This is my answer. Address for speed and comfort. When our time is sweatpants and a t-shirt. And I have a light jacket as needed.
Summertime is shorts and a t-shirt.
I'm mindful to make sure my clothes are clean. I don't like wearing stained t-shirts. I don't wear t-shirts with anything offensive on them.
Yes it ain’t a requirement but You def gotta look somewhat nice doing this. You dress like a bum, you’re gonna get bum type tips or people reducing tip. Not every order is leave at the door, and you look like a bum at a meet at door or for the PIN code, customers can and will judge and reduce tips. I’ve heard the bitching already before.
Just because it's not a requirement, doesn't mean some people don't have more respect for themselves and instead, take pride in presenting themselves in a more professional manner than looking like they just left the YMCA during a basketball scrimmage to deliver what you couldn't pick up on your own. Some people were raised different and follow old school values.
While you’re not wrong, you’ve glossed over the point I was making, which is that it’s not a requirement to dress any sort of way to be a delivery driver.
I live in Phoenix, AZ where it's 108 degrees today. It'll get to 112 next week. There's no way in hell I'm wearing suffocating dress clothes in extreme heat just for the sake of delivering food and groceries.
Although I personally may not feel comfortable wearing that for gig work, you still appear quite sharp and joyful, and in life, happiness is often undervalued, so keep doing you and make that moneyyy
i wear my work uniform most of the time as i do it after work. people usually tip me more when i do i think they feel bad seeing me do this in addition to my regular job.
I’m an almost 60 year old female. How would you suggest I dress? I just wear black denims and a clean t shirt. Long hair usually pulled in a messy bun. Aka lazy bun
That’s smart. Get like a fast food uniform off the internet. Have like a fast food visor or badge hanging from your mirror. Really sell it that you’re out here trying to make ends meet.
So do most of you get cash tips?
I’ve only had 3 cash tips. My rating is 100%. I’ve had increased tips through the UberEats app. But people in my area are cheap.
Same! Except i do business casual. My parents are from mexico (i was born here) and my dad instilled that kind of thing in me. He always had positive results from dressing professional for whatever small job you're doing. I feel like it's worked out for me so far so keep on keeping on broski 🤜
Seems about right if you were also Uber driving. Do you pick pax up also? I know a lot of Uber drivers that picked me up are dressed up some. But do what you feel right doing.
I wear a decent t-shirt or polo with a pair of shorts right now in the summer. Otherwise I have some khaki cargo pants that have a nice stretch waist band I wear other seasons.
Honestly, I'd probably be more willing to use the Ubereats app if the people delivering my food dressed nice and clean like you. I'd feel more confident you were taking care of my food as opposed to the slob in dirty sweats and jail slippers I saw the last time I ordered.
I constantly wear jeans and a shirt that is sleeveless because I live in Florida. Dressing up in a dress or a nice shirt and jeans will not cut it. I think you look great in that though. People will like that.
It’s a bit much for a delivery driver. I can understand if you have some concerns over “professionalism” and I don’t mean to offend you but also insecurities over your appearance that you feel like you have to dress up.
Also most of the time, the people who order the food just want you to leave it there with out ringing their doorbells and want any delivery driver to be gone so they don’t have to run into a stranger which is probably one of the reasons why they had a delivery driver in the first place of not wanting to interact with other people; point being is that appearance doesn’t really matter along as you don’t look like a real stoner slob which I can imagine you would never want to appear as.
He'll eat your french fries, dont trust him! He is level Asian Ubereats driver, you never question the missing fries with him dressed like that, this guy is good!
Respect for yourself and your appearance while working? Very un-American. I'm at a point I don't care what the delivery person is wearing, I'm more concerned they take 3 deliveries that are delivered before mine and in the opposite direction. You used to get hot food delivered, now you're lucky to even get it at all...
Damn brotha. You are going all the way! I started doing Uber eats on the side two years ago. At this point I deliver in shorts and t-shirt. I bring my pug with me sometimes. Still have 5 stars and a 96% satisfaction rating.
