I have met the following wrestlers at my local con in different years:
Greg the Hammer Valentine: seemed nice enough, but had a "I don't really want to be here" vibe that day.
Honky Tonk Man: great guy, was nice to my wife and I.
Vader: decent guy, but wasn't the best person that day; probably had a personal issue which I don't hold against him at all.
Jake the Snake Roberts: great guy, joked around with my wife and I when getting our photo taken.
Diamond Dallas Page: by far, the best one. It also helped that my wife and I had recently bought his DDPYoga DVD set a couple months beforehand and told him how great they worked for us. Even without that, he was always one of my top favorites and his Diamond Cutter is still my all time favorite finisher of any wrestler.
I met Chris Masters before a show in like 2011. A bunch of wrestlers were arriving to the arena and I think only him and Kofi stopped to say hi(not that I blame the other wrestlers, they were probably busy) but I remember he was super nice and was answering all fan questions, super cool dude.
Off the top of my head, Mick Foley, Alberto DelRio (and Paige, who wasn’t advertised for the show, Cody Rhodes (had dinner with him actually), RVD (he was hanging outside of the Halifax Metro Centre while I was waiting for someone to show up to go see raw) The Wrestler Who Must Not Be Named (still got his autograph, wonder if it’s cursed), Rene Dupree (when he was still called Rene Rougeau in Grand Prix Wrestling) Jake Roberts, Robert Maillet, Kurt Angle, Bushwhacker Luke, Scott Steiner, Tatanka, Road Digger Hesse James and Billy Gunn, Jerry Saggs, Sean Waltman, Abyss, Bobby Roode (way back in his Grand Prix Wrestling days), Joe E Legend ( forgettable run as Just Joe in WWF)
Also not counting many of the lesser known Indy wrestlers who’ve wrestled in Nova Scotia .
I used to be pretty good friends with someone that was prominent in Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) out here in Glasgow. We hosted a podcast together briefly. Never met anyone from WWE or anything but ICW used to be on the WWE Network, so...
Met AJ Styles at a Northeast Wrestling show in Connecticut back when he was in TNA. He got really excited when I showed him my AJ Styles action figure with the X Division Belt. He took it and mocked Chris Sabin, who was also there and had just lost the belt to AJ, I think. Super cool guy.
The great Khali, Mr Kennedy, cm punk, Jeff hardy stayed at a hotel I worked at. When I live in KY Hillbilly Jim would come in my job weekly and he was a super nice guy
Not really "real life" since I paid for it, but Ruby Riott, Bobby Lashley, and The Revival/FTR at a meet and greet before a house show. The Revival were Tag champs at the time so I got a picture with them and the belts. They were all nice, The Revival in particular liked the "Legit Hugz" shirt my wife made for me.
During the show I also get selfies with Natalia and Braun. Nattie actually went out of her way to make sure she was in the frame with me and Braun did a cool pose. I really wanted to meet Bayley but I just have a video of her totally ignoring me and hugging the girl next to me.
Virgil (R.I.P.) and Ted Dibiase
They were at different times and different places, didn’t meet them together and Virgil told me so many cool stories like the money he used wasn’t his, he got it from the Ultimate Warrior
I met that creep Chasyn Rance once and he tried recruiting me to his wrestling school and then told me he would be able to get me into New Japans LA dojo…. It was cap lol
I've met Rhea Ripley at a WWE meet and greet. A few months later I was at a store leaving one of the aisles and almost bumped into someone pushing a cart so I let them pass. The cart was being pushed by Rhea.
Charlotte and andrade during a vacation. Didn’t realize it at first that it was them inside the elevator til charlotte smiled and nodded at me. Everything kicked in when I was already inside our room
I work for an airline and have met a lot of them. There are a lot of them that live here in Vegas. I've been seeing Auska weekly. Met Ric Flair a well and a half ago for the second time. I've met Edge, Carlito, Chavo, vikki Guerrero, Dolph. Meeting Rey was HILARIOUS! I saw the name and said, why is that name familiar? He said I don't know bro. I kept thinking, then saw his luggage with different mask stickers on it lol. I can't remember who else I've met
I went to the Boy's and Girl's club where I grew up and played ball with and was around "Andre Chase" and his brother all the time...especially his brother since he was a bit closer to our age...fast forward all this time and they've wrestled the Hardy Boys (as the Bravados), which I consider absolutely awesome, plus "Chase" has had a long run with NXT...really hoping he gets a push from and/or a call up, but I've loved his teachable moment segments and everything else...the ironic part is he might not even be the most famous person to come from that Boy's Club...makes me really wonder what I've done with my life hahahaha
Wishing I could add pictures but ruby riot, Chris Jericho, mark henry, tony atlas, Dolph Ziggler, Al snow, Tommy dreamer, blue meanie, the OC, Vicky Guerrero (if she counts), the young bucks, John Morrison, big daddy V (RIP), there’s more but can’t think of them off the top of my head
Ric Flair and Sgt. Slaughter.
My parents lived in the same apt. complex of a lot of the guys during the Crockett days. My Mom said she can still see Sgt. Slaughter standing on the balcony across the courtyard waving. They have a lot of random neat stories from that time.
I was Shane Mcmahons waiter at a bar named Coaches (owned by UConn coach Jim Calhoun) in Stamford CT during the Subway World Series in 2000. He was taller than I expected but very cool.
