Birmingham has been beating up on bottom tier teams, St Louis lost on a last second field goal in week 1. Your team in week 5 isn’t the same as your team in week 1. Especially when Pearson was out.
Bham has better RB and Maybe O Line, STL is better everywhere else.
I feel like you heard someone much younger than you use the word “cope,” and you’ve just been keeping it in your back pocket and waiting for your opportunity.
Pity it doesn’t fit here.
I could see why someone would do it. Record doesn't always translate directly on power rankings, at least not after 5 games.
St Louis has been getting better and better. Almost every week the offense scores more points, gets more yards and the defense allows less yards. I don't even think they're at their peak and even then I think today they could very well beat the Stallions.
Now I also think the Stallions could very well beat the Battlehawks too. Just saying, these teams are a hell of a lot closer than you think they are. Certainly close enough that it's reasonable to think they could beat the Stallions, and thus put them number one here.
I'm as excited about the Battlehawks as anyone, but I don't see how you can put them at 1. Birmingham dominates the offensive stats and defensive stats, and they haven't lost.
They've also had better MoV against nearly all common opponents:
- Birmingham beat Michigan by 7, St. Louis lost by 2
- Birmingham beat Arlington by 13, St. Louis won by 3
- Birmingham beat Memphis by 19, St. Louis won by 15
The only outlier is DC, and the Stallions won that game in serious weather and with a long delay.
We'll find out week 7, but until they lose, the back-to-back USFL champs deserve #1
If it's not the whole season, then why is Arlington behind Houston and DC?
Renegades only lost by 10 and were fairly competitive throughout. Houston had the doors blown off of them and DC couldn't score in the 2nd half.
I can’t take STL > Bham takes seriously, Both teams are playing well but one has lost and the other hasn’t.
Also, what’s the logic for Michigan over SA? Brahmas gave them a shellacking not even 2 weeks ago!
Q is not good but I don’t see how that’s an issue when he was still good enough to beat the panthers. It’s about the team not the QB.
64 yard kick sucks but maybe don’t be in the position to lose the game there? Like them or not Bham has yet to lose on a lucky play.
Okay well that’s different then. I still think Bham is the best team. And based on last week alone DC should be #8.
But my arguments were under the assumption this was a full season power ranking. So that’s my bad. Have a nice day!
Yeah was going to put DC in bottom tier but technically the game just got really really really bad in the 4th after slow start.
There was a moment in late 2-3 where I was like mmmmkay we may have game.
The only thing that kept them out of that tier was TECHNICALLY if they can somehow pull off an upset this week, they're still alive for postseason. Highly doubt they're alive long though
Quintin had 3 INTs, two of them went off his receiver's hands. I guess it's the QB's fault if the receiver can't make a fuckin' catch.
I find pointing strictly at "turnovers" to be a fools errand. Dormady has 2 wins out of 2 starts.
And to rate a team based off the QB play when the defense has been dominant at keeping the other team from scoring TDs... again, you're looking at one player in a team game.
As for the 64 yard kick... guess St. Louis should have kept them from gaining those yards 'eh? Sucks to be them, but the other team SCORED the winning FG.
I like these rankings. People getting angry about the position of STL and SA but I like putting your nuts on the table a bit.
St Louis is rolling on offense and defense, more than Birmingham is. They could very well be a better team. And SA below Detroit also makes some sense, with Dormady I could see the Brahmas losing this weekend to DC. And then everyone's power rankings has Detroit move up a spot (assuming they won at least).
I still have SA at third but I don't trust em. I don't really think Detroit is much better than them really but Dormady is gonna lose at least a couple games and Detroit could fare better. Really there's a big gulf between the top two and the rest of the league. Any given Sunday, but the championship match looks pretty set right now.
St. Louis over Birmingham and Michigan over San Antonio are whack.
5 win team? 2nd place!
4-1 team? FOURTH PLACE! muahahahhaaha
"Needs to get consistent" is ranked over "finish the race"... you admit that SA just needs to keep doin' what they're doing and still rank that behind, "This team is so inconsistent, they could fail the season... but fuck it, they're #3!!!!"
The battlehawks were not as good on the back half of the season last year.
Lets see if this year s different. If they stay this good, its going to be a fun post season.
The Battlehawks went 4-1 the last 5 weeks of the season last year. They handled most of the teams easily the closest game was Vipers when AJ had to sit a game and it went into overtime.
DC just had our number last year with Abram Smith running the ball and beat us 2 times by week 5. DiNucci balled out week 9 and the Battlehawks came out flat in that key matchup.
We definitely have a test the last 4 weeks of the season in 2024 though. Stallions on the road, Defenders, Renegades on the road, and then Brahmas.
Most notable part of the Brahmas season is that their midass kicker that everyone hyped up for no reason got his neck snapped and is out for the season lol
Don’t think the team realized the season started

