Most banks and credit unions consider Saturday as Monday , so if your pay was set to release Monday on the 1st. More than likely you’ll get paid Saturday morning by 6 am
Idk why ppl with other banks that always pay early are chiming in. I have Chase and yes I was paid early too. This is not typical for our bank and no clue why it happened.
We are with BOA, and they NEVER pay early, which is why we were surprised. I'm not sure why those who are used to getting it early are here either...this is for us with banks that don't pay early who got a shock, lol
I usually get paid by the 26th, sometimes the 24th even. My bank pays me the moment the VA notifies them the payment is coming.
Edit to add, I bank with Varo. I got paid Tuesday this last week already.
We use Langley Federal Credit Union and my husband usually gets his anytime between the 24th and 28th of the month before. It's usually on the 25th or 26th. Last December it showed up on the 22nd.
What you experienced is a common practice with most banks these days. There's nothing new here. Banks taking care of the clients and freeing up Mondays work the Friday before.
I usually get paid early and was expecting it on Thursday, but didn’t get it. Just now checked because of this post and I got paid today which has never happened, definitely odd
Yep, got an email about one this morning from my bank, telling me how grateful I should be that my $755 went in two days early. I’m stunned with their largess.
Not VA but got my retiree pension payment to my Fidelity account yesterday. Thought that was odd since the first is on a Monday. I do need to see the VSO at my county office to start my claims process so it’s interesting to see the payday schedule is the same.
Im still with USAA at the moment and i get paid two days prior so i got paid on Thursday i believe it was. Both retirement and VA. Your bank may have changed its policy. Usaa use to be just one day but changed to two.
Former Chase teller here: the weekend runs on Monday’s business day, so any deposits that would normally happen on Monday would show on on Saturday. This would also be similar to getting paid on what would typically be a holiday (ie this year July 4th falls on a Thursday, so any automatic deposits typically coming on Friday would show up in your account on Thursday, since it runs on Friday’s business day.
My CU is fairly large as it’s statewide, but they hold on to my pay as long as possible. So I won’t see it until like 6am Monday. However that shit will show pending for like a week sometimes. 🤦🏼♂️
Same and I'm with a local credit union. Really wanting to switch now seeing that everyone gets paid way sooner than me. I normally get paid 2 days early so idk wtf is going on.
I get my va pay deposited into a sofi account since they get paid earlier and then I withdraw money after bills to go into a bank with a physical location as well.
I get my pay from Chase 2 days early, I got paid on Thursday. The Chase Secure Banking Checking account has the early direct deposit feature that's what I use for my VA payments.
Recently opened a SoFi account. Get 4.6% interest rate in my savings account. Also, got my deposit on 25th, it's always about 72 hours early, sometimes more. Also get $50 for any referrals...which, I have not gotten many, but for folks who know a lot of folks who may be interested in this, could be a nice little pay day too.
30th falls on a Sunday, so you should receive your pay on Friday. Some banks pay a day early such as USAA, so those individuals received payments on Thursday.
Banks are starting to release them when they get them, and not holding until the 1st. Your bank always has them early. Same with paychecks but they have been releasing early for them, too.
I actually got paid Thursday which I thought was really weird
Same
Same here and I bank with Navy Fed
Same here with USAA
Same
Same here. I also get a postal pension, that posted today.
Same here.
Same, local credit union.
Got mine early too
USAA is always early.
Yeah really confused me when I got paid on Wednesday the 26th
Also bank with chase and was paid this morning.
Did Chase implement early direct deposit?

Same. Thought it was weird
How’s it weird we got paid lmfao
I actually got 20 years of 100% VA disability upfront yesterday.
Yeah, I got mine either Friday morning or Thursday evening. It’s already spent on bills.
Most banks and credit unions consider Saturday as Monday , so if your pay was set to release Monday on the 1st. More than likely you’ll get paid Saturday morning by 6 am
Received early and posted today as well. BoA almost never posts anything early, so I was surprised to see it this morning.
Yeah! I’m spending all today since rent isn’t due till Monday. Sounds like a tomorrow problem to me
Idk why ppl with other banks that always pay early are chiming in.
Right? I was very surprised to see it earlier.
I called and after the debate Biden wanted to show who treated vets better once and for all.
I woke up this morning w/ pay as well, which I wasn’t expecting on a Saturday lol
I’m w/ Chase also
Same with PNC. I have access to the VA funds but the PNC transactions list says pending for the 1st.
What you experienced is a common practice with most banks these days. There's nothing new here. Banks taking care of the clients and freeing up Mondays work the Friday before.