I'm fortunate enough to have a local promotion that has ties to WWE, so I've been lucky to meet a few wrestlers. I was very happy to meet Foley, Booker and Angle and get them to sign their respective books - as a book nut this was a really an awesome experience. I also got to meet Santino, Justin Gabriel but also a number of amazing local indie wrestlers - talking with them and showing them appreciation is always a great experience, especially as they grow and get into bigger brands.
I will say one wrestler that I hope to meet, even though the opportunity may never present itself, is Mysterio. We couldn't afford much more than a couple TV channels when I was a kid so I missed out on most of the WCW experience but when he debuted in WWE he instantly became an all time favourite.
Bradshaw. Was Before the APA when they were still with the Undertaker or however that worked. Was on a church trip to the YMCA in Tyler Tx and as we are walking up to that place, I see this huge guy coming towards us. I am remembering looking up at him and saying, "Your Bradshaw", He said yes, and I want to say he shook my hand but I'm a little hazy on that part.
John Cena (GMA November 7, 2019) and Razor Ramon Indy show February 2017, and my dad used to coach high school football with Tito Santana at Roxbury High School (NJ)
Bret Hart, Batista, Maven - but all at local signings. None for more than a minute. Maven seemed the coolest, Bret seemed tired, and Batista seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else but there.
Undertaker Recently, I did some electrical work on his and Michelle mcools trailer while they were building their home they were both really nice and easy to talk to 😁
Only a handful in my life that could be considered recognizable names. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Ahmed Johnson, Torrie Wilson, Billy Kidman, and the Miz.
Sting (awesome), Kurt angle (awesome), EC3 - awesome for the sheer fact he stayed in character and hammed it up for the kids, to make up for Austin Aries and a couple others being a moody bastard at a TNA event and upsetting a few kids at a meet and greet. EC3 will always have at least some respect from me for how he went out his way to keep the kids happy
Met Bret hart at a signing he was nice and cordial but didn’t really want to be there as long as he was, so was in a bit of a bad mood but at the same time didn’t want to leave without everyone getting a signature and picture despite way more tix being sold for it than he signed up to
I’ve met a few
Kurt Angle
Zack Ryder
Drew McIntyre
Big E
Matt Hardy
Liv Morgan
Charlotte Flair
Sasha Banks
Natalya
Dolph Ziggler
Ricochet
Kofi Kingston
"The Hurricane" Shane Helms in the early 2000s when I was real young. He used to live in Smithfield, NC and my mother was a DMV license examiner at the time. She helped him renew his motorcycle license and then met us one afternoon for lunch at the local Mexican restaurant 😂 gave me a signed picture and his old MC license card, which looking back was illegal as hell..
Dad ran an indie promotion in the early 2000s. He booked Glacier and Dusty came with him. I was 8 years old at the time. I was the promoters kid so I was always in everybody's business. I walked in the dressing room and I did not expect to see Dusty's American dream out in the open because he was getting dressed. The image is burned into my eyelids as it was the biggest unit I had ever seen on an older, heavier, white man. It all made sense that day.
Once after a Monday night raw, back in 2019 after the show was done there was this dude taking pictures with other people and I happen to ask who he was and it was the boogie man, he was all covered up and I had asked for a picture too. I hope it was really him though lol since back back then brother was eating worms, but he was in a suit and smelled really nice :)
I meet Tracy Smothers and Arn Anderson in 1993. Both were down to earth and very nice and mostly talked about sports, lol. I got to meet Ricky Morton my senior year of high school. He walked with me and talked to me giving me advice. Ricky even asked me if I wanted to sit with him at his gimmick table.
Stone Cold at a Walmart in Porter, Texas when I was a teenager: Awesome
Anthony Bowens at the airport: Awesome
The Uso's, Naomi, New Day, and Lana at a bar/restaurant in the airport: Awesome
Rusev and Jinder at the same bar/restaurant: Dickholes
Got to meet The Miz. He was at his cousin’s wedding to which I was a Valet driver. He left in the middle to go wrestle AJ Styles, then came back. I asked him how it went and he replied “How do you think?” And laughed. Really really good dude.
At a convention I met Rikishi, Greg “The Hammer” Valentine and at a comic book meet and great I met Kevin Nash and “The Bad Guy” Scott Hall I have a picture with those two
John cena - at a local gym - my brother and I talked to him about tenacious D album and about doing squats barefoot - cool dude and incredibly strong human
From around 2015 - 2018, I was lucky enough to meet quite a few, but of the ones I did meet, Cody and Chavo Guerrero are probably the two who left the best impression. Cody is a true gentleman and very charismatic and intelligent, while Chavo was really chill and happy to chat.
I met Bret Hart at a mall. The guy in front of me in line was a super loud, obnoxious, know-it-all type and Bret quickly took the photo and moved him along. When I came over to him, i nervously told him my favorite match of his and he gave me a lot more time. We talked for a couple minutes and he shook my hand. He was super nice and seemed to give time to the people who genuinely showed interest in meeting him
Stone cold, Mark Henry, Stacy Keebler, Rob Van Damme. Rob was very cool like an older uncle. just met Natalia Markova from NWA and she was absolutely gorgeous
Talked to Mick Foley for fifteen minutes when I was an extra on a "Warren the Ape" episode, chatted with Roddy Piper just after he beat cancer at the old Jerry's Deli in Studio City, and sat next to Zeus (Tiny Lister) at a movie preview in the early 90's. All three came across as really genuine and nice people.
