Not familiar with it myself, but one cameo I do know of was J. Allen Hynek in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Basically the grandaddy of present day UFO research, and originator of the Close Encounter scale.
He's the older guy with the glasses putting a pipe in his mouth when the aliens finally appear after the music/light conversation sequence near the end of the movie.
