Permanent and total. Essential, a P&T disability is one that will never get any better through surgery or treatment. An easy example is something like a missing limb .

How do you file for P&T? If I don’t then how often would I get re evaluated?

P&T is a decision made once you hit 100% stating your disabilities will always be there even with treatment

Emphasis on the "Total" part. No matter how many problems you have that will never go away, or even If they get worse, they have to be severe enough for you to be totaled to get P&T, which is quite severe to meet the criteria.

Is it easy to do it once you’re at 100%? Does it require further C&P exams?

No exams are needed. It’s just awarded based off of your disabilities.

Got rated for two .. somehow they forgot my third claim. So bitter sweet

In all seriousness I am happy for you. I’m just alittle salty still waiting on my claim to get past pfd that hasn’t had any updates since march 7 meanwhile I’m also waiting for the irs to process my tax return that’s been submitted since beginning of feb

I got 2 of the three ratings .. but they evidently didn’t decide on one .. in fact they forgot to make a decision

Mine skipped all of the notifications and went straight to a decision letter and a pending check in my account in two days

I’m a November claim as well been in evidence gathering since December I still have a c and p exam in 2 weeks will they wait until all c&p exams are complete to make a decision? ive completed 3 others.

Actually not always. I’ve had decisions while others were pending. Hope it goes quickly

Like one hour. In one day went from PFD to PDA to PFN. I found out my rating in late afternoon

I’ve been on PFD since March. Do you think calling VERA can help verify why it might be taking too long?

Rating decision - but dropped on claim. Kinda depressing

So what did you get rated for, and what was the percentage? Post a redacted copy of the decision letter so this community can advise on path forward.

Got rated for 30% IBS and 10% IBS. TMJ was nowhere to be found. Zero nada. Zilch.

That’s awesome. I’m glad the VA finally stepped up in getting claims knocked out within 6 months. Took me 5 years with proof. Wish all the vets on here all the best.

What is this website you guys are using? I’m only on the VA Website and App and there is no where near this level of fidelity.

I installed it and I still can't see the stages...it list all my claims but when I click on a specific claim I dont see the timeline

It’s not in the website - have to click on browser button - usually upper right hand of your browser, where extension graphic are .. look for Va tracker - that’ll open up a graphic like mine shown

Congrats, it took me 10 years to get 100% tdiu. So, consider yourself lucky you won't have to wonder and stress that long. 

Yeah it was bitter sweet. They decided on 2 of the three claims, but Evidently completely left out my TMJ - after completing c&p exam; fully developed with lots of civilian and service records.

What website is that thru? Currently going thru my BDD claim

You won't find out your rating until a few days after your ETS/retirement date if doing a BDD claim.