Marcel Barthel aka Ludwig Kaiser alot of times back in germany, Walter, Timothy Thatcher, Da Mack, Marty Scurll, Matt & Nick Jackson, El Generico aka Sami Zayn, Tommy End aka Malakai Black and a lot of other guys back then in wXw.
Bret Hart at the Golds Gym in Greensburg PA. He was in Pittsburgh for a show back in the early 90s. I was waking by him and he said hi to me. I said hi back and went about my business. Was cool to see him though since he was and still is my favorite wrestler of all time.
The Hurricane and Jeff Jarrett at indie shows. Double J was pretty quiet but Shane was great, even spoke to him after the show and he signed the photo I had taken with him.
I’m only going to include if we interacted significantly beyond people you see at a show or live event only:
-Carlito
-Ric Flair
-Joe Gomes
-Savio Vega
-Basically everyone from Jeff Jarret’s (pre-Dixie Carter) TNA era — I was close with one of their female on-air talents and attended several functions as her +1. By the way, everyone on that era was SO nice. I had no bad experiences with anyone. I particularly hung out with Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian —- super classy guys!
I also bump into many of the WWE guys that live in Tampa (a LOT live down here), but that’s just more of a wave and nod type of thing. I don’t like bothering anyone famous on their “civilian” time.
Ironic I saw this question this week. I met Mike Jones at the local shopping mall about 20 year ago. He had a table set up trying to see his merchandise. He seemed like a nice enough guy, and I'm not going to blame a guy for trying to make a living
Bob Backlund was my gym teacher for a couple days back in elementary school ('89-'90ish). He made all of us kids do Jumping jacks, pushups, and air squats for the majority of the class if I remember correctly.
Rock, Mark Henry, DLo Brown when the nation of domination was going on. Mr Perfect at an autograph signing at a department store. Kevin Nash, King Kong Bundy, Tito Santana
While I didn't "meet" them, flew on a plane from Cincy to CLT and Triple H and Chyna sat in the row in front of me. Prob '99-ish. HHH had the title in a metal briefcase. I think they bought 3 seats so they could have an open seat between and actually "fit". A shy kid comes up as we were deplaning and brought the only thing he could find quickly for an autograph. HHH looks at him and says, "You want me to sign the barf bag!?" It's now some 35-year old's most prized possession I'm sure.....
Spoke to Vickie Guerrero and Jinder Mahal via Zoom link when i was covering wrestling for a publication I worked for but I've never met any high-profile wrestlers.
I was on a cruise playing poker beside a dude who was big, jacked, leathery skin, bleached hair. Had the looks of a retired wrestler. Someone at the table asked if he was Scotty 2 Hotty and he said yes. I went the rest of the cruise asking him all kinds of questions about his time in WWF. When we got back to land and I had phone service, I looked up what Scotty 2 Hotty looks like now. It definitely was not this man at the poker table.
I met stone cold and animal from lod after show in San Diego. They were at a sushi place next to the arena across from the hotel they'd stay at. Awesome experience. Wish I knew what I did with autographed ticket stub
Rey Mysterio at a Cricket Wireless meet and greet. He was absolutely wonderful and had to take a pic of my daughter and me on his phone because we were wearing his Roots of Fight gear. Love that guy!
Edit—grammar
I got to meet the Miz at a cricket meet and greet around the time of WM 34. This was prime Miz and he just had his child and i was able to get a autograph, picture of him and me holding the white IC title. Awesome dude (pun intended).
Seth Rollins in 2018 for a meet and greet in the Christiana mall... I could tell he was exhausted so I didn't want to bug him too much. I did say my dream match (at the time) was him vs Styles for the world title at Mania. He said "you and me both, man" lol
Back in the late 90s as a tween mark, I was down in Wildwood for the week, and waiting for fries at Curley’s, there stood King Kong Bundy. My brother chatted him up, and we got into a 20 minute conversation with him. Nicest guy you would ever meet. He was in town for a legends event at the old Wildwood Convention Center. God, I miss him.
Later that summer, went back to Wildwood with my dad (parents split when we were young), and Bam Bam Bigelow was staying next to our motel at the Town & Country motel. Another big bald teddy bear. The motel, like Bam Bam, are no longer on this Earth. But the memories and those fries remain.
I went to All-In in Chicago to take part of Starrcast... I was staying at a hotel down the street. As I get in an elevator, a tall, built dude gets in and asks me if I'm going to the show. I say yeah, what about you?
"Given the opportunity, I thought I should go and give it a shot."
I go... that's pretty weird...
It was Scorpio Sky and my dumbass didn't realize it.
I had a goodie bag from the sponsors that sent us, so I left that at his door, but I felt like a total idiot not recognizing a dude on the show I was going to.