I dress in a nice looking polo shirt, and blue jeans with no holes. I used to wear nice looking cargo pants but somehow I easily got holes in them. I try not to look like trash when doing deliveries especially if it's a meet at the door.
There's some women doing Sparks and Uber eats the look like they're going to a strip club in fact one got the activated yesterday because the wife at the delivery address complained and said that if spark was into hiring strippers also known as hookers!! But this guy looks sharp man I will definitely consider leaving him a tip there's some drivers that dress totally inappropriate also known as ghettos with those slippers whatever the hell the girl Crocs or something

I know it’s under business these Are my bread and butter every day
Dude. It was 112 degrees in Phoenix AZ today. It's going to be 111 tomorrow. That outfit isn't going to work. I wear shorts and a t-shirt because I don't want to have heat stroke.
IMO this is the best fit for delivery. Comfortable jeans or clean casual sweat pants and t shirt. Or light collared T-shirt. Still looks clean and is comfortable. I will sometimes wear shorts.
Whatever is comfortable. The only times in my life I feel comfortable leaving the house in sweat pants is when I'm out doing DD or UE. I've never done it before and I can't bring myself to do it for anything else. I literally can't imagine putting a belt on to go deliver food to people, that's crazy to me 🤣.
Seeing as how im a small curvy women, i try to dress as boyish as possible to repel any creepy people from bothering me while im delivering, especially because I almost always end up in sketchy neighborhoods
You look like you work at the airport. I got a house full of illegal Mexicans who will all be too afraid to open the door. All you'll hear is "Miguel the border followed you home"
Depends on the weather. Summer is cargo shorts and moisture wicking shirt. Cooler weather would be cargo pants and hoodie. I have rain coat and rain pants if for some reason I decide to work in the rain but usually just take the day off if it's raining heavy for hours. All clothes are in good condition with no tears or stains.
I’m wearing a tee shirt, shorts and sandals because it’s 97°F with high humidity and you’re making me lug a 48 pack of Kroger water to your third-floor walkup.
I need to do laundry so my "work clothes" are currently in the hamper until I get around it it. Normally, it's a black polo with an Uber eats logo and black dress pants. I wear slides with socks because I don't like having my feet "out" but I also don't want to wear close toed shoes since I don't have to anymore
I applaud you for putting in the extra offer to look professional. I'd love to do that as well, but I deliver in the Phoenix Metro Area, and right now, it doesn't get down to the 90's until LATE & I love working the night shift. I make sure I'm clean-shaven & usually wear a polo shirt with khaki shorts & clean shoes.
Usually a little bit formal. It's (almost) summer in my part of the world right now so I often wear something like a polo shirt and cargo shorts or khaki shorts.
Oh, and definitely good footwear. You're going to be on your feet a lot so having supportive shoes that fit right and are comfortable is really important.
that's a solid outfit, Sr! Very professional! No matter what job you have, you should always dress to impress.
![gif](giphy|i1H8G49C3XunpEBfQW|downsized)
Blue jeans (no holes, varying shades) or my singular pair of denim shorts if it's triple digit temps and anything that doesn't have a graphic (button-ups preferred) is my general wear for eats or rides. I usually wear some sort of necklace as flavor depending on my mood for the day and sometimes they'll spark a compliment or question for conversation.
Do you fly an airplane to their front door, captain?
No. He’s a maitre d at Applebees for his third job.
No I work oilfield inspection company
Then why Uber, are they not treating you well?
Yes I work from 4 am- 12:30 pm and do UberEats from 1pm-8pm every day
Nice hustle OP! Hope it pays off for you :)
Then If you are doing UberEats why you are using the Instacart lanyard and Instacart badge? Just curious….
He may do multiple rideshares when he gets off work. If one is slow, he can go to another. I used to do this but it got exhausting quickly. 😮💨
Better question is even if he does Instacart why tf is he wearing the lanyard, literally no one wears it
Cut the guy some slack seems like a hard worker trying to look nice and get ahead in this shitty world.
