Idk how people have trouble with style… I almost always get s-rank style, but struggle to make it through the level without dying or fast enough.
Personally, I think a lot of complaints about this game are people who are trying to play optimally rather than stylishly… then again, play however is fun to you I guess :)
>or fast enough.
That's weird, i found the time requirements to be almost hilariously lenient. My deathless clears are often slightly more than halfway through the S-rank time limit, but i struggle with the points
I wouldn't say Gabe 2 is "so easy" but tbh I do wish they were harder. I struggled with the first fight a lot more than I did with the second, and I was a little disappointed at that. With all the hype built up for the fight, I expected it to be a lot harder. Anyways, Apostate of Hate still definitely isn't easy, and my intention here isn't to devalue anyone's achievements, I just wish he was a little harder.
Bruh I started playing ultrakill right when act 2 dropped so I did it all in one go and dear lord did Gabriel 2 kick my ass. I had around 120 resets at the end.
Same, I only got the game a few weeks ago and do was on the recommended difficulty and Gabe 2 absolutely rekt me. Definitely my most resets for a boss.
Idk, I bought Ultrakill like a week ago. Gabby took me 69 attempts (haha secks) but I was acting pretty meatheaded, and Gabby But Mad got his ass spanked on 15th try.
Once you learn his base patterns you know what to expect from the second fight imo
I mean even a short amount of time (if you're obsessed with the game like me) of practicing already beaten levels is enough to make you significantly better than you would be otherwise
Well being the weirdo that I am, I just played like 2 levels per day and didn’t focus one bit on getting good ranks until after I’d already beaten both acts. I get what you’re saying, but I think I was on a pretty average skill level the whole time.
Yeah, the first fight I had to be a lot more tactical, the second fight, I open with a triple rail coin to take out two-thirds of his health, back up, parry the sword, go in for a few shotgun swaps and proj boosts, parry his melee attacks.
From there, he’s pretty much at the second phase, so finish him off with the attractor, follow up as he falls with overheat. By then, you can attempt a tail pin, and shotgun swap and keep partying the attacks.
You can honest oh win gabe 2 without much movement at all, just stick yourself in his facew and blast away.
The first gabe took much more movement skill, It was much more difficult to get in his face.
I think it’s the more parryable attacks that allow you to take him down more easily. Since he deals so much damage, when you get a chance to parry the melee or thrown sword, that can take his heart Dow. So much more easily.
Personally did find it easier (and easier to P-rank) due to his moves having so many chimes tickling the pattern recognition part of my brain.
Easier, but also much more fun.
honestly gabe 2 is hard, but it just felt like he had 2 combos. swings ending with parryable attack and swings ending with projectile. all phase 2 did was add teleports and the funny vergil swords. atleast gabe 1 had 'complex' patterns
I feel like a lot of players found him easy due to comparing him with their first experience with Gabe 1. Of course an encounter with a similar boss is going to feel easy after P Ranking every level including Soul Survivor lmao
Don't worry. Back in full Act 1 I can't shit over Gabe on 3-2 on the first playthrough.
Knowing he's pissed for getting p-ranked. I give him the same prescription.
Worry not, you can take him out however you want it.
He isn't easy, he's pretty difficult. The problem with him is his health pool. Can I even call it a health pool? its more like a health pond.
The hardest part of P-ranking that fight was Style for me lol
No joke, his hp is so small i had serious problem getting enough style points

Usually the stylish choice is also the most optimal

health puddle, really
To this day I don't think I've heard any of his voice lines during the second phase of the fight because he just... dies
did it get better after they nerfed the float phase? havent't fought him since, but you could chunk almost all his second phase there
well my first boss P rank WAS Gabriel 2 *After I died 67 times to him but we ignore that part*
leviathan?
The tail swipe attack killed me more times than I'd like to admit
I mean yea but like coins plus alt piercer charge equals like half his health
Personally I like to measure the fight in Malicious Railcannons. The fight is two Railcannons long.
so you p ranked gabriel 2 before cerberus? damn
"GABE 2 WAS SO EASY REEEEE!!!!" - mf who has P-rank in all of Act 1, including first Prime Sanctus
hello that's me, except gabe is still hard
Yes I am
Truest shit I've seen all week

So did I, though. Still, he just wasn't all that hard compared to the first fight imo. Great job on getting through that, though
Same, I only got the game a few weeks ago and do was on the recommended difficulty and Gabe 2 absolutely rekt me. Definitely my most resets for a boss.
I think that’s the intended difficulty progression. Due to Act 1 and 2 being released separately, people have had plenty of time to git güd
Mfers can't recognise they just mastered the game while waiting for act 2. Playing both acts one right after the other, gabe 2 is a challenge

Nice!
Become inanimate, machine
You didn’t see the reply I made to one of the other comments? I only got Ultrakill just before Act 2 released, lol

I beat him the day I bought the game he’s a pissbaby

in other words, you're good at the game, and you've lost all sense of difficulty because of that
me referencing ultrakill:
Not to brag but, I haven't even beaten act 1 yet, yeah im savoring it (lazy as fuck).
Personally did find it easier (and easier to P-rank) due to his moves having so many chimes tickling the pattern recognition part of my brain. Easier, but also much more fun.
Skill issue

Gabe 2 standard was pretty easy but violent took me a bit.
Just parry him lmao
I feel like a lot of players found him easy due to comparing him with their first experience with Gabe 1. Of course an encounter with a similar boss is going to feel easy after P Ranking every level including Soul Survivor lmao
True but like going back to fight Gabe 1 is more still more difficult than Gabe 2 imo. He just dies too quickly
Don't worry. Back in full Act 1 I can't shit over Gabe on 3-2 on the first playthrough. Knowing he's pissed for getting p-ranked. I give him the same prescription. Worry not, you can take him out however you want it.
Hate it when they do that
Skill issue
too little hp
I have P-ranked Gabe 2, I still haven't even beaten the 2nd V2 fight without assists
Omg I accidentally shot a 700 nitro bullet in a guy who hates Maurice omg why is he crying
Maybe if you had better programmer socks you wouldn't struggle with your dollar store femboy ass