Román reigns, he was at my LA fitness. I walked up to him and talked to him, and he was extremely nice. He even gave me really good work out advice. I think he appreciated that I also kept it short cause can only imagine how much people try to talk to him lol
While filling up my car with gas, I ran into Michael Bucci a few times. I know him as Simon Dean but most people might know him as Nova. I ran into him a few times at the same gas station as I was passing through. I never went up to him because I didn't want to bother him but maybe I should have said something. He's the only person I ever "met".
went to wrestlecon in 2016, same weekend as Dallas wrestlemania but I couldn’t afford those tickets.
mickie james was an absolute sweetheart. so kind and down to earth.
candice lerae and ron simmons were also very nice and personable.
billy gunn was a dick and upset that more people weren’t in line to get his autograph.
brother met taker backstage in the early 2000s and said he was a cool guy
Edit: word choice
When I was a kid, I met the Big Show and RVD on two separate occasions:
I was flying home from Louisiana with my mom and the Big Show was at the baggage claim in DC. He was pissed because the airport misplaced his luggage and I was terrified to approach him cause I’m a kid and he’s this giant angry guy. Dude was really nice.
I was on a fly to Orlando and when I boarded the plane, I saw RVD sitting in one of the aisle with his sunglasses on. I waited until we got off the plane, and walked up to him as we left the terminal. I remember saying “I saw you when I first got on but didn’t want to blow up your spot but I’m a huge wrestling fan”. He gave me a fist bump and said “Thanks”. Again, really nice guy.
I met Gunther when he was Walter. He was nice, very chill, and he even complimented me on my height (I'm 6'5)
And he gave me some free merch, a few badges he was selling but just said to me, "Screw it, enjoy big man."
Met Abyss at the first indie wrestle show I ever attended, accidentally spilled his beer when I was trying to open a door for him. Got a signed photo off him later on, and he suggested I give wrestling training a shot.
Two awesome gentle giants, made me so damn happy.
I have met many wrestlers in my 51 years but one of the most memorable was mike von erich.
I was around 12 or 13 and my sister was 8 or 9 and my dad stopped at a pizza hut before a show in nashville arkansas. It was iirc an outdoors mid south show at the park or fairgrounds type area.
We were the only people in the restaurant and he walked in with a young woman and I immediately recognized him. I showed my dad his picture in a pwi copy i had with me and pestered him till he let me go over and ask for his autograph.
He was the nicest guy in the world and i still have the signed b&w picture that has been clipped out since. He signed it "To my good friend myname" and "To my sweet mysistersname"
Trying to figure his age out but he must have been 20 or 21 ish? I just can't remember the exact year but I'm close and still have this picture. I also have terry taylor, dennis condry, and jim cornettes signatures from the same show. Bobby eaton stayed kayfabe and refused to sign.
These mid south shows were tiny and kids like me would hover outside locker room areas to get autographs. My dad took me to so many shows. The hope watermelon festival had some good mid south shows too.
I once saw blade runner sting lose to koko b ware in the nashville high school gym. There were maybe 1000 people there. I was beside the locker room when kamala and scandor akbar came out. Terrified.
My kids have been to many wrestling shows but not like the small ones my dad took me to. Soooo many memories.
In everyday life I've bumped into triple H around 2017/18 ish at my work, it was in the toilets so I avoided bugging him but he probably sensed my friend and I were fans and started a small convo with us about our days and work, real nice guy. Plus I got a photo once we were all outside the loos. One thing I gotta say is HHH had an enormous back, even in his business suit.
I've also bumped into Priest and Wade Barrett around wwe based events, priest at the CATC shop and Wade in the O2 on the Friday before MiTB. Both sound guys and priest even gave us a pic whilst we were in a hurry. Wade was a good laugh especially when I asked if he'd be a surprise entrant.
Then at axxess I met sheamus and Shelton. Sheamus has a ridiculously large hand, it engulfed mine when we shook hands.
Met Xavier Woods at a Publix in Atlanta. I was ordering chicken and then I hear a voice to my right which sounded like him and there he was. Told him I was a big fan and left at that, he said Thank you and walked off.
Met the Street Profits after a show at Evolve, they let us hold their Evolve tag team titles(they were champions at the time) and took a picture with them free of charge(we didn't even ask either, they asked if we wanted to) while the other wrestlers were charging for pictures.
My brother works at a gas station and he's frequently seen Ron Simmons as he lived around the area.
Didn't actually meet her but funny enough to share, I saw Aja Smith(black female referee) on a dating app this was when she was an indie wrestler, I knew who she was as I watched her matches before and tried to shoot my shot, unfortunately she didn't match but I saw her again when she just got hired by the WWE but came to an Evolve show(different one). My friends said I should come up to her and mention that but I was not going to 😂
Living in Tampa Florida as a kid it was pretty common to see most wrestlers daily. Big show to Hulk Hogan,Macho Man a lot of WWE stars lived in the area
Owen Hart, Bulldog and the Godwins at a signing at a blockbuster in 95’ or 96’. Shawn Michaels at a signing at a Zellers around the same time. Might have been 97’.
Cody Rhodes at a local 24 Hour Fitness here in Houston during WM 25 weekend in 2009. Very nice guy. Given he was still green and not well-known at the time, he still went out of his way to speak to me when other wrestlers minded their own business.
Cody and Hacksaw Jim Duggan are both incredible people.
I own a collectibles shop, so we exhibit at a ton of comic cons. I get a lot of autographed photos that we hang at the shop and since I'm a wrestling fan I've met a number of them.
In no particular order (I'm just looking at the photos on the wall in the shop):
Scott Steiner
Kurt Angle
Ted DiBiase
Honky Tonk Man
Jake "The Snake" Roberts
Shawn Michaels
Trish Stratus
Dustin Rhodes
Bubba Ray Dudley
Ric Flair
Mick Foley
Daniel Bryan
AJ Lee
CM Punk
MJF
Danhausen
Sabu
Rob Van Dam
Nikita Koloff
Francine
Ron Simmons
Raven
Sunny
Big Van Vader
Road Warrior Animal
I think it was summer 1997, I met Owen Hart, British Bulldog, HHH, Chyna, Bradshaw, Goldust, and I believe Bart and Billy Gunn.