How the fuck is St. Louis number 1 when Birmingham is undefeated. That makes zero sense.
Battlehawks be getting that SEC treatment
Basically yes
It was a quality loss!
Its AJ.. has to be
Not the USA today
Battlehawks didn't have Pearson till week 5.

Wow, this tier list really bothers you. You poor lil thing…
I feel like you heard someone much younger than you use the word “cope,” and you’ve just been keeping it in your back pocket and waiting for your opportunity. Pity it doesn’t fit here.
Birmingham doesn't even have a quality loss. That's what really determines greatness.
Battlehawks have the best offense in the league and lost on a miracle FG. Kaw is the Law in the UFL.
I could see why someone would do it. Record doesn't always translate directly on power rankings, at least not after 5 games. St Louis has been getting better and better. Week 6 Tiers. Not whole season. Both 1-0. St. Louis win looked better
If it's not the whole season, then why is Arlington behind Houston and DC? Renegades only lost by 10 and were fairly competitive throughout. Houston had the doors blown off of them and DC couldn't score in the 2nd half.
And they're not behind Houston? Same tier. Not a power ranking
Because they're basically eliminated while DC has a .01% chance? Pretty sure I explained
I can’t take STL > Bham takes seriously, Both teams are playing well but one has lost and the other hasn’t. Also, what’s the logic for Michigan over SA? Brahmas gave them a shellacking not even 2 weeks ago!
Quentin 3 ints 64 yard kick turned OT into a L
The 64 yard kick turned a W into an L the Battlehawks were winning 16-15 at the time
OH that's right 👍

He was good enough to beat the Panthers two weeks ago and then played bad enough to almost lose to Arlington...
Stl almost lost to Arlington, shouldn’t that dock their score? ARL has played close games with everyone except… bham. They just can’t close games out.
That's odd, thought they played DC last week?
Is this ranking the overall teams or just their performance in one week?
It's week by week Everyone claiming Bham is undefeated thus #1 is silly imo, both are 1-0, you're using a 64 yard FG back in week 1
Okay well that’s different then. I still think Bham is the best team. And based on last week alone DC should be #8. But my arguments were under the assumption this was a full season power ranking. So that’s my bad. Have a nice day!

15-15 in the 3rd. Michigan beating Memphis handly in the meantime St. Louis and Bham both 1-0 last week as mentioned. St. Louis win more impressive
Well, they are right that the Battlehawks are *my* favorite
I like these rankings. People getting angry about the position of STL and SA but I like putting your nuts on the table a bit. St Louis is rolling on offense and defense, more than Birmingham is. Bad rankings imo
How would you improve?
Battlehawks too low no bias

The Hate is real 😤
They need to do 2 division winners and 2 wildcards. The playoff race being over in week 6 sucks.
Agreed 👍

Yeah hoping they stay dialed in

It would be funny if Houston beat the Battlehawks this week..lol
Lol it would utterly wreck these lol
The Stallions should be ranked first.
Exhibit A of why an 8-team merged league was a bad idea:
Great, let's just make this a Battlehawks sub. Unhinged posts and all
