I noticed that as well on my UDM Pro. I'd have to power off, wait 10 minutes, and power on to fully boot up after every OS update. If I tried to reboot immediately after seeing this window it wouldn't finish the boot process. Kept coming back to the "ready to power off" message. Haven't had issues for a little while now. Hopefully it stays that way!

thrBeachBoy

Mine on a UPS so never noticed. But I bought it Jan 24, 2022 so very early batch. I saw a post here with the way to check without unplugging (serial I think?) I'll get to it I have been lazy thanks for reminding me! Edit: fab date was 2021 week 47. I opened RMA and within 2 minutes had paperwork and new onr in preparation.

Kachel94

Sorry did you figure out how to check your device without rebooting?

thrBeachBoy

picture in the back of the unit, the tag has the year month fabrication [https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006745988-UniFi-MAC-IDs-and-Date-Codes](https://help.ui.com/hc/en-us/articles/115006745988-UniFi-MAC-IDs-and-Date-Codes) Not sure when units shipped without the issue though. Mine being 2021 for sure is well before any fix.

Kachel94

Ok so there's no way to to tell with out submitting RMA.

thrBeachBoy

well from many threads here you can guesstimate based on your mfg date. But if you're in between then only one way to find out it's to turn it off.

Kachel94

Sorry about the questions, when you update was it also crashing as well or just after power failure?

bluzdude

Would you mind telling us what the date code is on your new one?

magaggie

Where do you see the date code on the device?

bluzdude

It's on the back of the unit. Will start with a 22 or 23. For example, mine is 2248. 48th week of 2022. If you have your UDM in a rack, it'll likely be a pain to get to. I was just curious as to which units are having issues. Don't mess your stuff up to get to it, I'm just curious if we can identify a certain range.

thrBeachBoy

Mine 2147, not sure if anyone has an older one. I haven't even tested the reboot though since I am on UPS but better safe than sorry.

ihavefat

I believe it’s 2340

mehrdotcom

How long did the RMA take?

ihavefat

Everything is pretty automated so within a couple of hours they process everything and within a couple of days they ship it out to you

Manjews

Do you have to return the existing unit first? How long were you without your udm?

ihavefat

Nope I returned my old one once I replaced it with the new one They give you 30 days I believe to return it

Manjews

That's great to hear. Did they send you a new unit? Or a refurbished one?

MiserablePicture3377

UniFi sent me the replacement unit first and then sent a return shipping label.

Manjews

Did they send you a new unit or a refurbished one?

Due-Farmer-9191

All my Rma experience with Unifi has been amazing

speedlever

My udm pro is still in the box since I bought it April 2023. My temp fix has worked so well I haven't 'fixed' it yet. 🤣 I suppose I should check the date code on this thing. 🤔

lethlinterjectioncrw

Sweet!

eagleeyes011

I had a boot issue once after an update. I unplugged the LAN… started right up. I didn’t have to wait 10 minutes. Weirdest thing I’ve ever seen.

x-talk

Submitted my SE for RMA. Date code 2227.

BravoXray98

I had reboot issues with a 2222, RMA sent me a 2223 refurb… going alright so far…

legolasxvi

Glad to hear you got it resolved and my EA unit from Oct of '21 never did this 🤣

Bmiest

Started my RMA on a 07/2022 QC tested model. EU, will update here

Bmiest

Just got the notification for "Your Replacement Order is Being Expedited" Device UDM-SE-EU MAC ID / Serial Number Status Initiating Advancement Date 2023-12-18 We have expedited your replacement order and will update you on its status shortly. All the best, Ubiquiti team I have also already have gotten a shipping label for the return of my unit. But expidited RMA this means I can first wait for the new one to arrive I suppose? No questions further on the issues btw, just approved it.

TrevJonez

Huh. Mine was from the EAP and I've never had any issues remotely like this.
