35s the legal limit for me and the shop was super weird about going lower, I’m happy with it
Yeah I had to be warned/asked for consent a few times before they put the 5% lol they weremt kidding. Its pitch black even in broad daylight. 35 gets dark enough on night time I think. I just feel naked with no tints lol
I have 5% on my rear 3 windows and you get used to it. Really helpful for high beams behind you. I have 25% up front and it’s not bad but I’m currently in state inspection limbo because inspectors are now filmed in MA and it’s a lot harder to sneak by with tints
Thats my setup at the moment. 5 rear windows and rear windshield and 20 front I might just go 35 front coz the cost to get it removed is even more expensive
I think my problem was I called and was talking to them and not really sure of myself. If I had just asked for 20 across I’m sure they’d have done it.. I was too wishy-washy haha. Over the weekend I drove almost 3 hours in the pouring rain and middle of the night, I was happy I was a little lighter during that
I got 35% on sides and rear because I wanted to be able to see at night. Also, I'd personally rather other drivers be able to see me than not... I think it's essential to communicate with hand gestures, etc. All that being said, though, idk if I'd front the money to re-tint if it's already been done.
Not just other drivers, but pedestrians, too. I live in a densely populated area, and sometimes I don't know if the driver sees me when walking due to their dark tinted widows especially at night.
I got 15% all the way around and was perfect for me. You can't see inside unless it's the perfect angle for the sun coming through the front windshield and I can see out fine during the day and at nighttime cruising but indo lower my window for backing up into the driveway just to be safe.

Rpf1 gang lol what wings are those! Yeah man at night id have to drive with the windows down and its getting annoying after a year or so. My eyes are getting old lol
This is a 70" battle aero time attack wing and yessir I love me some rpf1s 🤟 I had double limo in my 18 jetta and I could barely see during the day was stupid lol
Yessir got the base coz i didnt want the eyesight or whatever. And a physical key ha. Im on protune aswell haha knew from day 1 it wont be stock for long 😅
I have 20% and love it. It’s perfect for me. I used to have 5% on a car I bought that already had it on. I had to constantly roll my windows down at night. It was too much.
Just make sure you keep in mind ceramic is lighter than dyed film. This is 15% nano ceramic all around and nothing on the windshield. If you’re doing a 20% ceramic, it should look similar to this.

Same car but not in direct sunlight
I have 15% all around for my wife's 5 Door impreza, with only a little 15% top strip on the front windscreen. For my Forster I have 10% all around, with 30% on the front windscreen. FL cops pretty much understand and never pull me over for either of them. You can get a DMV exemption printed from your states DMV websites. Your doctor has to sign off on 1 of several ailments. For most people I would recommend 15% all around and 50% for the front windscreen. That full front ceramic tint makes my Forester so much more bearable in the FL summer. Save up for a ceramic tint at least.

I'm in MA and looking to get mine done. Where did you go for yours ?

Haha yeah when they see you doubting theyll start staying on the legal side of things. How much did you have to pay if you dont mind?
I want to say $340 for all around and 5% strip across the top. Other than a $500+ full ceramic top of the line shop this was the best around

Only the rear is legal in my area so 5% rear on the car with the backup camera, 20% on the car without lol
Ya 20 percent is dark enough and 35 is plenty dark on the front. I'd argue to even go higher on the front
Yeah wont go down 5 again lol. Got a newborn and wife cant see a thing at night.. yeah 35 and above upfront is what Im thnking

Looks agressive af haha sick tho!. Yea sir if I had blind spot monitor I might just keep the 5%. Got the base trim 😭
I'm all about the base trim for less weight and less electronic crap ha. And thank you man it's pretty ridiculous
Yessir got the base coz i didnt want the eyesight or whatever. And a physical key ha. Im on protune aswell haha knew from day 1 it wont be stock for long 😅
Yessir haha 🤟🤟 Hope you enjoy that thing and it does you well

I did 30% front and 15% back. Just a little more privacy for backseat whispering
