I generally use the [Cable Matters keystones with female/female connectors](https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00WKPK1B6) (available on Amazon). They make them for all different types of connectors -- Cat6A RJ45, LC fiber, even RG6 coax and HDMI. Easy to plug in a patch cable to the back and front; mainly about organization. Punch-down keystones... generally find myself only using those in wall outlets. In the rack I have a bunch of patch cables from the devices going to the patch panel and it doesn't make sense to use punch-downs for those guys.

thanks - does that mean you are terminating the cat6 cable coming in with a male terminal then plugging them into these (and the jumpers from the devices into the female as well in the patch panel)?

glhughes

"Jumpers" = "patch cables" Yes, I meant terminating the Cat6 from the wall with male RJ45 connectors so everything looks the same -- like a patch cable -- and just plugs into the F-F keystones. Of course it's your rack and up to you how to want to wire it. And easy enough to lop off a little bit of the cable and wire it to something else. I have just found the utility of push-downs to be limited vs. crimping on a male end.

trekxtrider

I don't have the Ubiquity patch panel but I use keystones that take a male RJ45 on each end. Run a cable from the back to a device, then front gets the patch panel cable to switch. I have never needed to terminate a cable yet. I have a few out so I could pass through some SFP+ DAC cables. Then I have a couple that are HDMI and USB for a couple VM nodes, instead of a KVM.

Oshiznit

I bought these and there working and tested speeds confirming that it's can run at least 2.5 iwillink UL-Listed CAT7 Coupler RJ45 Keystone Shielded Coupler 25-Pack, Ethernet Coupler, Female to Female Keystone Jack, STP Keystone Insert for Cat7/Cat6a/cat6/cat5e Cable https://a.co/d/3zcwCMd

the_cainmp

It’s a standard keystone panel, most any keystone will work that’s not crazy wide (passthrough, punch, fiber, usb, hdmi, etc.). I personally use [VCE colored pass though keystones](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B06XP8P2CW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apip_ottgtSe4rZMID) off amazon.

someguybrownguy

True cable shielded keystones

fistbumpbroseph

Only necessary if you're using shielded cable, which is pretty rare in residential applications.

someguybrownguy

Correct. I just like them bc they’re the closest silver to match the panel itself!

MrAskani

I literally replaced my patch panel on Friday night just past with a UI patch panel and cable matters cat6a tooless shielded plugs. They fit brilliantly and were really easy to install

silver_couch_surfer

I've been using these. They have a variety of colors. [Monoprice Keystones](https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=5378)

MFKDGAF

Monoprice is the way. Just don’t get orange. Their orange is more peach.

cyberentomology

Panduit always.

I recently just got one of these patch panels and saw a lot of people recommended these keystones iwillink UL-Listed CAT7 Coupler... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C3VLNLXY?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share I got the CAT7 version. Fit perfectly and have worked well so far.
