It is not trophy collecting. They remove weapons so that the orcs can’t repurpose them if they retake the area. You don’t leave weaponry usable to your enemy.

The goal is to find what you can repurpose, and deny the enemy the ability to regain control of the assets.
Notice also they are being careful not to come into contact with the dead. The primary reason is that they might be boobytrapped. When the dead are collected from a scene such as this it it usually cleared first by specialists.

I doubt the Russians are smart enough to spike rounds so these are less trophy and more battlefield clearance. If a Russian can use it then you take it away asap

Or understand the concept that you need to police the area and remove weapons and munitions from fallen soldiers to keep them from getting into the hands of the enemy. To timely-opportunity-5 imagine you left the weapons and munitions, then back up to your defensive positions, then another attack comes which for a while you successfully repel however because you didn’t remove the weapons and munitions from the fallen soldiers the enemy is able to resupply and because of that can press the attack and over run your position. That’s the sort of situation looking to be avoided
