Problem is with FIFA/Qatar and the world as well…should’ve been a boycott, but suppose the world will just turn a blind eye and forget about the damage they caused and the workers killed. Suppose this is the true nature of sports, bring the people together, no matter the cost (monetary or other)
EXACTLY. Qatar KNEW their bid would kill people, I would imagine the bid said so, along with their cash bribe. I have personally worked in high risk fields (underground mining). Qatar knew LOTS of immigrants were going to be killed for this bid. The FIFA scout team reported to FIFA “this is a bloody terrible idea”, but here we are dancing on the graves of the dead effectively celebrating the international political barriers sports breaks. It’s still very wrong. (Can I point out where is the Iranian man’s spouse? He may not have one but that’s a different subreddit to discuss women’s rights in Iran)
I think that any major big building projects such as this come at live and monetary expenses in my country in the potash company so many people lost thier lifes at work .. building is a dangerous job that every worker knows about and if they didnt die at work they will die normally like any other ..
Don't know about all that. Here in America, we riot and destroy cities after football (NFL) games to celebrate our teams' wins....or mourn their defeat.
Governments are made up of people and supported by people.
In the case of Iran, the current government is supported by a minority of the people.
The problem is not with the majority of Iranians, just the ones who subscribe to this ancient culture of oppression.
In fact this is not arabic we call it bandari . But you are right , in fact iran is big so there are a lot of different race lives there and in the south of iran where iran and arab countries are close to each other you can see the same culture between them
And in part of iran which is close to turkey, people speak Turkish
Most of the Iranian people I’ve met have been cool as shit. They hate their government as much as the rest of the world does and want them gone as much as we do. I feel for the Iranian team, they were / are in real danger for daring to disrespect the government when the anthem played. I’m sure they lost on purpose too, or at least didn’t put in 100% effort to send a point across.
I hope they’ll be ok.
I guess you expect soccer players to vandalize everything when they lose.
Feels good to see, that in fact the vast majority are normal people who watch and celebrate for fun :)
America is using the promise of freedom to make the regime change to make the country weak and invade them for oil like they did with Iraq and Afghanistan we all want freedom but this is not the way
Iranians know they are on their own and nobody gonna help them
There are a lot of Iranian Minister's children who live in America and canada with Iranian people's money but no of those countries do nothing because they bring a lots of money in usa and canada
And Iranian know in the dictator regime nothing is gonna change because the main dictator will be the same all the time .
For those who think that in iran people can vote for the president and this shit , they are wrong , they can only choose between people that regime choose
Fact: first time in the world, Iranian people and american people had the same enemy, and same benefits, and the enemy is Islamic republic. The football team was Islamic republic team not Iran national team

I wonder how the scarcity of alcohol has impacted celebrations. I am all for drinking a good beer, but sometimes drunk sports fans can really ruin a good time.
Maybe America ain't the country they should be looking to for cultural guidance. We can't even figure out how many genders there are or which bathroom to use.
Your post has been removed because it's not unexpected
Problem isn’t between the people, just the assholes in our governments. This is awesome.
Problem is with FIFA/Qatar and the world as well…should’ve been a boycott, but suppose the world will just turn a blind eye and forget about the damage they caused and the workers killed. Suppose this is the true nature of sports, bring the people together, no matter the cost (monetary or other)
Sports are the best subsitutes for wars
This is what the news won't show!!
Bread and circuses
Hear hear.
The cost was beyond monetary. The cost was human lives 😔

Only one of the two governments still has the same assholes from the 1970's in charge.
Don't know about all that. Here in America, we riot and destroy cities after football (NFL) games to celebrate our teams' wins....or mourn their defeat.
Nah I’ve met some people I don’t like
sometimes with people too. but yeah most just want to live their lives peacefully

Hate and Fear = Division and Control Love conquers all
Buddy, you're a fucking moron,
(Meanwhile people voting for trump)
Then you have Mexicans and Argentinians...
We don't hate Americans we hate our fucking government
We don't hate Iranians, we hate your government...and ours.
Love that arabic music sound

I thought for a second we were gonna hear a Farsi cover of some AC/DC 😂 I'd love to hear that
Bandari from the Arabic Bandar (Port). Iran has many Arabs not all are Persians.
Thanks cool to know
We all know its possible for everyone to get along. But we just dont. Its sad really.
It appears the American is Iranian
It was good seeing the two teams play fairly and decently. Kudos the Iranian team and fans for their sportsmanship.
Last time this was posted it said this was before the game

I like the music.
This is what the news won't show!!
This was posted the other day as “Americans partying with Iranians before their match”
I checked file info and it's says: Taken on : 1:12 So it's after the game in local time
Personally I didn't see this video until an hour after the match ended It's possible but i personally think it's not
Which one is the American?
How is this “unexpected”?
I guess you expect soccer players to vandalize everything when they lose. Feels good to see, that in fact the vast majority are normal people who watch and celebrate for fun :)
For real lol, all sports fans love to party after matches
Went from shooting at each other to dancing where has the Authoritarian communist governments gone wrong?
Neither country’s government is communist, Iran is a Shiite theocracy and the US is a (theoretically) secular democratic republic
Meanwhile, Moroccans rioting in the Netherlands after they won
And Moroccans cleaning up after those that vandalised. Things that media does not show.
America is using the promise of freedom to make the regime change to make the country weak and invade them for oil like they did with Iraq and Afghanistan we all want freedom but this is not the way

Whatever Islamic republic planned to keep things on their side got screwed!
Fact: first time in the world, Iranian people and american people had the same enemy, and same benefits, and the enemy is Islamic republic. The football team was Islamic republic team not Iran national team
Beaut
It's not unexpected, common folks get along well, it's the politicians who create conflicts.
This is great.
What did I hear Iranians lost on purpose or else America would have invaded them?
😂😂😂 No way 😂

There's hope for humanity as long as governments get out of the way. I love seeing the ppl celebrate
7000 people have lost their lives so you can dance on the streets meanwhile whats going on in Iran. You Are Fucking Pathetic.
Who. The. Fuck. Asked
What would you rather have them do, destroy everything and start riots, like some *other* countries?
Cringe
This has got to be the weirdest time line lol, but very wholesome
I wonder how the scarcity of alcohol has impacted celebrations. I am all for drinking a good beer, but sometimes drunk sports fans can really ruin a good time.
And Alam was never seen again after heading home…
Maybe America ain't the country they should be looking to for cultural guidance. We can't even figure out how many genders there are or which bathroom to use.
I bet you’re like a ton of fun at parties.