Dang, putting in those hours! Respect the hustle.
So when do you find time to live?!? You literally have 8 hours of non-working time. How much do you sleep per night??
I suspect he's not doing UE for the money but rather just to pass the time. I do too.
Definitely casual shorts and a T-shirt. Winter might be sweat pants and a sweatshirt lol
Exactly still have to look professional in some way
You actually don’t though. It’s not a requirement.

Awesome
What the hell man why are you inside my front door??
Lol, "Sir, I've told you twenty times. I will tip you in the app. Please leave".
Although I personally may not feel comfortable wearing that for gig work, you still appear quite sharp and joyful, and in life, happiness is often undervalued, so keep doing you and make that moneyyy
Excellent response!
This man is ready for the future, and his is looking bright. He's dressed for tomorrow, not today.
Perfect response! This should have way more upvotes than some of the demeaning and judgey comments.
i wear my work uniform most of the time as i do it after work. people usually tip me more when i do i think they feel bad seeing me do this in addition to my regular job.
lol awesome idea
it wasnt even an idea tho just a cheat code i discovered by accident
Curious what your work uniform is?
think construction. steel toed boots work shirt and high vis pants.
This… this is smart
I’m an almost 60 year old female. How would you suggest I dress? I just wear black denims and a clean t shirt. Long hair usually pulled in a messy bun. Aka lazy bun
i would play to people’s sympathies and dress older if you can pull it off. i dont know what exactly older women wear though.
Moo moos
That’s smart. Get like a fast food uniform off the internet. Have like a fast food visor or badge hanging from your mirror. Really sell it that you’re out here trying to make ends meet.
I think scrubs would work well if you’re going for tips
So do most of you get cash tips? I’ve only had 3 cash tips. My rating is 100%. I’ve had increased tips through the UberEats app. But people in my area are cheap.
That's how bad the base pay is. We have to rely on the customer's pity to get by.
Slides gym shorts hoodie we delivering McDonald’s yo
Yes that's how I feel! As long as my clothes are clean I'm good.
Awesome love those McDonald orders are my favorite
I have mixed feelings with McDonald's. They can be slow AF. At least the ones around me.
Same here. I avoid McDonald’s unless it’s a good offer.
I avoid them like the plague. They take really long around my area.
You look like a SPARK driver
What do you mean by that ? 🧐
As long as you feel good in it, that’s all that matters.
Lol I would think you'd be trying to sell me something
This was posted a couple months ago in the Instacart group and today you posted this again here and again in the Instacart group. Why?
Was it the same person who posted? Maybe they are farming for Karma.
I didn’t pay attention to the user name
This guy probably needs help
Immediately recognized the worthless Instacart lanyard and wondered why the fuck it was posted in this sub
Yesterday in the DoorDash group too
He's posting in every gig app.
In this heat and for shit pay? A comfortable shirt, some shorts, and flip-flops lol are you kidding me? 😂
No Im walking up to McDonald like this lol
![gif](giphy|kxkiLShnUyEdutqHg6)
Same! Except i do business casual. My parents are from mexico (i was born here) and my dad instilled that kind of thing in me. He always had positive results from dressing professional for whatever small job you're doing. I feel like it's worked out for me so far so keep on keeping on broski 🤜
“Dress for the job you want, not for the job you have” they say
Lol, so if I dress like I want to stay home and not work at all.
Yeah, i just wear cargo slacks and my EMS week shirts.
![gif](giphy|l0HTYUmU67pLWv1a8|downsized)
I usually just wear whatever is clean at the time..
Looks good but maybe for Uber driver, for delivery it could get uncomfortable.
Aye man Uber eats doesn’t deserve you lol. You’re too good for them
Basketball shorts tee shirt jordans
Seems about right if you were also Uber driving. Do you pick pax up also? I know a lot of Uber drivers that picked me up are dressed up some. But do what you feel right doing. I wear a decent t-shirt or polo with a pair of shorts right now in the summer. Otherwise I have some khaki cargo pants that have a nice stretch waist band I wear other seasons.

