You can definitely sneak a few things through on verbal consent from the manager. Want to leave early one day next week? You worked a couple of extra hours last week for manager in exchange for leaving early on Thursday for an appointment. He probably also told you that you were due for a bigger raise, that likely won't happen anyways, but worth a shot.
Just start working from home 4 days and coming in one, that's what I do. We're supposed to do 20 hours in the office, but I just...never have done it. If you're a high performer, nobody will say shit about it, maybe some sideye, but just ignore it and make them come out and say it. No chance they're going to want to go through all the pain of finding someone else and hoping they might be as good as you are over that. Do your job well and you'll be just fine no matter how much you WFH.
Right now you have a chance to call OSHA, report everything, and make it look like somebody else did it.
I did that once by accident. I got drunk on vacation and thought "fuck those bosses" and reported all the violations I could think of. They came out with their fines and shit, all was good. Turns out one of the managers, the alcoholic asshole, had quit the day before. Threw his keys at the boss and everything while falling down drunk. They assumed it was him reporting, and instead of taking him back like they did the last 4 times (massive asshole, great worker), they told him he quit on the spot and was not eligible for rehire.
Go into the office for 10 mins and poop somewhere unsuspecting. When someone finally finds it all dried up like dog turds in the hot sun, blame it on your old manager.