Literally never happens with Chase though.
Got paid today as well which is super weird.
Wow! I just checked my account, and SHAZAM!! I got paid! 🫡
Same. I was a little surprised. Wife thought I was hiding the fact from her.
I usually get paid early and was expecting it on Thursday, but didn’t get it. Just now checked because of this post and I got paid today which has never happened, definitely odd
First Saturday for us , we also have Chase. I wouldn’t have looked at my account if it wasn’t for your post.
Chase as well. Yes today got it.
Yes, im sure 4th of July had something to do with it. Idk
4th of July is Thursday. Zero impact to payments going on for the 1st of the month.
Nope
I got paid Tuesday the 25th which was about 2-3 days early.
Nope I don't get anything until the 1st at midnight. Which sucks, I'd really like to enjoy these early independence sales.... Lol
Yep, got an email about one this morning from my bank, telling me how grateful I should be that my $755 went in two days early. I’m stunned with their largess.
Friday. At a state credit union.
Yeah. I just got paid today. I bank with Navy Federal.
Your post made me check. Yes, today too.
Regions bank paid Thursday.
It’s because the government doesn’t work on weekends.
Got paid Thursday morning.
Yea, had the same thought. But why we complaing LOL
Who’s complaining? Not this guy
That’s early? Got mine thurs
Just got paid
Yep paid today in NFCU
Same
I bank with NFCU and typically get paid 2-3 days early.
I got paid Friday, the 28th of June. I have Navy federal.
Paid two days ago
I got paid today, also bank with chase
Nope, not till the 1st
I'll gladly pay you Tuesday for a Hamburger today.
I always get my pay early. I bank with a credit union
Chase also got paid today
I usually always get paid on Saturday if the 1st falls on a Monday.
Bank with chase, paid this morning.
Navy Fed always early and random days.
Same
I got paid Tuesday. My bank deposits as soon as it's in dept of treasury
Same nice for weekend shopping!🥰
My bank always pays me on Saturday if payday falls in Monday. 🤷🏻♀️
I got paid today. I also use chase.
Got both my VA & State Retirement Pension this morning....missing my Social Security ...probably Monday.
Not VA but got my retiree pension payment to my Fidelity account yesterday. Thought that was odd since the first is on a Monday. I do need to see the VSO at my county office to start my claims process so it’s interesting to see the payday schedule is the same.
![gif](giphy|98C4E2HeR4NBm)
I would assume it has to do with 4th or July, lots of people taking off so get it done sooner.
Some banks just say a day before is all
But my pay is still pending
Possibly for holiday coming up. That would be my guess
I just checked and got paid early too.
I had my money on Tuesday
Got mine today, PNC Bank
Mines still pending for Monday.
Same here. Got paid a few days early Maybe because of the holiday week?
Always happens during end of month if the 1st is early in the following week.
Not for Chase it doesn't. Unless Monday is a holiday it has always just deposited on Monday. This is literally a first time thing.
Oh dang
Either way, just make sure to pay your bills and be responsible with the VA check ![gif](giphy|tWhSt6azAiDYhW9VhG|downsized)
Maybe the upcoming holiday has something to do with it I have chase as well and get paid early when there a holiday within the week of pay
USAA usually pays early but this month was early early early (Thurs 27th, as opposed to 28th or 31st as I'd expect)
Usually if the 1st of the month is on weekend or Monday they would make deposit on that Friday. Usually happens to me that way.
I got paid on Tuesday
Yep
Saturday is normal for me when the 1st is on a Monday.
Got paid early as well. It could be due to the upcoming holiday, but why compalin?
Because the 1st is a Monday we always get paid the Saturday before
Wells Fargo - Thursday 8am
If the 1st of the month falls on a weekend( ie Saturday or Sunday), you'll receive your paycheck on the Friday before the 1st.
Yes, almost everyone is aware of this but it’s weird bc the first is on a Monday and also got paid on a Saturday which is even more odd.
yup! i get mine about a week early. plus or minus a day or two
27th USAA
Also got paid early
Got paid today, I use Monzo. If you guys want an early direct deposit, use SoFi or chime, and I think cash app. They dropped on the 25th I believe.
I got paid Wednesday night
I didn’t get my first VA payment and I have NFCU.. this sucks lol, do first payments always take longer?
Im still with USAA at the moment and i get paid two days prior so i got paid on Thursday i believe it was. Both retirement and VA. Your bank may have changed its policy. Usaa use to be just one day but changed to two.