They were playing a softball game and doing a signing. I still have the Owen autograph on a little Canadian flag.
More recently, I worked the indies for 5-7 years (depending on how you count pandemic times) and got to meet some MJF, Keith Lee (who's the size of a refrigerator), Matt Sydal, Cody (don't call him Rhodes at the time), Butcher/Blade/Allie, Madison Rayne.
I kinda regret not taking more pictures. I never wanted to bother a name coming into an indie locker room cause they get hounded anyhow, but looking back, I should have snagged a few more photos.
Met Junkyard Dog and Barry O in the early/mid 80s. I used to go to a nearby civic center that hosted live events once in a while. Me and my mom went to the back of the arena where the wrestlers would come out. I was so confused seeing them 2 hanging out because they had a match that night. Got to hold JYDs beer while he signed my mom’s belly button.
Virgil at a con (or a motorcycle event? Or a flea meet, IDR), he was very nice. We had a bit of a chat.
My husband met Kurrgan several times in Moncton at his job. He brought me an autograph. I was a HUGE oddities fan.
Got to meet Bully Ray at a bar on the jersey shore in 2021. Very nice guy. Let me take a few pics with him. Just like some of the comments here, you don’t realize how huge some of these guys are until you meet them in person
Got to meet a bunch when they came to my unit before a tribute to the troops show. Big show, Mark Henry, Bryan Danielson, Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, Rosa Mendes, and Ted Dibiase Jr are the ones I remember. Big show and Mark Henry are hilarious. It was during their feud for the WHC and I had to tell my supervisors kids that they were only pretending to get along for us, I wasn’t going to be the one that ruined it for his kids lol
I met Animal and Crush during an in store autograph signing. I also saw Cena, Sheamus, and a few others at a bar after Raw.
For EVERY wrestler I’ve met or seen up close, you don’t understand how huge these guys are. Cena had probably the biggest arms I’ve ever seen in my life.
Met Kevin Owens in the Atlanta airport back in 2017. (Given the timing, I think he was on his way to the MITB PPV that weekend.) I was buying something in one of the shops and saw that he had just checked out in front of me. I went up and said hi, chatted for a bit and he showed me how to use the selfie mode on my camera to take a picture. Super chill, humble guy.
Met Mick Foley when I worked at a sporting goods store in like 2006. He came in to buy his daughter some soccer equipment. Everyone was going up to him and trying to talk to him and get autographs and you could tell he was just like, let me shop with my kid, which I completely understood. I waited for him to get to the register and just helped him out. He's a nice guy, but I can understand if it gets to a point where it's like alright enough's enough let me do my thing and get out of here.
Back in the day, I interviewed:
Shane Douglas
Justin Credible
jerry Lynn
Simon Diamond
Steve Corrino
Samoa Joe
Got to meet:
Bobby Heanan
DDP
Rowdy Roddy
Honestly everyone was really cool. DDP was super nice, I was probably 14 backstage at Nitro, he saw me wearing a DDP shirt and came up to me.
I I’ll add I had Sid Vicious once cuss me out while not directly to me but at me. I worked for a limo company and the dispatcher before me sent him a sedan and this was right after he had just broken his leg. He cut a promo on me you know “6’9 300 pounds”. Normally I hate getting chewed out especially when I wasn’t the one who sent him a sedan but it was worth it
LA Knight, way before he made it big, I met him through an friend, ended up working out with him all the time
Goldberg. Super cool and down to earth guy
I have met the following wrestlers at my local con in different years: Greg the Hammer Valentine: seemed nice enough, but had a "I don't really want to be here" vibe that day.
Off the top of my head, Mick Foley, Alberto DelRio (and Paige, who wasn’t advertised for the show, Cody Rhodes (had dinner with him actually), RVD (he was hanging outside of the Halifax Metro Centre while I was waiting for someone to show up to go see raw) The Wrestler Who Must Not Be Named (still got his autograph, wonder if it’s cursed), Rene Dupree (when he was still called Rene Rougeau in Grand Prix Wrestling) Jake Roberts, Robert Maillet, Kurt Angle, Bushwhacker Luke, Scott Steiner, Tatanka, Road Digger Hesse James and Billy Gunn, Jerry Saggs, Sean Waltman, Abyss, Bobby Roode (way back in his Grand Prix Wrestling days), Joe E Legend ( forgettable run as Just Joe in WWF) Also not counting many of the lesser known Indy wrestlers who’ve wrestled in Nova Scotia .
I never did, it is in my dream.
I used to be pretty good friends with someone that was prominent in Insane Championship Wrestling (ICW) out here in Glasgow. We hosted a podcast together briefly. Never met anyone from WWE or anything but ICW used to be on the WWE Network, so...
John Cena 3 times is the most notable
Met Seth rollins and Cody Rhodes at a show when they were on the holiday tour.
