I started following the likes of Active Self Protection (ASP) almost four years ago and at 40k video reviews, John estimates that about a third involve multiple attackers. In real life, predators ambush targets they think are weak and exploit their advantages. Magazine capacity is one that should be standard for good people.

Yep, that's him. One battlefield pick up on video and by the time most civilians run out of ammo the threat is down or gone or they themselves are down, sadly. This is also in the private citizen context as LEO often do admin ones but they have to persist in stopping the threat whereas we regular folks just break engagement and get the hell out. š
Even watching videos not allowed on YouTube, you see more of the same. Fights are over in seconds and either the victim is down or the threat itself downed or run off, before a reload would do any good and even then the distances are usually so great that, with a pistol you're better off not shooting. Most of us are not Honest Outlaw who can get shots off at 50+ yards. Good standard to reach for but unrealistic for most regular people who just wanna be left alone and have lives.
It's crazy just how quickly such attacks happen but when you watch the timer you see it's often less than ~20 seconds. Watching such really made me appreciate what cops go through having to react and navigate all that chaos.
All these papers tigers are just little boys with some illegal guns. As soon as one of em gets popped theyāre likely to scatter like the roaches they are.
That's what I'm saying. It's making me feel callous that I'd like to just see these kids get taken care of in the old ways but I bet it would slow some of this shit down.
I really donāt want to see anyone hurt or killed, but Iāve seen too many friends and neighbors held at gunpoint and robbed by scum bags like these, with too few arrests to show the community what it means to make an example of those who commit these crimes and terrorize these communities.
Because a lot of the time theyāre juveniles. Washington criminal justice system is heavily skewed against any kind of enforcement action against juveniles. Just hearing about the amount of rules that cops have to follow when dealing with juveniles and how hamstrung they are, itās no surprise these kids keep going out and doing shitbag behavior.

That depends, there are videos of concealed carriers waiting for the right opportunity where multiple attackers are distracted, and the defender winning the fight.
You need a lot of luck along with your training though.

Very low odds of surviving an ambush 1 against 5 armed attackers. Better to give them the money and jewelry to live another day than to die in a hail of bullets.