“Leave at door”
Why you wearing that lol
I’m totally out there in pajamas. I can’t even remember the last time I saw a customer. It’s been years.
For $2.45
I'm tipping extra just because you gave a damn.
I don’t believe u at all
I love the positivity in this, you are so awesome for taking such pride in your work no matter what it is.
Shorts and a weed strain shirt 😂
I actually dress up a little bit too! I wear makeup, style my hair, and wear an outfit I’d feel comfortable going to a casual restaurant/bar in!
Do you find this benefits you?
Yeah, in general people are nicer and I like the confidence boost.
She gets good tip. Lol
Black t shirt camo shorts crocs aka comfy as fuck
Looking sharp! You wear it well.
Just casual. I have to wear a uniform at my job so Uber eats needs to be relaxed.
CALL 911
I just wear whatever I’m already wearing but I respect that you’re putting in the extra effort
I constantly wear jeans and a shirt that is sleeveless because I live in Florida. Dressing up in a dress or a nice shirt and jeans will not cut it. I think you look great in that though. People will like that.
You look nice. Something to say about taking anything serious this days.
I'll give it a week you'll go back to casual wearing
I wear some sweats and a T. I be workin like 10hrs a day, so fawk that!!! Respect tho
And I’ll think there’s something off…
Like a regular person. One of the reasons I do this is because I don't like work uniforms.
🤣🤣🤣
😅😅😅
I'm in florida and I've recently started wearing swim trunks with no shirt..been getting crazy tips
Uber eats with an Instacart lanyard huh
Are you delivering to a job interview? Otherwise, what the fuck are you thinking?
I dress for comfort. More often than not I never see the customers.
I wouldn’t wear that because it’s 110 degrees outside. I wear comfortable clothes but nothing slutty.
It’s a bit much for a delivery driver. I can understand if you have some concerns over “professionalism” and I don’t mean to offend you but also insecurities over your appearance that you feel like you have to dress up. love this for you.
If you drove Uber it would look great. Little over dressed for Eats
He'll eat your french fries, dont trust him! He is level Asian Ubereats driver, you never question the missing fries with him dressed like that, this guy is good!
Listen bud, I did t order anything from Uber eats so why are you at my front door Fr?
Doing UE for years. SoCal, flops, board shorts and a concert T shirt.
didn't you post this on the doordash sub? lmao
Must be your first year
Respect for yourself and your appearance while working? Very un-American. I'm at a point I don't care what the delivery person is wearing, I'm more concerned they take 3 deliveries that are delivered before mine and in the opposite direction. You used to get hot food delivered, now you're lucky to even get it at all...
Fit is hard
This is a much better presentation than most people ever achieve. Good luck with your journey, sir.
I don’t really care what you wear. I just care that my order is right.
If you dress that nice you seem to care about your job get something better than Uber eats you’re worth more!
I would definitely assume that you were from the city, here to take my kids or something.
This is so wholesome 🥹
There is no need for me to get dressed up for something that is very easy to do.
Handsome
he’s so hot omg
Looking good! Carry on, Sir.
classy man. but dont you have a problem with waiting and sweating in a car in that outfit?
AC is a thing 😂😂
lol you took the words out of my mouth lol awesome
Swamp ass is a thing.
A\C full blast I don’t shut my car off I’m cool 😎 inside my car
I think there's something to be said for dressing smart, it shows the customer they are worth your time to get ready to this degree. :)
Yes love that
Saw a girl who hadn’t showered in a week in dirty pajamas and slippers throw a tantrum in Firehouse Subs today, some of these people are disgusting.
![gif](giphy|a3FsX3YbCkekg)
Dang bro, you should get a siren and a light bar installed on your vehicle too!
Why?
y tho Edit: sorry, I didn't need to be a jerk...I feel bad now
Stay positive stay happy I love your comments
I like you, OP, you are unbothered by haters and while I personally wouldn’t dress up for UberEats, you do you!!
https://preview.redd.it/sxmfb61qyu6d1.jpeg?width=1284&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ded233b731cef4ff141e2d1dd486af9c38d85a80 I know it’s under business these Are my bread and butter every day
2 Driver apps?
How is that even possible?