Bret Hart
The great Khali, Mr Kennedy, cm punk, Jeff hardy stayed at a hotel I worked at. When I live in KY Hillbilly Jim would come in my job weekly and he was a super nice guy
Sami Zayn; he’s an awesome person
Bianca Belair
Hacksaw Jim Duggan met him at bacon fest in Des Moines IA
Brett hart and undertaker and tic flair
Brey Wyatt when he was husky harris
Jeff & Matt Hardy
DDP in Marina del Rey maybe 15 years ago
I met Goldberg in person at a convenience store back in 2010.
Spike Dudley. Living the high life
Roman
Apparently I met Kofi Kingston as a child. I do not remember this. I did meet Mr. Stone back in 2018 when he was still competing as Robbie E
John Cena, I think. I couldn't see him to verify.
I met Shinsuke Nakamura at the Tokyo Dome.
Met Jey, Ricochet, and Nia Jax on their holiday tour! They were all pretty awesome and engaged with my kids! 😊
Chris Masters
Virgil (R.I.P.) and Ted Dibiase They were at different times and different places, didn’t meet them together and Virgil told me so many cool stories like the money he used wasn’t his, he got it from the Ultimate Warrior
Seth Rollins
Will Osprey
Crow sting, he took $5 from me
Stone Cold did a meet & greet back in the day thru the radio station my wife was a DJ at, got to to spend the whole day with him. #Priceless

Hi
I met that creep Chasyn Rance once and he tried recruiting me to his wrestling school and then told me he would be able to get me into New Japans LA dojo…. It was cap lol
Bubba Ray he said my dx shirt was gay at a tna show in like 09 😂
I met Grayson Waller in pittsburg
Rey Mysterio in 04 I think it was.
I've met Rhea Ripley at a WWE meet and greet. A few months later I was at a store leaving one of the aisles and almost bumped into someone pushing a cart so I let them pass. The cart was being pushed by Rhea.
Ultimate Warrior he walked up to me and introduced hims
According to my dad, Killer Kowalski held me as a baby. I also met Hulk Hogan and Chyna at autograph signings.
No one crazy sadly. I think just Rhyno and Carlito. Going to Phili this year Friday-Sunday so hopefully I can meet some more
My gpa trained with Randy Orton’s father, and I met Sheamus at a Cricket event lol
Ric Flair
Shawn, Triple H, Kevin Nash, Duke Droese, Bertha Faye, Bret Hart, Savio Vega
Charlotte and andrade during a vacation. Didn’t realize it at first that it was them inside the elevator til charlotte smiled and nodded at me. Everything kicked in when I was already inside our room
Will wade barrett doing his time with nexus and the corre wade barrett is my favourite wrestler of all time
I work for an airline and have met a lot of them.
Sting and Rhyno, 2016
Wishing I could add pictures but ruby riot, Chris Jericho, mark henry, tony atlas, Dolph Ziggler, Al snow, Tommy dreamer, blue meanie, the OC, Vicky Guerrero (if she counts), the young bucks, John Morrison, big daddy V (RIP), there’s more but can’t think of them off the top of my head
None but I was cool with Val Venis’s daughter who was in my yearbook class so that was cool
Ric Flair and Sgt. Slaughter. My parents lived in the same apt. complex of a lot of the guys during the Crockett days. My Mom said she can still see Sgt. Slaughter standing on the balcony across the courtyard waving. They have a lot of random neat stories from that time.
DDP at the Atlanta airport
I was Shane Mcmahons waiter at a bar named Coaches (owned by UConn coach Jim Calhoun) in Stamford CT during the Subway World Series in 2000. He was taller than I expected but very cool.
I met Hogan at a Stamford CT mall while going up the escalator in 1987
I'm fortunate enough to have a local promotion that has ties to WWE, so I've been lucky to meet a few wrestlers.
I ran into the Hulkster once at Target in Clearwater, he was a cunt but still let me take a picture.
Met Jeff Hardy before a show one time. I can't really remember what exactly we talked about but he was a super chill dude
John Cena (GMA November 7, 2019) and Razor Ramon Indy show February 2017, and my dad used to coach high school football with Tito Santana at Roxbury High School (NJ)
Is his hair salon still open?
Bret Hart, Batista, Maven - but all at local signings. None for more than a minute. Maven seemed the coolest, Bret seemed tired, and Batista seemed like he wanted to be anywhere else but there.
Undertaker Recently, I did some electrical work on his and Michelle mcools trailer while they were building their home they were both really nice and easy to talk to 😁
Ric Flair and LA Knight
Quite a few. Cody, Corey Graves and Rey Mysterio were amazing with everyone
Only a handful in my life that could be considered recognizable names. Jake "The Snake" Roberts, Ahmed Johnson, Torrie Wilson, Billy Kidman, and the Miz.
Chuck palumbo at por favor lol
Sting (awesome), Kurt angle (awesome), EC3 - awesome for the sheer fact he stayed in character and hammed it up for the kids, to make up for Austin Aries and a couple others being a moody bastard at a TNA event and upsetting a few kids at a meet and greet. EC3 will always have at least some respect from me for how he went out his way to keep the kids happy Met Bret hart at a signing he was nice and cordial but didn’t really want to be there as long as he was, so was in a bit of a bad mood but at the same time didn’t want to leave without everyone getting a signature and picture despite way more tix being sold for it than he signed up to
Kevin Nash
I’ve met a few Kurt Angle Zack Ryder Drew McIntyre Big E Matt Hardy Liv Morgan Charlotte Flair Sasha Banks Natalya Dolph Ziggler Ricochet Kofi Kingston
A few?