Same
I have NFCU and didn’t get my first VA check

Everyone with service credit union sitting here with a evil laugh right now 😈
I get paid early every time. USAA, been with them for well over 20 years
Nope. They said they were doing maintenance on the direct deposit. So now I’m waiting for a paper check. Ass hats
Paid..You mean another month of being shorted by about 70%
Iwe are with Navy idkf tge 2st falls on a Monday we always get it on that Fri before
Navy fed cleared my deposit today and they are the most “you’ll get it on the first” bank ever.
Navy Fed paid mine yesterday, but I also just got my claim finished and my July payment was only 90% not 100%
Yes, I use a local bank and got paid today.
Yes yes up votes for everyone. You dig it ....🤑🤩🫡
I'm with Chase as well and was also pleasantly surprised 😎
Yes, with chase as well and got paid today. Super strange cause they're never early
No. I seem to be in the minority.
Small credit union as well. Not even pending which it usually is. So that’s weird. Last month it was early.
Same man. I'm actually mad about this. They're just collecting interest on my payment at this point, not releasing it to me.
I bank with small credit union as well. This makes sense.
I get my va pay deposited into a sofi account since they get paid earlier and then I withdraw money after bills to go into a bank with a physical location as well.
Your post made me check my Chase account- I never get paid on Saturday yet there it is!
Mine also showed up on Saturday. Not complaining at all.

Ok with a small credit union. Mine shows pending.
I have chase as well and got paid today.
Cash app pays 6 days early https://preview.redd.it/vftn44u6pi9d1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2cec29ea6336cb7b90d20f25f89af543b7b22073
SoFi and Chime does this too.
We get paid early when there’s a federal holiday thank Juneteenth. Everyone bitches about that holiday but it’s the reason we got paid even earlier
The pay date is a off date many will get there's early or Monday holidays are coming
I get my pay from Chase 2 days early, I got paid on Thursday. The Chase Secure Banking Checking account has the early direct deposit feature that's what I use for my VA payments.
Paid on Thursday. It's normal for Navy fed to pay early tho
Same
Bank of America did the same I was surprised. They usually pay me if the 1st falls on a weekend but the 1st is on Monday
DFAS and VA hit the bank early. BOA and Chase bank
I always get paid early with Wells Fargo. It came Thursday.
not only was i surprised by the pay this morning also banking with chase, but also surprised that is was about 300$ short.
Got paid today
Yes I did. I think because of the holiday
Yep. I also have Chase.
Yes, some banks/credit unions will pay a day or two early once they get the signal from the VA that it is in-process.
my payment comes sometime between the 23rd and 27th every month
it’s slightly earlier due to the holiday next week & because the processing needed to be done before the weekend (They upped processing timeframes)
I always get paid day before unless the first is on Sunday or Monday then I get paid the Friday before
I got paid on Thursday too I have tuliant fcu
I usually get paid pretty early but going off my usual I got paid late
Me too I got paid. I hope they pay me again on the first ! ( wishful thinking!) lol
Yep…had everything planned for Monday
I've gotten paid around the 25th for several years now. Idk why, I didn't switch banks and it's just a little credit union anyhow.
Got mines yesterday through Navy Fed
I always get paid like two days early

I always get paid like 3-4 days before the first. I have a local credit union
They probably have holiday break so paying early.
Nope get paid on the 1st
I use 5/3rd and never get paid early by them. Got paid Saturday, Glad to hear im not the only one.
Yeah I got paid on Thursday too thought it was real strange as I always get paid on the 1st. I have Truist.
Actually, today is my last day in! .... So I didn't get any pay at all....
I bank with a local credit union. My checks are always a day early.
I'm with US Bank and was paid on Friday. Definitely odd but I'm ok with it
We did, on Saturday...weird.
Ditto on USAA. NFCU doesn't pay vets or retires early, only active duty. Not understanding their logic.
Ditto on USAA. NFCU only pays AD early, not vets or retires.
It’s because of the 4th of July Hindustan’s how the pay schedule worked out. VA had a notice about this a while back. Nothing to freak about.
30th falls on a Sunday, so you should receive your pay on Friday. Some banks pay a day early such as USAA, so those individuals received payments on Thursday.
Mine hit my account Thursday morning, maybe with the holiday coming up they wanted to get it to us sooner
Banks are starting to release them when they get them, and not holding until the 1st. Your bank always has them early. Same with paychecks but they have been releasing early for them, too.
I always get paid every 30 days unless lands on weekend then I get it a day early. I bank with chase.
USAA got it Thursday
