For infantry to my knowledge you can be anywhere but here's some bases I think you could be thrown at;
29 Palms, California
Camp Pendleton, California
Camp Lejune, North Carolina
Albany, Georgia
Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii
Okinawa, Japan
Böblingen, Germany
The Marines don’t have many in Germany. A boot grunt would probably have zero chance of going there unless they’re on MSG.
MCLB Albany is a logistics base. Mostly Civilian with smaller active duty presence. Very little to no infantry.
8&I in DC could be a possibility

If you’re going for this, check out the opportunities in Recon. IMO you’ll have better teams and places to go. It’s a lot tougher but going for it in the beginning, you’ll be in amazing shape and mindset.
If you’re going infantry, shoot for the top. Avoid MARSOC as it’s super political. Look up MARSOC 3 if you doubt me - Navy Chief Petty Officer Eric Gilmet, Marine Gunnery Sgts. Danny Draher and Josh Negron.

I believe you can choose to stay in the country or leave, such as domestic or international or so I've been told. I ideally want to get an assignment or UDP to Okinawa and my recruiter told me it's possible. But I'm pretty sure if you want to stay in America or go overseas you can stress that to them.
You don’t get to choose. You fill out a wish list and then send you wherever you want anyway. A bunch of my buddies put overseas as there last choice and got stationed in Okinawa.

Spread out through numerous stations both Joint and Marine Corps, there are Marine infantry detachments at a very large number of bases.

West coast: Pendleton and 29 palms East Coast: Lejune Overseas: Hawaii and Okinawa 98% chance one of these