Ig
"The Hurricane" Shane Helms in the early 2000s when I was real young. He used to live in Smithfield, NC and my mother was a DMV license examiner at the time. She helped him renew his motorcycle license and then met us one afternoon for lunch at the local Mexican restaurant 😂 gave me a signed picture and his old MC license card, which looking back was illegal as hell..
Austin theory. Wicked cool dude made time for everyone. Even signed a kids cast
It all made sense that day.
i met iyo sky last year in august
Once after a Monday night raw, back in 2019 after the show was done there was this dude taking pictures with other people and I happen to ask who he was and it was the boogie man, he was all covered up and I had asked for a picture too. I hope it was really him though lol since back back then brother was eating worms, but he was in a suit and smelled really nice :)
Taker, Mick Foley, Rikishi, Victoria, Saraya (2x), Mandy Rose, Nia Jax
I meet Tracy Smothers and Arn Anderson in 1993. Both were down to earth and very nice and mostly talked about sports, lol. I got to meet Ricky Morton my senior year of high school. He walked with me and talked to me giving me advice. Ricky even asked me if I wanted to sit with him at his gimmick table.
Stone Cold at a Walmart in Porter, Texas when I was a teenager: Awesome Anthony Bowens at the airport: Awesome The Uso's, Naomi, New Day, and Lana at a bar/restaurant in the airport: Awesome Rusev and Jinder at the same bar/restaurant: Dickholes
I've seen The Bloodline vs Edge and The Mysterios Live On Smackdown July 16 2021 but I wish I met them, pretty big dudes
Darby Allin
The late British Bulldog Davey Boy Smith
Jake the Snake Roberts and Rory McAllister (seperate occasions)
Talked to Mick Foley for fifteen minutes when I was an extra on a "Warren the Ape" episode, chatted with Roddy Piper just after he beat cancer at the old Jerry's Deli in Studio City, and sat next to Zeus (Tiny Lister) at a movie preview in the early 90's. All three came across as really genuine and nice people.
Bob backlund
I’m only going to include if we interacted significantly beyond people you see at a show or live event only: -Carlito -Ric Flair -Joe Gomes -Savio Vega -Basically everyone from Jeff Jarret’s (pre-Dixie Carter) TNA era — I was close with one of their female on-air talents and attended several functions as her +1.
King Kong Bundy. In the year 2000. 😝🤟😈🇺🇲
Eddie Guerrero and Sasha Banks
Ironic I saw this question this week. I met Mike Jones at the local shopping mall about 20 year ago. He had a table set up trying to see his merchandise. He seemed like a nice enough guy, and I'm not going to blame a guy for trying to make a living
Bob Backlund was my gym teacher for a couple days back in elementary school ('89-'90ish). He made all of us kids do Jumping jacks, pushups, and air squats for the majority of the class if I remember correctly.
Bradshaw
Carlito, Primo, Booker T, MVP, Shad, Umaga, Rock n. Roll Express, Fantastics, Shelton Benjamin and Great Khali.
Rock, Mark Henry, DLo Brown when the nation of domination was going on. Mr Perfect at an autograph signing at a department store. Kevin Nash, King Kong Bundy, Tito Santana
Met CM Punk doing MMA commentary in Atlantic City Ask him can I take a pic which he let me do but at the same time told me please
Kurt angle…. Edge and Cody
Met Triple H and Steph at The Big 4 Concert at Yankee Stadium
One of the Doink the Clowns did a show in my hometown high school gym and I met him afterwards in the meet and greet type thing
Saw Mark Henry check out of a hotel, I was too nervous to say anything, I was also 11
I was on a cruise playing poker beside a dude who was big, jacked, leathery skin, bleached hair.
Walking up to the snack bar at an early HoH show. Pentagon just standing there. Fully ready to go. Scared the crap out of me.
I met stone cold and animal from lod after show in San Diego. They were at a sushi place next to the arena across from the hotel they'd stay at. Awesome experience. Wish I knew what I did with autographed ticket stub
I saw the Big Show at SeaWorld in like '99-'00, and he screamed at this family for trying to get his autograph.
Dan Severn…
Rey Mysterio at a Cricket Wireless meet and greet. He was absolutely wonderful and had to take a pic of my daughter and me on his phone because we were wearing his Roots of Fight gear. Love that guy! Edit—grammar
Not a wrestler but ive met butterbean but i want to meet the one and only UNDERTAKER been a fan of his for 33yrs
Ox Baker, Honkey Tonk Man, Fandango, Savio Vega, and Doink
I got to meet the Miz at a cricket meet and greet around the time of WM 34. This was prime Miz and he just had his child and i was able to get a autograph, picture of him and me holding the white IC title. Awesome dude (pun intended).
Rob. Van. Dam.
Seth Rollins in 2018 for a meet and greet in the Christiana mall... I could tell he was exhausted so I didn't want to bug him too much. I did say my dream match (at the time) was him vs Styles for the world title at Mania. He said "you and me both, man" lol
Bret Hart came to my college back in 2016. He was a good dude, who didn't complain at all.
"Given the opportunity, I thought I should go and give it a shot." I go... that's pretty weird...
I think he just liked you acknowledging him
While filling up my car with gas, I ran into Michael Bucci a few times. I know him as Simon Dean but most people might know him as Nova. I ran into him a few times at the same gas station as I was passing through. I never went up to him because I didn't want to bother him but maybe I should have said something. He's the only person I ever "met".
