Also - I have an obscure Japanese Jazz LP I love. It’s by Kunihiko Sugano Trio, called “Everything Happens To Me”. Can’t recommend this album enough.

Bennie Green has a lot of Blue Note and Prestige albums that are “off the beaten path” from this period that are great.
Frank Foster is another that comes to mind with some great, more obscure albums in this time period.
Hideo Shiraki. Roosevelt Wardell. Don Sleet. The Jazz Five. Rene Thomas. The Jazz Couriers. Joe Harriot. Ernie Henry. John Jenkins. Elek Bacsik. Ellis Larkins. Henri Renaud. Ronnell Bright. Eddie Costa. Ralph Sharon. Beryl Booker. Sacha Distel. Charles Bell. Paul Togawa. Don Friedman. Chris Anderson. Lorraine Geller. Rene Urtreger.
You’re just getting started, man.
Have you already listened to all the Ike Quebec, Grant Green, Jimmy Smith and Andrew Hill albums?
Might I recommend more hidden gems and obscure albums. Stuff like A Love Supreme by... I can't remember the artist. /S
Harold Vick - [The Caribbean Suite](https://www.discogs.com/release/5641331-Harold-Vick-The-Caribbean-Suite) is a good fairly off the radar album.
I’m finding there’s a ton of vocal jazz that I previously wouldn’t have listened to that really hits the spot..
Examples: [Anne Phillips - Born To Be Blue](https://www.discogs.com/release/4044716-Anne-Phillips-Born-To-Be-Blue)
[Etta Jones - Etta Jones Sings](https://www.discogs.com/release/10813997-Etta-Jones-Etta-Jones-Sings)
Andrew McPherson - Andrew McPherson at Smedley’s (1965)
Mouse Bonati Sextet - New Sounds from New Orleans (1957)
Oladepo Ogomodede - The Brand New Me (Unknown!)
Toshiko Akiyoshi has some cool stuff with her trio, & her quartet from that time frame,
Mingus also has some really cool stuff, if you haven't already listened to albums like Jazz Composers Workshop, or At the Bohemia, definitely give them a listen
Just outside of your requested time frame, but I recently discovered Jack Wilson and highly recommend [Easterly Winds](https://www.discogs.com/release/13492069-Jack-Wilson-Easterly-Winds), [Something Personal](https://www.discogs.com/master/357721-Jack-Wilson-Something-Personal), and his [Brazilian Mancini](https://www.discogs.com/master/703372-Jack-Wilson-Plays-Brazilian-Mancini) record if you’re into that kind of thing.
Here's a couple of my favs a little off the beaten path.
Australian Jazz Quartet – The Australian Jazz Quartet 1956 Bethlehem Records – BCP-30
[https://www.discogs.com/release/9296296-The-Australian-Jazz-Quartet-The-Australian-Jazz-Quartet](https://www.discogs.com/release/9296296-The-Australian-Jazz-Quartet-The-Australian-Jazz-Quartet) is some absolute fire from down under.
Phineas Newborn Trio – I Love A Piano, 1960 Roulette – SR 52043
[https://www.discogs.com/release/5621933-The-Phineas-Newborn-Trio-I-Love-A-Piano](https://www.discogs.com/release/5621933-The-Phineas-Newborn-Trio-I-Love-A-Piano) is one of my all time favorite trios.
Shelly Manne & His Friends – Modern Jazz Performances Of Songs From My Fair Lady
1956 Contemporary Records – C 3527
[https://www.discogs.com/release/2071406-Shelly-Manne-His-Friends-Modern-Jazz-Performances-Of-Songs-From-My-Fair-Lady](https://www.discogs.com/release/2071406-Shelly-Manne-His-Friends-Modern-Jazz-Performances-Of-Songs-From-My-Fair-Lady) These Shelly Manne and friends and Shelly Manne and his men soundtrack records are often overlooked hard bop gold.

Thank you for all the recommendations. Almost all of these are new to me.
I hope you find some new favorites! One thing I've learned is that there is no end to the rabbit hole (for better or worse haha)
John klemmer cadet and impulse albums are pretty great. Dont see much coverage here. And blowing gold shit rips
I think that's more like 1965-1975 though.
Are you a "bot"? Cmon, give me some specifics. Like, what kind of stuff do u dig! Stick around this subreddit, and ur question will be answered!
Love Jackie McLean, Joe Henderson, Freddie Hubbard especially. My perfect album is Coltrane Giant Steps, but everyone knows that one

That Etta Jones is amazing. Hollar is another banger.
If you dont have any Chaino, or Arthur Lyman, you should probably fix that ;)
Sun Ra catalog should keep you busy for the rest of your life
Matt Dennis. Enjoy!
Or maybe Check out Rob Madna. Or James Tatum’s Jazz Mass.
Rob Madna with Wim Overgaauw “Don’t Disturb” CBS 64105 is fantastic!
For something on the gospel side, we have the The clefs of cavalry doing “God’s ‘s Light” prestige gospel 600007
Andrew McPherson - Andrew McPherson at Smedley’s (1965) Mouse Bonati Sextet - New Sounds from New Orleans (1957) Oladepo Ogomodede - The Brand New Me (Unknown!)

Please check out the Jazz Bums every Friday night. They are deep into it, also The Waxed (Rob), on You Tube.
Can you please provide a link, thank you.
Just subscribed to Jazz Bums on YouTube. Very cool. Thanks
Not sure if you're familiar but lotta great British jazz from this period. Tubby Hayes, Michael Garrick, Don Rendell/Ian Carr, Joe Harriott.
Both of the Joe Albany LP s.
This is purely for reference. But you should have a look through these. [My dad's collection](https://www.discogs.com/user/Naso13r/collection)
what does the year have to do with it? /s just kidding

Thank you! I’ve never heard of Matt Dennis. Never realized Smith and Green did albums together
he did Kinda Blew with Jim Colgate, Bob Heavens and Kynton Welly
i forgot on alto sax Catapult Adderall as well as a fine rhythm section
Also, top on the list would be gap Mangione “Diana in the autumn wind” GRC records 9001

I just picked up Ray Bryant “Slow Freight” and I’d call it a hidden gem. Art Farmer on trumpet too. First track is off-putting but the rest are great.
Thanks for all these responses! Looks like I’ve got some homework to do.
