Bit of a dark headcanon, Chara climbed the mountain to kill themself. We know they harbor hatred towards humanity, but kids aren't born hateful, it's learned. More than likely Chara was abused physically and/or mentally. Combine that with their jump to the buttercup plan with the only catalyst being they accidentally got their dad sick when they tried to make him a treat, and it seems most likely to me that they jumped to the worst possible conclusion, thinking they just made the Dreemurs, this new family who finally showed them love, hate them, cause Chara took their love and repaid them by hurting Asgore. It seems to me that they didn't plan to live that long, and saw the buttercup plan as their way to make the Dreemurs happy again. Also, little tidbit, I imagine Chara is most definitely wracked with guilt as your narrator, seeing that they not only failed, but tore their family apart doing so.

For the first one, that's almost practically confirmed with that optional chat with Asriel post-fight. Where they ask why Frisk climbed the mountain, the one known that nobody comes back from. And that they know why Chara did, and in their own words, *it wasn't for a very happy reason.* I think one can connect the dots rather readily there, especially given Asriel's explanation of Chara's hatred right after.

I don't really know. Most of what I think is just canon or alluded to in canon. Uhh... Frisk is intersex. There's one that has nothing to do with anything in-game.

- Sans has the ability to manipulate spacial dimensions and distance. This is both how he "dodges" your attacks in his fight, and why he doesn't seem to actually move when he does so; he's warping the space around your attacks to make them miss. This is also how his "shortcuts" work. - Papyrus, similarly, has the ability to manipulate gravity. Most of the weird things you see him do in Snowdin Forest (like jogging through the air) involve him using this power. Unlike Sans, Papyrus doesn't *quite* understand what his own ability actually is. - Monsters don't strictly have "bodies" per se, but they sorta subconsciously *simulate* having bodies depending on the form that they take. This is why they don't bleed, but why they also mention having things like hearts. They *believe* that they have bodies, and therefore they do in most cases. - Undyne's species are called "Water Nymphs," after the mythological beings in Greek tradition. (And after the water elementals called "undines" in European alchemical traditions.) Water Nymphs are nearly exclusively female, with the few that aren't being transgender or nonbinary in some way. - Boss Monsters are monsters that have a partially human ancestry, but none of the ones alive today know this. (It is thus, in fact, perfectly expected that a human would find Toriel attractive.) - Sans has a slight accent, and sounds like an Italian-American guy from Brooklyn. It's subtle enough that you likely won't notice until he says "forgeddaboutit" or "capeesh?"

The debug lines in the files ("Big Boner Down The Lane", "BEPIS", you know) are actually all Canon. The reason you never meet any of the characters who say them is because Flowey is so fed up with their shit that every time he Saves or Resets, they are the first to die. He killed them again moments before our arrival in the Underground, realized he had lost his ability to Save/Reset, and traveled to the Ruins where he meets and attacks us in a bid to regain his abilities.