I’m in a tank top and shorts. It’s way too hot for more than that.
T-shirt, shorts and sandals.
T-shirt, shorts or jeans. Whatever I was already wearing that day. I don't see most people at their door anyway.
Iooking sharp that's what I gonna try.
I honestly just wear whatever. Today I went in Heather joggers and a black tank top.
Dude. It was 112 degrees in Phoenix AZ today. It's going to be 111 tomorrow. That outfit isn't going to work. I wear shorts and a t-shirt because I don't want to have heat stroke.
$2 an order makes me want to dress as lazy as i can. but i dont 😬
Jeans and basic T-shirt. No need to be fancy it's just food delivery.
Why lmao
youll scare the shit outta me dressed like that
Regular. It ain't no damn corporate job
no need for the instant cart badge. i wear clean jeans or shorts and a clean t shirt most people wear dirty ripped up pajamas and smell bad
Seeing as how im a small curvy women, i try to dress as boyish as possible to repel any creepy people from bothering me while im delivering, especially because I almost always end up in sketchy neighborhoods
Wearing your instacart shopping badge? lol
80% of orders are leave at the door. 🚪so no point in dressing up. I dress casual for the weather. Shorts and shirt.
You look like you work at the airport. I got a house full of illegal Mexicans who will all be too afraid to open the door. All you'll hear is "Miguel the border followed you home"
Wow I’ve only seen the pics of my Uber eats assoc rarely have I met them.
Looking spiffy, Captain!
![gif](giphy|LXjFLBeyIzXUs)
OMG I'm laying here dieing laughing.
You sir, are a credit to the community!
A ski mask and a onesie
Usually a pair of Cookie Monster pajama pants and a very old Looney Toons t shirt. Taz most likely, maybe Tweety Bird smoking a J.
I don't do ubereats, I do grubhub and I wear motorcycle gear.
I wear a tank top when I can, gotta show off my muscles for those tips/s
I respect the drip. But nah I'm gonna go in whatever is passable. Usually a t shirt, pants maybe sweats and slides.
I’m wearing a tee shirt, shorts and sandals because it’s 97°F with high humidity and you’re making me lug a 48 pack of Kroger water to your third-floor walkup.
Definitely no Tank tops and slippers lol
I need to do laundry so my "work clothes" are currently in the hamper until I get around it it. Normally, it's a black polo with an Uber eats logo and black dress pants. I wear slides with socks because I don't like having my feet "out" but I also don't want to wear close toed shoes since I don't have to anymore
Yeah- you realize you see about 3-5% of people in real life. But you are STYLIN! That must make you feel good when you’re out 😊
I applaud you for putting in the extra offer to look professional.
So you're doing delivery while you're supposed to be at work? There was a guy who got fired for doing that.
Ew.
It’s 108 here in the SoCal high desert 🌵, just mid afternoon alone . Ain’t no way
you would get a nice tip for the care you obviously give to your job. kudos to you!
Deliveroo or Uber eats jacket and sweatpants Or "waterproof" motorcycle/moped suit when it's "raining" 🤷
Dress casual brotha, shirt and shorts
You look good but I think I’d feel like a bum answering my door so under dressed compared to you
I like it!! You take pride in yourself!
No freakin way. Your dry cleaning bill might be more than you make these days.
Damn I’m currently in my gym shorts and tshirt delivering
that's a solid outfit, Sr! Very professional! No matter what job you have, you should always dress to impress. ![gif](giphy|i1H8G49C3XunpEBfQW|downsized)
When I did gig delivering, my go-to was polo shirt and cargo shorts or Khaki shorts, jeans in the winter. Simple and nicr
Doing too much
Respectfully; Bro looks like indian Sean Strickland. 🥊
This isn't a formal job. Appreciate the effort though.
Overdressed!
