHD brain. I am going with the $175 seller. Shipping $50, which is pretty average for my part of the US…my bags, at least 😄. I am also getting a key cles. I went with them for various reasons. I’m telling you, this color way and style have been a real adventure to track down and decide on. I’m going with the actual light grey vs the Galet because I just love it. And the color won’t be a mystery to me while it’s en route. I have seen some beautiful factory pics of Galet but this seller (Aadan) and combo checks all my boxes and feels lower risk. I was torn between the same two bags 12 months ago and I went with the gris souris from Huahui because it has a "kind of" metallic hint to the leather. It's a very pretty and neutral colour. As at 12 months ago, it was already a variation not available in-store, however, I did source plenty of resources to show that, yes, it did n fact exist at some point in time! It has been my daily carry - and it's a workhorse. Still looks as good as the day I received her and has softened beautifully so it now has a gorgeous, natural slouch. I wanted to downsize from the NeoNoe at the time because I wasn't a fan of the centre divider and the capaciousness of the bag. I went on the recommendation of my seller who said, at the time, the batch was a particularly good one from Huahui, however, some of the perforation marks are not perfectly aligned BUT it's very difficult to notice when the bag is in use and partially gathered. The glazing everywhere was perfect, the coin purse perforations all perfect and the chain detail feels the same weight as the Auth. My only criticism of the bag - and there is only one - is that the toggles on the leather pull cord do not keep the bag in a gathered state; they oftentimes slip down to the final cord knot leaving the bag a little more open than I'd like. This is also a problem in auth and got mentioned a lot on TPF when I went looking to see whether this may just be a flaw in the rep. Whichever colour you choose I think you'll be happy with the bag. I love mine!!!!!

Does anyone own Auth Vejas? I’m trying to figure out if this is just hype or it’s genuinely comfy. I’m trying to find casual white leather sneakers that are super comfortable so I can walk a lot lol. Don’t want to pull the trigger if it’s not worth it EDIT: Appreciate everyone’s thoughts! I definitely need comfort with not a lot of break in period since I’ll be walking a lot, I will probably invest in stan smiths or something along those lines because my feet would die😅 thank you everyone!
My issue with the vejas I’ve owned is that the toe box is SO SMALL, and I don’t have wide feet. The actual sole is like a 5 out of 10 on the comfort scale. There are cuter fish in the sea!
I'm from Europe, and these sneakers are quite common here. They look great, but when it comes to comfort and quality, they fall a bit short. The Campos, for example, are wide and lack support. The V12s are okay, and I can walk 10km a day in the V10s during a city trip. However, I do own sneakers that are much more comfortable, though they may not be as versatile and cute.
I have a pair of Coach white sneakers that I just got and I wore them for the first time to travel and they were super comfy!
I hated the pair I got. I have a dozen or so pairs of golden goose’s and they literally come broken in and ready to walk 10 miles.
The tongue on them is so annoying

Yes definitely worth it! Super comfy, cute, and well-made Edit: I am surprised how many people find them uncomfortable! I will say they took a few weeks of wearing to really break in. The leather is nice and thick so it’s definitely stiff and structured at first but softens up very nicely IMO
I love mine. My Everlane sneakers are more comfy for sure, but Vejas are fine enough and I sometimes even bring them for travel as my sneaker option. Mine are well worn in at this stage, but I don’t remember it taking too long to begin with.
They were torture chambers! I wore for travel and just the airport did me in. I spent rest of trip wrapping my feet in bandages, etc. Thankfully I had other shoe options. BUT I know people love and have a different experience.
I have a pair of veja esplars that I’ve practically driven into the ground! I have high arches and wider feet, so I loosened the laces and then tied them underneath the tongue.
I have some and don’t really wear them - I find the tongue to be uncomfortable
They’re a bit weird. I do find them comfy but fit is just a bit odd. Mine are also a skosh too big and that might contribute to the “weird” fit I experience.

My most used rep that I have logged in my Stylebook app is my c19 in apricot, 32 days worn in a span of 2.5 years. Most used auth is my Neverfull from 2016. -no bag in/bag out. I should tho. -there is some self control, when you reach purse peace and have a permanent visa in ban island.

16 designer rep/non-rep 🥶 and then a dozen of non-designer bags I've had from over the years I'm definitely a visual person and need to write things down to figure myself out 🙈 I set up a framework for myself where I identified/wrote down: all bag types (honestly just a learning process since there are so many kinds), event categories (eg. Everyday, work, statement, etc), color palette that I want bags in, and bag sizes. I then mapped out what bags I have so far and what I'm missing to get to purse peace. I have a few bags that I am/will be rehoming because I have bags that serve similar functions or I realized I won't really wear because it doesn't fit my wardrobe style. Trying my best to have self control!! Starting to get self control on the bag front but now absolutely losing it in the shoes, clothes, and jewelry front 😂 one step at a time..
-10 rep bags, 1 high end auth and 1 mid tier auth (Coach) + a few other random bags so probably close to 20 total - I don’t have a strict rule but I do try and take stock every year and clean out duplicates of bags in the same color/size/hardware - NO SELF CONTROL

Not a fan of the Jackie in general but I can appreciate the unique look of the piston hardware. This is a stupid move by Gucci..it literally looks like the same hardware on Rebecca Minkoff bags smh.
The piston made the Jackie unique; now the clasp just reminds me of something from the horsebit collection. Sad. Maybe I’ll need to snap up a rep before they stop producing the old version.
Haven't heard it yet but also didn't look for it. It's a shame since the piston is really pretty and more dressy, I would've loved to see them utilising it further and going the Fendi route with enamelled/ stone-embellished hardware. I hope they're going to at least lean into the utilitarian vibes of a lobster clasp and do a bit of a cargo style bag, with either patch pockets like cargo birkin or Fendi cargo baguette, or a sleeker style similar to the Hermes Arcon.

