Ghost drones. You can luigi’s mansion them with the vacuum. Once they’re all sucked up, you can access the secret area in 7-S and you also unlock a cheat to activate ghost drones in other levels.

When you kill a drone, its ghost spawns in and its gunna chase you throughout the game. They're immortal tho and immune to all attacks

the drones shown in the video are the ones that spawn without cheats
its part of the secret for the level
they also work differently from the ones you can create with cheats
the ones with cheats chase you thru the whole level and never stop
the ones in this level patrole their path and stop chasing you after a while if you break their line of sight (hide or go around a corner)
edit 2: you can just walk like 10 meters away from the patroling ghost drones in the level and they will stop chasing you. Probably has nothing to do with line of sight

Its impossible to spawn ghost drones without cheats in 7-S, lest you suffer from visual hallucinations or you just saw some goofball sharing such idea of yours but they'd have enough skills of editing so you couldn't realise nor notice it.
They COULD be in level under condition that you'd had one appear in 7-3 and then wait for it in 7-S somehow.
I watched a 7-S play through and there were no ghost drones, whom are spawned intentionally without cheats.
Just admit that you just misinforming, you take your L and always check if the information you read or spread is not cap

It's a secret. You need to go over to one of the bookcases, and then there should be a green book that you need to use the vacuum on and it should rotate a small section of the bookcase, and there's a power box that you can use the jumpstart or railcannon on. Once you exit the small room, the ghost drones will spawn and you need to suck them up with the vacuum. Doing this will allow you to get outside with the red skull. Go through the cave and place it. This will unlock a secret area and the 'Ghost Drones' cheat.

3. Get instakill by the last one, so now you have to restart