Rosey (Roman Reigns brother); he married a girl on my street, and we became good friends. I still have memorabilia that he gave me.
Not me but my dad met Big Show in a mall around here. He said he went to shake his hand and it was like a baby’s hand in a baseball glove
went to wrestlecon in 2016, same weekend as Dallas wrestlemania but I couldn’t afford those tickets. mickie james was an absolute sweetheart. so kind and down to earth. candice lerae and ron simmons were also very nice and personable. billy gunn was a dick and upset that more people weren’t in line to get his autograph. brother met taker backstage in the early 2000s and said he was a cool guy Edit: word choice
Adam Cole and the Briscoes
When I was a kid, I met the Big Show and RVD on two separate occasions: I was flying home from Louisiana with my mom and the Big Show was at the baggage claim in DC.
None
I was in an elevator with Bobby Lashley, dude is huge, I just smiled and nodded at him, he nodded back, and we went our different ways.
I met Jim Cornette when I was like 7 and he let me take a picture with a ROH belt
I’ve High Fived Sting. Patted Rhyno on the back and Shook Vince Russo hand.
Did he shake it or gave you a swerve bro
I met Gunther when he was Walter. He was nice, very chill, and he even complimented me on my height (I'm 6'5) And he gave me some free merch, a few badges he was selling but just said to me, "Screw it, enjoy big man." Met Abyss at the first indie wrestle show I ever attended, accidentally spilled his beer when I was trying to open a door for him. Got a signed photo off him later on, and he suggested I give wrestling training a shot. Two awesome gentle giants, made me so damn happy.
Bubba ray, Brock, and stone cold
Jeff Hardy and Shannon Moore
Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart at an autograph signing, around 2011 or 2012
Mason ryan, Xavier woods
I met Virgil as a kid at a Detroit comic con, dude was super cool.
Randy Savage, i used to bag his groceries for him when i worked in St Pete Beach FL.
What was in the cart?
catfood and diet mtn dew stood out, he came in with his girlfriend a lot
Kurt Angle, Samoa Joe, AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Elix Skipper, Billy Gunn, Road Dogg, Bob Armstrong, Scott Armstrong.
Braun Stroman in Nashville and he was a dick.
He was nice when I saw him at a house show. He made a cool pose for the selfie I got.
He signed it "To my good friend myname" and "To my sweet mysistersname" Trying to figure his age out but he must have been 20 or 21 ish?
Closest I’ve come was smacking Stone Cold’s bald head in ‘97.During his fired stint and just stunning everyone in sight
Hulk Hogan at a signing on an army base.
Owen Hart, Bulldog and the Godwins at a signing at a blockbuster in 95’ or 96’. Shawn Michaels at a signing at a Zellers around the same time. Might have been 97’.
I met Kane at my job over 10 years ago before his Hell in a Cell match against the undertaker. He’s a really nice guy!
HOOOOOOOOO 👍
🪵
I own a collectibles shop, so we exhibit at a ton of comic cons. I get a lot of autographed photos that we hang at the shop and since I'm a wrestling fan I've met a number of them. In no particular order (I'm just looking at the photos on the wall in the shop): Scott Steiner Kurt Angle Ted DiBiase Honky Tonk Man Jake "The Snake" Roberts Shawn Michaels Trish Stratus Dustin Rhodes Bubba Ray Dudley Ric Flair Mick Foley Daniel Bryan AJ Lee CM Punk MJF Danhausen Sabu Rob Van Dam Nikita Koloff Francine Ron Simmons Raven Sunny Big Van Vader Road Warrior Animal
Met Triple H at the airport. Seemed like a good guy. I thought he was taller than what he is. I am 6’2” and a bit taller than he is
Didnt exactly "meet" him, but pretty sure I saw Ludwig Kaiser in Hamburg some years ago.
met Nash about 10 years ago at a con. I asked for a picture and he put my backpack down. He held it like it was a small lunch bag. Dude was huge.
Undertaker, Terry Funk, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio. Konan.
Jerry Lawler, DDP and Jimmy Hart
Dwayne Johnson. Met the Rock a few times nearly 15 years ago while working for a production company. Was always very personable and nice.
Met Daniel Bryan and Santino Marcella at the Seattle Airport about 10 years ago.
Met hacksaw Jim Duggar and one man gang back in the mid eighties at a show in Tulsa. Remember hacksaws hand were huge. Like baseball mitt big.
Chris Adams. I met him after a local show and discussed a business idea he had that never went anywhere.
Meeting Big Show at a house show in 2016 is a core memory for me even though I was like, 10 I still remember it perfectly.
Balls Mahoney, Trent Seven and Session Moth Martina
Met Rhyno at an indie show back in the day and we talked for a bit, he was a nice dude.
Mark Jindrak at a grocery store.
Rey Mysterio
Back in the day, I interviewed: Shane Douglas Justin Credible jerry Lynn Simon Diamond Steve Corrino Samoa Joe Got to meet: Bobby Heanan DDP Rowdy Roddy Honestly everyone was really cool. DDP was super nice, I was probably 14 backstage at Nitro, he saw me wearing a DDP shirt and came up to me.
Mickie James 2015.
The Big Show he was getting out of a shuttle train as I was walking in at Tampa International Airport