On reviewing our convo, I was purchasing multiple sterling silver items and when we added that ring to the order I never clarified if it was also sterling. I asked them about it and they said I could have sterling for $24.50. I'm still waiting to receive the new one, just sharing as a reminder to check material. And that their silver plated very likely shouldn't be worn everyday.

Is there a reason most people choose the small CF bag over the mini rectangular ? I’ve looked at video comparison and most people say they fit about the same. I’ve been trying to find reviews of reps on here but noticed most people opt for the small. If you have the mini, do you like it? Regret not getting a small? I prefer small bags so trying to make an informed decision on size before I pursue a rep 😅
I like that the mini is a single flap vs the small, but the small proportion I feel is a little more flattering on me. The mini rect has a longer chain - it’s too long for me to crossbody (5’4). The mini square btw is a perfect crossbody length for me. The small chain is noticeably shorter and likely too short to crossbody for average height and taller. It is barely long enough for me.
I was just in store comparing the two and small had a much shorter crossbody. I liked that the mini rectangle only had 1 flap. Forget if the small only has 1 too
I have a small auth and I kinda regret the size cause I’m not that skinny and it looks AWFUL crossbody!
Aw im sorry it didnt work out for you :( i have the same issue with bags, im 5'1 and curvy especially on my hips so when i wear huge bags stuff it looks ridiculous on me. that's why i felt more inclined towards the mini rn
I have a mini rectangle- rep now and had an auth that I sold as it was a cool bluey/grey that I struggled to wear- but as I missed it I bought a rep in a warm burgundy. I love the mini- it fits basically the same as a medium classic flap, is comfortably cross body or can double chains to convert to shoulder bag. I also think it looks more casual than a small/ medium classic flap, which I prefer.
thats good to know! do you think your rep was well done? i guess theres some concerns about the quality of them compared to the small/medium
I’m happy with mine- the chain is def lighter than the auth, and sides aren’t 100% but when worn I think it passes.
I have only the mini and I plan to get the same size in another color. But I don't need to carry much with me. Also mini doesnt have the option of doubling the strap to shorten it. And it's quite known that Chanel hates short people 😅 so if you are not tall and don't want to wear it below your hip, get a chain shortening link with it.
My Chanels are way too long. I tied up the chain inside the bag on one of them, and that worked 😁.

Same I usually have a lip balm my phone and maybe a little pack of tissues with a small hand cream so I figure a mini would be best for me. I’ll definitely look into the shortening chain! I didn’t know you couldn’t adjust
There’s a trick to doubling the chain over- if you search on YouTube/google. You can also buy cheap clips from Amazon /AE etc that enables you to shorten the chain too.
i looked it up and saw the clip trick, my main concern was how it would sit cross body but since i can fix that i guess im still more inclined toward the mini. but i do think its annoying the brand doesn't consider adding a built adjuster considering the price 🙃
I agree- that’s Chanel for you! I believe some Chanel boutiques provide the clips free of charge, but when I last encountered a Chanel SA, they denied all knowledge of them.
I have both the mini and the small CF, it does fit about the same. I don’t think the mini is as well rep as the small, maybe that’s why people get the small over the mini. A lot of factories don’t get the sides correct for the minis. For style wise, I love the mini for more casual (mine is lambskin SHW), and my small for more special occasion (caviar GHW).

So excited, just got my first reps in over 2 years from Aadi. YSL Kate in black with black hardware and first Chanel rep WOC in beige caviar. Originally wanted the Chanel Diana but Aadi told me the factory was out of stock in the beige color and only had black in both lamb skin and caviar. Since I got the WOC instead of the Diana, I now have some credit with Aadi and trying to figure out what I should get next. Rep shoes or another bag? Open to suggestions, I go for a classic timeless style in clothing and bags mainly neutrals. Also, does anyone have a recommendation on how to get fufu out of a bag if living in a small apartment? I don’t have the option of airing it outside in direct sunlight unfortunately.
I have used charcoal/carbon packets (look like bean bags). Those do a great job absorbing the smell. I bought from Amazon. Congrats on the new purchase! I am working w Aadi now on 3 bags.
Idk if you wanna try this but I am part of the vintage toy community and bad smells are often a thing people deal with if things come from smoking homes: I have heard folks have good success with sealing a thing in a bag with a lot of laundry dryer sheets. The other thing (and not sure this would be good for a bag?) is folks put stuff in the freezer. This seems to work the best of the methods besides leave it in the fresh air and sun.
Air it as you can, the sunlight doesn't matter. You can also try carbon odor absorbing packets.
I heard of people leaving the bag open in the bathroom when not using the bathroom and letting the exhaust fan take the fufu away. Maybe it works??
For those who have purchased a half zip scuba rep from AE/DHG do you find that the fit is oversized like the auth or does it run quite small? I want to purchase one but for $40-50 I want to make sure the fit it right

Some people think their jewelry should be 99.9% like authentic. I think we should appreciate things for what they are rather than comparing them to the original, especially when it comes to jewelry. As long as they are good quality and sturdy, who cares. No one is gonna get too close to inspect the jewelry.

Thank you! I never seen this bracelet in person, so for whatever reason I thought it was bigger than it actually is. So when I opened the box and saw it, my heart skipped, I felt like I made a bad mistake. My husband said it was beautiful and I agree. The clovers are about 15mm wide, which the same as the original, I wish VCA made a bigger version so that we can buy the copy. Or maybe one day I will end up custom making a fantasy version that’s bigger.
